Don’t Play with Me

Carl stepped out of the cab with his eight year old son, fast on his heels.
“I can’t wait to get upstairs so I can play this new Madden,” Little Bobby sang happily.
“You better get all the practice you can get, because once I get a hold of the controller, you know you going down,” Carl chuckled as he nudged Little Bobby.
“You can’t beat me no more daddy.”
“We’ll see,” Carl said with a broad smile on his face. As the two made it closer to the building, Carl’s smile quickly faded into an ugly frown.
“Daddy why are those men always standing in the lobby of our building every night?” Little Bobby asked innocently.
“I wish I knew,” Carl said, trying to hide the anger in his tone.
“Yo pass that shit nigga!” Knowledge hissed as he snatched the blunt from a nondescript, who stood in the lobby. “Big lip muthafucka,” he said as everybody in the lobby busted out laughing.
“Yo where that Henny at?” Shorty asked louder than he had to.
“Ain’t no more,” a soldier wearing a du-rag replied.
“It’s 20 muthafuckas in this lobby. Somebody about to run to the liquor store,” Shorty said, looking around for a victim. Over in the corner, he saw a scrawny kid leaning against the wall trying to look cool.
“Yo fam,” he called out. “It’s time for you to make that liquor run,” Shorty said, pulling out a thick stack of money. “Bring me what you can with this,” Shorty said as he handed the kid two hundred dollar bills. “And don’t be all day either,” he said, showing off for the 10 chicks who stood in the lobby with the rest off the hoodlums.
As the scrawny kid made his exit, Carl and Little Bobby was stepping through the entrance.
“Carl what’s good my dude?” Knowledge said, extending his hand to give Carl a pound.
Carl looked at Knowledge’s hand like it had some kind of virus on it. “Ain’t nothing good,” he said like he was about to bring it to Knowledge.
“Daddy, can we go up stairs now?” Little Bobby asked, as he broke down into a coughing fit from the cloud of weed smoke that hung in the air.
“Come on,” Carl growled as he grabbed Little Bobby’s hand and led him towards the elevator.
“What’s his problem?” Shorty asked openly.
“I don’t know, but he bout to get his ass whipped in a minute,” Knowledge said loud enough so Carl could hear him.
Seconds later, a well known fiend came storming in the building talking like he was in a loud club. “Let ya boy get five of them thangs. And don’t try to give me no shake likeyou niggaz did last time,” O-dog said, putting on a scene like usual. Immediately, a young runner served the fiend right there in the lobby in front of everybody.
“Come on son lets take the stairs,” Carl said with a cold edge in his voice as him and Little Bobby disappeared in the staircase.
“Come on man,” O-dog complained. “You ain’t got nothing bigger than this? Bad enough I ain’t get six for 50,” he grumbled, looking at the small bags like they had adisease on them.
“Throw that nigga an extra one so he can get the fuck up outta here,” Knowledge said as he made his way over to where the fine ladies where standing.
“Damn I’m lucky I’m not a one woman man,” Knowledge said, rubbing his hands together as he circled the women looking at each one from head to toe.
“What’s that suppose to mean?” A light skin girl with a healthy ponytail asked, batting her eyes. Before Knowledge could reply with a slick come back line, he heard the girls scream, then a loud gunshot go off. Knowledge quickly spun around with the quickness of a cat with his hammeralready drawn.
Carl came busting out of the staircase door wearing a hoody and a .357 in his hand. A young lady screaming grabbedShorty’s attention, causing him to reach for his waist.
Carl quickly sent a shot to the ceiling, freezing the young man in place. Not wanting to get hit with a .357 bullet, Shorty quickly threw his hands up in surrender as Carl slid behind him, and pressed the barrel of the tray-pound to the back of his head.
“What the fuck you doing?” Knowledge yelled as he inched forward with two hands on his 9mm that was aimed at Carl’s head.
“Take another step and you gonna have to mop this chump up off the floor,” Carl threatened with ice in his voice as he watched the chicks, and bitch ass niggaz almost kill themselves breaking for the exit. By now, every soldier in the lobby had their guns trained on the once cool cat named Carl.
“What the fuck is this shit about?” Knowledge asked, pondering on taking the headshot.
“I asked you ignorant fools nicely to stop slanging in front of this building,” Carl snarled. “People’s kids, mothers, grandmothers, even baby mother’s walk in and out of this building everyday. Why should they have to see ya’ll smoking, drinking, and standing around with ya’ll pants hanging off ya’ll asses all day?”
“Nigga fuck all that. What do you want?” Knowledge asked as if Carl was becoming an annoyance.
