One of Binx’s eyes was swollen shut so he looked at her with the one he could see out of.

“Where…is… your car?” He managed to ask through the pain.

“My car was stolen from the store when I left from your house. I reported it stolen and everything, but I guess they haven’t found it because nobody got in touch with me.” Tiffany explained sitting in the chair. “Why? I’m not worried about that car I’m worried about you.”

“Your…car…was…at my…house.” Binx said.

“Huh?” Tiffany said.

It took Binx all of ten minutes to explain what happened to him. What she got from it was that he looked out the window and seen her car then he opened the door thinking it was her, but was greeted by a beat down and bullets.

Binx said he couldn’t see who the dude was and he couldn’t hear shit when the dude was hitting him in the head. Tiffany knew Messiah’s work, she’d been taught how to make a person go temporarily blind and deaf. She was grateful he hadn’t caused him brain damage. “What do you need me to do?” Tiffany asked.

Binx said Mallory had it out for him and he didn’t want her mixed up in his fuck up. “Soon…as…her pops…in the…ground…she’s done,” Binx said. Tiffany’s phone rung and it was her client about the job, she hadn’t even touched basis with them yet.

“I have to go to work this evening, I’ll be back to see you later.” Tiffany said giving him a kiss on his cheek then left waving bye to his mother and Tef. Tiffany strutted outside the hospital to her car, the plan her and Messiah came up with at the motel this morning seemed foolproof.

Tiffany was happy Messiah was seeing things her way and that they were on the road to extreme riches.

When Tiffany made it to the cleaners Ms. Anna was watching the Young and the Restless. She gave Ms. Anna a hug and went to her office and started up her computer. It took her an hour to get all the paperwork done and printed out...

Mallory sat outside talking to Messiah who was interested in taking her father’s place with the Coca Leaf Boys. She couldn’t believe things were going her way all of a sudden and figured once he find out about Tiffany’s past he would come to his senses. Mallory’s phone buzzed so she excused herself from Messiah and took the call.

“Hey Mallory, Bartholomew Wade passed today from internal bleeding in his brain.” The nurse said into the phone. It was confirmation that Binx was indeed dead, she had put a nurse on him to keep in touch with her on his status.

“Thanks Carrie.” Mallory said into the phone, a smile spread across her face satisfied with that. She turned her attention back to Messiah who was glowing and curious.

“What’s the deal?” Messiah asked.

“Looks like you will be getting paid, Binx died from a brain bleed.” Mallory said. “I thought I had to find other sources to take him out.”

“I told you ma, we the best when it comes down to it.” Messiah said with pride. Mallory walked up in his personal space.

“I’ll wire your money for real this time and get in touch with you soon as Daddy’s buried,” she said. “Don’t forget Baby, I’ll always fight to get you,” Mallory said.

Chapter Fifteen

Later that night the staff at the hospital received a tip that someone was out to finish the job on Binx. They got approval from Binx to change his identity and move him to another secure hospital. Binx’s partner Tef spoke with the hospital’s management to keep the law enforcement out of the loop. Tef was content with the new location. Now his only mission was to get a hold of Mallory and split her wig. The Coca Leaf boys would want to watch their wigs as well because Tef’s gun had many bullets coming their way.

***********

The next morning Tiffany and Messiah were lying in bed relaxing. Tiffany had one thing on her mind when they picked up their payment- killing Mallory. She was a loose end to this job and they didn’t leave anything behind that would come back to haunt them. That was a piece of the plan that Tiffany left out; though he agreed upon letting Binx’s life be spared, Tiffany couldn’t do the same with Mallory. “Once we collect this money we have another job on the West Coast from an old friend.” Tiffany informed Messiah while lying on his chest.

“Naaahhh, you said we going to the beach for my birthday and that’s what the fuck we doing,” Messiah stated.

“I know baby, but this will be quick, you know this guy always has us doing East hits,” Tiffany pleaded.

“I’ll think about it T,” he said. The room of the raggedy motel went quiet, the only thing that could be heard was the traffic on the nearby interstate. Binx came to Tiffany’s mind, then his home, and the bike. Tiffany closed her eyes and began to reminisce about that night and the next morning. Hearing his voice and his cockiness made her move her legs over Messiah she wanted to moan, but didn’t.

“How much this west coast guy talking about?” Messiah asked breaking her daydream and she opened her legs.

“Sixty five thousand.” Tiffany replied, then Messiah’s phone rung, it had to be Mallory. Messiah sat up and answered.

“Yeah.”

“Your money is available,” Mallory stated. “I won’t be back in town for a few months, but I assume I’ll run into you,” she added, and then hung up. Messiah stood to his feet and looked at Tiffany.

