It had never been done before. For the very first time the team wanted to have their banquet on the practice field, in celebration of what could have been. On the day of the banquet parents pitched in, setting up tables on the field, helping organize the catered food, and lining up all the players' trophies on a table for all to see. Even though the team didn't make the play-offs, they thought this day was very special. It was a day to celebrate life.

Mr. Tall was there, along with Lois, and they were relieved that the nightmare in the community had come to an end. Calvin had finally been able to catch up with Shonda's friend Sherri and had invited her as his date. Shonda and Coach were enjoying themselves too, as
this
chapter in their lives had ended on very good terms.