“Talking to you fools is useless. Now I want totalk to the man,” Carl said with authority.
“Nah, now you wilding,” Knowledge hissed. “Put that fucking gun down before I pop ya head off!” He growled as he took another step closer.
“Pop this nigga already. What you waiting for?” Shorty yelled from the chokehold.
Knowledge sighed loudly. “Yo let me use you phone,” he said to one of the goons.
“Why? Let’s just kill this chump,” the goon shot back.
“I can’t just kill him. I’ve known this mazurka since I was a lil shorty,” Knowledge huffed as he snatched thecell phone from the goon’s hand. Knowledge punched in some numbers on the phone and handed it back to the soldier. “A’ight, I just paged him. Now we just gotta wait for him to show up.”
“I missed you so much,” Coco sang like alittle schoolgirl as she and G-money sat in the jucuzzi together, getting their relax on.
“I missed you too,” G-money replied as he sippedfrom his glass of Henny, as the multiple jets massaged his body. Having Coco back in his life made G-money feel goodinside. He really loved Coco and hated to have to wonder if she was okay, or not when the two were separated.
“Pour me a cup of that. A bitch is parched over here,” Coco said playfully as she nudged G-money with her foot.
“Keep your crusty feet to yourself,” G-money said, playfully swatting her foot away as he reached forthe bottle of Henny.
Coco sucked her teeth. “Crusty?” She echoed. “Nigga please, ain’t a damn thing crusty on my body,” shesaid in a matter of fact tone.
“I know crusty when I see it,” G-money nodded and sipped some more.
“That’s your word?” Coco said with a wisp of a smile. Her naked body was dripping wet as she slowly walked over to the corner where G-money sat. “Is this crusty too?” She asked, placing her left leg on the outside rim of the jucuzzi, leaving her freshly waxed pussy in G-money’s face.
G-money cleared his throat as he sat face to face with Coco’s juicy pussy. “Can I help you?” He asked as he sat his glass down next to his .45 that rested within arm’s reach.
“I don’t know, can you?” Coco said as one of her eyebrows rose.
Not being the type to back down from a challenge, G-money immediately burried his head between Coco’s legs; licking and sucking all of her juices away, forcing her to cum quicker than she wanted to.
“Damn!” Coco moaned and cursed as she grabbed his head, and begged him not to stop. Two minutes later, Coco’s body tensed as she began to climax for him yet again.
“Stand your ass up,” Coco demanded as she held Gmoney’s rock hard dick with two hands and gingerly licked, sucked, and tongue kissed his dick. She made sure she slurped all the water off of his dick before she opened hermouth as wide as she could. She was only able to take in half of his dick, before letting it slide back out the side of her mouth; making a loud slopping sound. For the next 10 minutes, Cocosucked the shit out of G-money’s dick; the whole time, making loud slurping noises until he finally exploded in her mouth.
“I see I still got the title,” Coco boasted as she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.
“You know you the champ bae,” G-money said out of breath, as he reached for his beeper that was vibrating uncontrollably. “What the fuck?” He said out loud as he looked at his beeper with a weird look on his face.
“What’s wrong babe?” Coco asked with a look of concern.
“Somebody just beeped me with my old building number.”
“The building in the projects?” Coco asked.
“Yeah…it must be Knowledge, cause I know Pauleena wouldn’t be up in the projects,” G-money said out loud as he got up and stepped out of the Jacuzzi butt naked.
“So I guess we ain’t going out to eat then, huh?” Coco asked innocently.
“Yeah we still going. I’mma just swing by the projects real quick to see what’s good,” he told her as he started getting dress. When G-money and Coco made it downstairs, they saw the four men, who was supposed to protecting them, gathered around the flat screen T.V. playing Madden.
“Fuck is ya’ll niggaz doing?” G-money barked, causing the four men to jump; one of them even pulled out his ratchet.
“My bad. I was just busting this clown ass in Madden,” Eraser Head spoke up. He got the name because he had a square head and a skinny face, which made him look like an eraser.
“Strap up! We gotta go swing by the projects real quick,” G-money said, looking down at his beeper, which was now vibrating again.
G-money and Coco slid in the back of the Yukon, while Eraser Head occupied the passenger seat, and another goon made the Yukon come to life with a turn of the key.The other two goons hopped in an all black Honda and tailed the Yukon, as the two pulled out into the street.