“Come on,” Messiah said. Tiffany hopped out of bed and slipped her shoes back on. Messiah went outside to crank the ride while Tiffany made the bed and grabbed her purse. She hopped in the ride as they headed for the airport to head to yet another destination. “When we finish this one we have a lot to talk about T,” Messiah said.

“I know, Siah,” Tiffany replied with smile. Tiffany pulled her cell phone out and dialed Ms. Anna to let her know they were heading out of town again, and probably wouldn’t be back for a while. Tiffany admitted they’d gotten too comfortable and too sloppy, but they sure cleaned it up well in the end.

“Hello,” Ms. Anna answered.

“I was just calling to let you know we are out of here.” Tiffany said.

“Okay baby, I figured you two would be gone. You don’t stay long,” Ms. Anna said. “Be careful and watch your back.”

“You too Ms. Anna, I love you,” Tiffany expressed.

“Love you more and tell Messiah I love him too.”

“Will do.” Tiffany said hanging up the phone. She wondered would she ever see Binx again and Lord knows she would like to. Looking over at Messiah he was the total package and she wouldn’t dare let him go for anyone, but Binx sparked her interest. Tiffany figured if she could have them both just maybe she would, but the outcome of that would be deadly. Tiffany’s heart was with Messiah and her mind was filled with thoughts of Binx.

In thirty minutes, they arrived at the airport where Tiffany booked their flights. Messiah took a seat and waited, he was hungry so he suggested they got a bite to eat inside the airport. The wait for the next flight out was two hours so they ate and read magazines. “I’ll be back, love, I have to piss,” Messiah said. Tiffany shook her head, and waited until he was inside the restroom and dialed Binx’s phone. “Yooo.” He answered; Tiffany thought the raspy voice went with his appearance.

“Hey you,” Tiffany said showing all thirty two teeth.

“What’s up Ma,” Binx said. “They…” Binx said trying to get his words out. “Transferred me,” he said. Tiffany already knew that it was all her doing so Mallory would believe he was deceased.

“Wow…I’m on my way out of town to meet with my cousin. We planned a trip a while back and I couldn’t bail on her.” Tiffany said, looking out for Messiah. He hadn’t come back just yet. Binx said that he could have given her some spending money to go out there with. Tiffany smiled because he was so giving and sweet, she knew she’d read him right when they met. “Our flight is being called I’ll call you when we land to check on you,” Tiffany said.

“Okay… be… easy.” He told her and then hung up. Messiah sat down and gave her a look.

“Who was that on the phone?” he asked.

“Ms. Anna again… wanting to know about some location for the new cleaners.” Tiffany lied, she didn’t know when or how she started this bad habit of lying, but she didn’t like the feeling of it so this would be the last time.

“Maybe we should start expanding our brand Siah,” Tiffany suggested.

“What do you mean?” Messiah asked.

“You know how Mallory’s family have the Coca Leaf Boys we can form our drug ring around our contract killing foundation.” Tiffany said. “We could wipe that bitch and her family’s legacy off the fucking map- then I can knock her ass off.”

“Who the fuck we gonna get to sell drugs T?” Messiah asked seriously.

“That would be your job Dope Boy,” Tiffany said.

“I aint no fucking dope boy that’s your nigga Binx job,” Messiah fussed.

“I don’t think so seeing that you were left the Coca Leaf Empire.” Tiffany was pissed because he was still leaving her in the dark on shit.

“How you know about that?” Messiah was shocked.

“I am a Ruse remember we know everything. “ She let him know that she was well connected to everything moving.

Chapter Sixteen

The attendant called for them to board. Messiah stood up heading to the plane when he noticed that Tiffany wasn’t following “What now?” he asked.

“I am not getting on that plane, we have lost too much trust between us. And you can’t walk away from this empire because of me,” Tiffany told him.

“I am sorry I lied, but you didn’t keep it one thousand either. “You just sweet on that nigga Binx.” Messiah couldn’t believe that she was doing him this way.

“If I was sweet on him like you think your ass would be dead already.” Tiffany knew that she was wrong for that statement but when her feelings were hurt she was liable to say anything.

“Really it’s like that you would have taken me out for him?” Messiah asked and he was hot.

“I didn’t so that tells you something. I can tell you one thing, if you try to walk away from this empire Binx will get me,” she schooled him.

“So you are all about money huh?” Messiah couldn’t believe his ears. Mallory was right they were the same.

“That’s not it, you can’t be given an empire and walk away that’s not how this works. Once someone name you boss the only way you’re out is death; so if you turn it down they will kill you.” She told him the rules to this life.

“What the fuck I didn’t ask for none of this shit and if I don’t take it I am dead?” Messiah was confused, and wondered did Mallory know that and didn’t tell him.

“You made someone think you were capable of this job so you have to take it,” Tiffany told him.

“What about us, do we get married?” he asked.
