“Oh, Christ, yes.”

His mouth still buried in her crotch, David brought
his hand up and slipped two of his fingers into her swollen pussy.
He continued sucking her clit as he thrust his fingers in and out
of her, and within seconds the spasms began to rock her from the
core. She felt the pleasure building like a white nova behind her
eyes, and a moment later her pussy writhed in ecstasy as a huge
orgasm rocked through her.

“Hmmm,” she purred. “That was yummy.”

David released her slowly, steadying her as the
spasms eased and her body relaxed. She untangled her hands from his
hair, and stroked his neck as he climbed up the bed to take a spot
beside her.

“It was yummy for me too,” he told her. “You’re a
sweet little mouthful, Rachel Thompson. I could wrap you up and
take you home with me.”

“Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” she said. She
knew they were both getting way ahead of themselves, but she
couldn’t help it. She felt a real connection to this guy, and she
was so thankful that Andy Hubbard got called away on business. She
couldn’t imagine that he would have been this nice, this in sync
with her, sexually and otherwise.

“Now I want to return the favor,” she said. David
wasn’t an overly hairy guy, but he did have a nice mat of brown
hair on his chest, and she tangled her fingers in it before moving
them down to his hard ab muscles, then lower still.

“You’re a naughty little girl,” he said, as the
fingers of her right hand wrapped around his stiffening cock.

“You don’t know the half of it.” Sweeping her long
hair over her shoulder, she bent her head down to where her hand
was. David’s cock was fully erect now, the swollen head throbbing
between her fingers. She opened her mouth and wrapped her lips
around it, taking in first the head, then the entire shaft. She
heard him groan as she pulled back and ran her tongue down one
side, then the other.

She felt his fingers in her hair, then on her
shoulders. She took his cock back into her mouth and eased it all
the way in, then out and in again, the strokes even and urgent. His
breathing became ragged as he tensed beneath her. She felt his
pleasure building toward climax, but just before he peaked he
lifted her head and pulled her up beside him.

“But I want to,” she said.

“I want this moment to last,” he told her. “And I
want to be inside you when I come the first time. Our first
time.”

“I want that too.”

“What about...” There was an awkward note in his
voice, and he seemed uncomfortable with her for the first time. “I
wasn’t planning ahead, and I didn’t bring anything. But I could try
and find a convenience store.”

“It’s okay,” she said. “I’m on the pill. I take them
for the estrogen.”

He relaxed. He moved his fingers into her hair, and
tilted her head back against the pillow. Leaning in, he kissed her
hard, slipping his tongue in and inviting her to participate.
Rachel sighed and responded in kind. A hot shiver coursed through
her. She was still wet from their foreplay, and more than eager for
David to get on with the business of making love to her.

As if reading her mind, he shifted his weight and
used his knees to nudge her legs apart. Her pussy ached for him,
and she stiffened as she felt the head of his cock probing her soft
opening.
Do it
! And with a single hard thrust he did,
ramming his thick cock all the way into her.

Oh sweet Jesus
. She pulled back and lifted her
legs to offer him better penetration. Moaning into her ear, David
was consumed with lust as he rammed his cock into her, again and
again, as if his entire body was a single, pulsing muscle. Rachel
bit her lip and tried not to scream. The entire bed shook as they
fucked, the headboard smacking the wall with a
slap-slap-slap
staccato rhythm.

“Oh yes!” she cried, encouraging him.
“Deeper...harder.”

He complied as he thrust into her with more urgency.
Her organism was building like a white star behind her eyes, and
her swollen clit ached with pleasure at his every thrust. Her
fingers dug into his back. She wrapped her legs around him,
enveloping her wild stallion as he bucked and groaned on top of
her.

Then suddenly she came, her back arching and her
teeth biting into his shoulder to stifle her scream. David moaned
and spoke her name as he approached the edge, his breaths coming in
labored rasps now. Then his body went rigid as he came inside her,
and she wrapped her arms around him and held him tight until his
spasms abated. Sweating, panting, his body finally went lax and he
rolled over beside her on the bed.

Rachel lay there, wondering about the strangeness of
life and the way things worked out sometimes. The circumstances
that had brought them together like the alignment of planets in the
solar system. At the height of their lovemaking she’d seen
something in David’s eyes--a tenderness behind the passion, a well
of understanding and emotion that told her that the magic she was
feeling, he was feeling too.

CHAPTER FOUR

Sometime later, they were sitting side-by-side in
bed, the covers pulled up to their waists. David had gone back to
the BMW for another round of drinks, and some rye crackers he had
stashed in the glove box.

"Did you have dinner?" he asked. "I probably
should've asked you that earlier. If you’re hungry for some real
food, we could try to find a restaurant in town."

