“Don’t worry about us, Mom. Just enjoy yourself.” I hugged her quickly. “I love you.”

“I love you too, sweetie.”

Phil led my mom out of the ballroom through a side door. No one seemed to notice them leaving. I didn’t know how much time had passed, but I grabbed my purse and quickly exited the main doors to look for the coat check.

After following a series of signs through a maze of hallways, I found a closed door with a placard on it that told me I was in the right place. Jagger was nowhere to be found. As I pulled out my phone to text him, the door opened and I was yanked into the small, stuffy room.

Jagger pressed me against the closed door and held my hands up between his and the cool wood. My phone and my bag dropped from my hands, but I didn’t stop to pick them up. In the dimly lit closet, his intense eyes met mine.

His lips closed down on mine, taking my breath away. As his hands moved down my arms, his kiss became more intense. He cupped my face with his hands as his tongue explored my mouth.

“I want you so bad,” he whispered.

His hands moved down my neck and over my breasts. My breath caught in my throat. Everything I held on to to remind myself to hate him vanished.

Slowly, he lifted my dress as his lips brushed against my neck and shoulders. His hands skimmed my thighs before finding my panties. As his lips met mine again, his fingers rubbed my wetness.

“Not here,” I gasped.

“Why not?”

“Because someone will find us.”

“That’s even more of a reason to stay here.” His lips moved to a half smile, and I knew he was up to something. “I just want you to come.” His finger slid into me and my body began trembling. “Come here for me and after that, we can go wherever you want.”

I heard voices approaching, growing louder as they moved closer.

“But–“

“Shhh.” His finger moved deeper into me and I moaned. “You need to be quiet or they’ll hear you. Do you want to come?”

I nodded as the voices stopped right outside the door. He curled his finger inside me and my body pulsed in response. I didn’t want him to stop, but I couldn’t help listening to the voices in the hall.

“They must have locked the coat check,” a man’s voice said as the doorknob twisted. “I’m sure they have the key at the front desk.”

The voices grew faint. Jagger withdrew his finger and rubbed it over my swollen nub. My breathing became shallow. I wrapped my arms around his broad shoulders to hold myself up as my legs grew weak.

“Are you close?” he whispered.

His other hand moved roughly over my breasts, pushing me closer to the edge. Panting, I nodded.

“I haven’t decided what I’m going to do after you come. Will I use my tongue on you or make you ride my cock?”

His finger dipped into me again, sending a shockwave through my body. He then rubbed it faster over my clit until the wave of my orgasm crashed against me. I clutched at him as my hips pushed against his hand.

Oh fuck fuck fuck! This wasn’t my plan!

He kissed my forehead gently and smiled.

“Still hate me?” he asked.

“Yes,” I said, out of breath.

“It’s too bad I don't care.”

His lips closed over mine. He bit my lip then opened the door.

“You really don’t care?”

“You’d have an unfair advantage if I told you the truth. Now where to?”

“My room.”

Hand in hand, we rushed through the hotel to the nearest elevator. As the elevator rose out of the palm trees, Jagger pushed me up against the clear glass as his lips pressed against mine, then opened my mouth for his tongue.

When the doors opened, we rushed to my room. I pulled the key card from my clutch and dropped it on the floor. We bent down at the same time and hit our heads. Laughing, I picked it up and unlocked the door.

Jagger took his suit jacket off and yanked his tie loose. Then, with a sexy smile, he walked over to me and unclipped the flower from my hair.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“I want your hair down.”

Standing behind me, he removed each of the bobby pins he had put in place. He buried his face in my neck and kissed the curve where it met my shoulder as he slowly lowered the zipper of my dress. He slid the thin straps off my shoulders and let the dress fall to the floor.

As he kissed the back of my shoulder, he suddenly stopped and softly moved his fingers over a scrape on my back. I winced.

“Is this from the other night?”

“Yes. I guess when I fell out of the car.”

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there sooner,” he said.

He took my hand and led me to the couch. As he sat down, he tugged me onto his lap. His warm hand delicately moved over my chest to the top of my strapless bra.

“I’m lucky you were there.”

“It wasn’t luck. And I should have stopped him sooner. I should’ve never let you go out with him.”

“I saw I accidentally dialed you, but how did you know where to find us?”

“I was following you. Dex is a douche. I should have kicked his ass just for asking you out.”

“So you
were
jealous,” I said.

“Why wouldn’t I be? How many different ways do I have to tell you I’m into you?”

“How about just telling me?”

“You hate me, remember?”

“That’s right, I do,” I said with a smile.

“It’s okay, I hate you too.”

He looked lost in thought for a moment before he grabbed the TV remote and started flipping through the channels.

“Is that it?” I asked. “I thought we were...you know.”

“I don’t think I can. You have no idea how much I want to, but I forgot about what happened with you and Dex. It’s not right.”

“Nothing happened with me and Dex. You stopped whatever might have happened, and I’m really grateful for that.” I searched his eyes for some kind of sign that he still wanted me as much as I wanted him. “You’re not saying something.”