Jimmy sat a block away in a station wagon, puffing on a cigarette, looking like his nerves were shot. “That ass is mines as soon as you come back,” he whispered as he flicked the cigarette butt out the window. Jimmy sat back and watched the white van full of Jamaicans pull out right after the Yukon and Honda pulled off. “Fucking amateurs,” he hissed ashe sat and continued to wait patiently for his victim to return.
“Why the fuck are we going to the projects anyway?” Eraser Head asked.
“Something is up,” G-money answered calmly.
“Knowledge paged me “911” three times already.”
“I hope everything is alright,” Coco added. “Especially, with the heat that’s on ya’ll.”
“Man fuck the police,” G-money said with conviction. “I don’t touch no drugs and I don’t carry a gun on me no more. So if them mufuckas wanna follow me around all fucking day, then by all means, let ‘em.”
“I think you starting to cool off though, cause I haven’t seen an unmarked car on us in a few days,” Eraser Head said.
“Yeah them boys been quiet lately, but you knowthat’s how they do. They want us to think shit is all good, hoping we slip up. And as soon as we do, they gonna be rightthere waiting for us,” G-money said as the Yukon pulled up to the curb in front of the projects. Just by looking out the window, G-money could see about 15 to 20 people standing in the lobby. “Yo, you got an extra strap on you?”
“You know I do,” Eraser Head answered quickly.
“Let me get that thang,” G-money said, reaching his arm over Eraser Head’s shoulder.
Without thinking twice, Eraser Head slid G-money a pearl handled .380.
“A’ight bae, wait right here. I’ll be right back,”G-money said as he kissed Coco on the cheek. “You too,” he said, turning to face the driver. “Keep this motherfucker running,” he ordered as him and Eraser Head made their way to the building. As Gmoney got closer to the building, he made out a man with a hoody, holding a gun to somebody’s head. “I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m only talking for 10 minutes. If shit ain’t settled by then, take the shot,” G-money said in a calm tone as the two entered the building.
“Fuck going on up in here?” G-money asked, realizing the man who held the .357 was his long time friend,Carl.
“I been asking your partner over here for a fewweeks now to move from in front of this building, slanging poision.”
“This nigga lying!” Knowledge cut in.
G-money quickly hushed him. “Talk to me Carl. Why did you call me down here? Time is money, and I don’t have neither to waste.”
“I want you to get these dudes away from my building,” Carl demanded.
G-money eyed him suspiciously. “So that’s what you called me down here for?” He asked, not giving Carl a chance to answer. “Listen I’m a busy man. Do I come down to your job telling you how to handle your business?” He askedsounding irritated.
Carl managed to muster a grin. “When you was coming up, I raised you like you was my little brother; now this how you talk to me?”
“You ain’t been the same ever since you got outof jail. It’s like that shit made you get soft.”
“You think I’m soft now?” Carl asked, digging the nose of the .357 even further into the back of Shorty’s head.
“You remember the law of the streets right?” G-money raised an eyebrow. “You only pull that strap if you gon use it.”
Carl took his time responding. “Trust me, I know what time it is,” he beamed. “You have a gift and you using it for evil. All of these young men out here look up to you. They’ll do anything you say. But instead of using that power to help uplift brothers, you got them out here selling drugs for you and killing each other.”
“And you had the same gift back in the day, and what did you do with it? Not a motherfucking thing,” G-money said, answering his own question.
“G, I’m here so you can learn from my mistakes.Plus, it’s not like you pressed for cash,” Carl said, nodding towards the diamond bracelet on G-money’s wrist. “What I’m trying to say is, if you want to throw your life away cool; but don’ttake all these brothers down with you.”
“Listen Carl, please put the gun down. It’s not necessary. We can talk like two men,” G-money tried to reason in a mellow tone.
“Promise you’ll move your men out of this building and all this shit will be over.”
“This shit ain’t never going to be over,” Knowledgegrowled from the sideline. Carl gave Knowledge a cold stare, and then turned his focus back on G-money. “Promise me that and we have no more problems. I don’t want my son coming home from school to see ya’ll in here smoking weed, and selling drugs. We all need to come together and….”
Before Carl could finish what he was saying, Eraser Head had pulled out his .38 and popped Carl in the shoulder. The impact from the shot caused Carl to drop his gun ashe hit the lobby floor.
Carl desperately tried to reach for the .357, but within a blink of an eye, Shorty, Knowledge, and the rest ofthe crew was stomping the shit out of him.
“Move out the way so I can body this stupid nigga!” Shorty yelled as he picked up the .357 from off the floor.
“Nah hold that down,” G-money said walking over to where Carl laid, clutching his wounded shoulder. “If any of my soldiers catch you in this project again, you die; simple as that. Do we have an understanding?”
