The
still-naked beauty looked over to her sexual pawn and then looked back up at
the ship.  She was done running; done playing a part that was never meant for
her in the first place.

“Him,”
she pointed to Senator Wilson.  “He will take my place.”

George
thrashed under the ropes binding his wrists, “No, no!  You can’t-“

Alice
turned to him with a seething look of contempt.  When she spoke, she had to
yell over the alien ship’s roaring engines.

“I can,
George.  You have fucked me for the last time!”

Her
shortened hair whipped around her face, along with a flurry of fallen leaves. 
From above, the powerful, white beam that took her once before fixed its self
over the protesting Senator.  Then, in a flash that knocked Alice back onto her
naked ass, George and the ship were gone.

All that
was left behind was a piece of frayed, swinging rope.

Alice
stood up, turned around and sank back down onto her knees.  She whispered to
the sky above her, “Thank you, Captain.”

For the
first time in three years, she felt true release.  Justice had been served and,
after everything that she had endured, the taste was sweeter than all the candy
on Earth.  There was no more pain, no more wondering.

She was
free.