His brow furrowed and he looked away, towards the TV, before looking back at me.

“I’m leaving in two weeks. I don’t want any kind of commitment or relationship to worry about back home. I know I should have said something sooner, but let’s just say it wasn’t my head that was in control earlier. I don’t want to give you the wrong idea.”

“I didn’t have that. I wasn’t thinking about what would happen. You’ve been teasing me with these pictures and videos for the past week, and I guess I wasn’t really thinking either.”

“And now you’re sitting on my lap in your underwear and I’m having a hard time thinking again.”

“Then don’t think. Not tonight, not while we’re here.”

His fingers wrapped around my hair and he pulled my face down to his. He roughly pressed his lips to mine, then in one swift movement, he slid down the couch. With me on my back, he lay down beside me.

“You looked so sexy when you came before, I have to see it again,” he said.

He got up from the couch and with a cock of his brow, he grabbed my panties with both hands and yanked them down. He made me feel so sexy and wanted that it didn’t feel strange to be almost naked in the starkly lit room.

Kneeling on the floor, he kissed the inside of my knee as he spread my legs. He nipped my inner thigh with his teeth, and I jumped and giggled.

“You’re beautiful,” he whispered as his lips moved closer to my apex.

His hand moved over my mound before shifting down towards my wetness. I grabbed the pillow behind my head as I waited for what I knew was coming.

When his tongue first touched my skin, my entire body relaxed, happy to get what it wanted. He pushed my thigh down as his tongue darted against my sensitive womanhood. When his lips closed over my nub, I moaned.

His eyes looked up and met mine as he tasted me. His tongue dove deep into my wetness, then flicked over my clit. My body trembled and shook.

As his tongue moved faster, he slid his finger into me. His other hand held my hip as I rocked against his face. I couldn’t believe what was happening, so I reminded myself of our agreement–no thinking.

“I’m close,” I cried.

My breath caught and I arched my back as he sucked my clit. Chills ran up my back and I took a deep breath as the orgasm took over my body. He watched me as the waves spread over me each time he thrust his finger deeper.

“I could watch you come all night,” he said.

He undressed and we lay together naked on the couch. I wanted more and as I stroked his erection, I knew he wanted more, too.

“Are we going to?” I asked.

“No. I know you. You can say that you’re not going to think about it, but I know you’re not that kind of girl. I also don’t trust myself with you.”

“What do you mean you don’t trust yourself?”

“I don’t trust myself to not fall for you.”

I didn’t know what to say. Jagger picked up the remote again and started flipping through the channels. When he stopped, it was an old movie with Woody Allen and Diane Keaton.

“You ever see this?” he asked.

“No, what is it?”

“It’s Annie Hall. It’s one of my mother’s favorite movies. You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve seen it.”

“What’s it about?”

“I guess it’s a romantic comedy, but it’s different. You’ll like it.”

We spent the night in each other’s arms watching Annie Hall. When it was over, I started to think about him leaving and my feelings overwhelmed me.

“You said you’re leaving in two weeks. What school are you going to?”

“I’m flying out to Illinois. Let’s go to bed.”

He got up and turned off the TV then walked into the bedroom. I followed him and climbed onto the bed and back into his arms.

“One of my friends is going to school out there. What school are you going to?”

His body tensed and even though my eyes hadn’t adjusted to the dark, I thought he looked away.

“I’m…umm…going to Great Lakes.”

“Hmm…I haven’t heard of that school.”

“I’m beat. I’m going to sleep. Sweet dreams, Sierra.”

“Sweet dreams.”

Sierra

I woke just as the sun was beginning to rise. Jagger was sound asleep, but I couldn’t sleep anymore. I slipped out of bed, put on a t-shirt and panties from my suitcase, and grabbed my phone. While so many things from the night before ran through my head, the biggest one was where he was going to school.

I knew I shouldn’t think the way I was, but I wondered if we could try to make something work long distance. What I was thinking about was crazy, considering how just a few days ago I was trying to convince myself I hated him, but it was finally time to be honest with myself. I liked him. A lot.

Opening a browser, I typed in “Great Lakes Illinois” to find out more about his school. In no time, Google had a bunch of results, but every single one made my stomach twist. The first one said all I needed to know. Naval Station Great Lakes.

I yanked the pillow out from under his head. His eyes opened and he gave me a confused look.

“How could you?” I accused him.

“How could I what?”

I smacked him with the pillow. As I lifted it to whack him with it again, he grabbed it from me.

“What’s going on? What did I do?” he asked.

“How could you lie to me? You know how I feel about the military. You’re going to the Navy?!”

“I didn’t lie to you.”

“Well, you didn’t exactly tell me the truth.”

“Last night you were so soft and beautiful. Things were going so well between us, I didn’t want to ruin that.”

“I can’t believe this. I can’t do this. Not when you’re leaving in two weeks for the Navy.”
