“Wait,” Zora said, unable to keep up with swiftly changing events. “We're going to run... from everybody?”
“It's just like hide and seek,” Anja smiled. “Except if you lose, well, you're going to have a bad time.”
“Why didn't you tell me she was alive?” Zora turned on Savage.
“Because I needed you to be your usual weird self,” Savage informed her. “If you'd known the whole plan you would have gotten him suspicious in the wrong way.”
“Oh so I'm just useless am I! Can't save anyone, can't follow through on any plans, can't OWWW!” Savage's palm landed firmly across the crest of her rear whilst Anja looked on with a satisfied smirk.
“We do not have time for a tantrum right now Matthews,” he growled. “We have lives to live.”
The pout on Zora's face slowly transformed into a smile as the full weight of his words sunk in. “We're free?”