"I had a chef’s salad at the diner," she said. "But
this is a great after-dinner snack. Except for the crumbs."

He laughed. It was a muffled, throaty laugh that made
her tingle inside. After a short pause she turned to him and said,
“I hope you don’t think I do this...that I make a habit of this
sort of thing.”

“You mean eating crackers in bed?”

She giggled and squeezed his arm. “No, silly, I mean
the sex part. With you. I mean we hardly know each other.”

“I don’t suppose you do,” he said, turning serious.
“I think the circumstances had a lot to do with it. Being stuck in
this shitty little town, not knowing anybody, and having the rug
pulled out from under you at the last minute by our mutual
friend.”

“You’re not giving yourself any credit, David Ramsey.
You’re an incredibly sweet and sexy guy.” She squeezed his arm
again. “And of course the vodka didn’t hurt, either.”

They both laughed this time. David raised his drink,
and they touched their glasses in a toast.

Rachel asked, “So how come you didn’t recognize me?
Didn’t you see my photo in my R&A profile?”

David shook his head. “This whole thing came up at
the last minute, literally. I was on my way home from work when I
got the call from Andy. I didn’t have a chance to go online and
look at your profile or anything. But I trust Andy’s judgement in
women, and he promised me that I wouldn’t be disappointed.” He gave
her thigh a playful nudge. “And I haven’t been.”

“Me neither.”

“That’s good to hear.”

There was a pause. Outside, someone shouted a
profanity across the parking lot, followed by a booming laugh.

“I also wanted to let you know that I didn't sign up
with R&A just to meet a rich guy,” Rachel said finally. “That
may seem hard to believe, and don’t get me wrong, I like money as
much as the next girl. But I'm looking for something a little more
substantial than that. I figured a service that charges the kind of
money R&A does would attract men who were more...serious about
things."

“That’s good to hear. Because I’m not sure I qualify
as being ‘rich’ as it’s defined these days. I mean I make a very
comfortable living from my printing business, a very comfortable
living. But I’m not a millionaire, I don’t have a private jet or a
hundred-foot yacht or anything.”

“I don’t either,” she said with a smile. “So I guess
we’re even.”

“So what about you? Andy told me you were some sort
of accountant, but he wasn’t much more specific than that."

"I’m a tax accountant, yes. But at the moment I’m
sort of between jobs. I got caught up in one of those corporate
downsizing things you hear about on the news.”

“Well that sucks,” David said in a serious voice.
“But I suppose in this economy just about everyone’s at risk for
that. In fact, one of my neighbors just had the same thing happen
to her. Apparently her firm decided to lay off anyone who was in a
‘nonessential position,’ whatever the hell that means."

“It means they’re trying to save money,” she said,
“and your salary doesn’t look good on their balance sheet.
Especially if your in a middle management position. At least in my
case I got a pretty generous severance package. Enough that I don’t
have to work for the next six months if I don’t want to.”

“Do you want to?”

“I haven’t decided,” she admitted. “That’s one of the
reasons I’m up here this weekend. I’m sort of exploring all my
options at this point.”

“A little self-discovery might be a good idea,
especially if you can afford to take some time off and take stock
of things. What part of the country are you from again?”

"Dallas," she said.

"Got family there?"

She shook her head. "My folks live back in Florida,
in one of those retirement communities. My brother and his wife
live up in Oregon. So no, I guess I don't have anything tying me
the Dallas."

There was another lengthy pause as they both sat and
finished off their crackers. Finally David brushed the crumbs off
his chest and said, "Let me think about it. I have some business
connections in Denver, and I might be able to dig up some leads for
you. In fact, my firm could probably use a good tax
accountant."

"Thanks for the offer," she said, "but I’m not sure
that’s a good idea. Mixing business and pleasure and all that.
Besides, you haven’t even seen my work, and we hardly know each
other.”

“I’m sure your work is fantastic, Rachel,” he assured
her. “But you’re probably right, we shouldn’t get ahead of
ourselves. And the offer stands no matter what happens between
us.”

“That’s nice to know, thank you.” She lifted his arm
and snuggled in beside him. She enjoyed this sort of pillow talk,
and it was a rare thing in her experience. Just like the male
cliche, most of the men she’d had sex with in the past seemed to
fall asleep just minutes after getting their rocks off.

“So what do you like to do?” she asked, tracing her
fingers across his chest. “Do you have any hobbies or
anything?”

“I like to get outdoors and try out some of the gear
that I sell in my stores. It’s sort of a side benefit of being in
the sporting goods business.”

“That sounds like fun.”

“It’s fun, and it’s also therapeutic. There’s nothing
quite like being out in nature, no matter what the season. I can
only spend so much time in the city before I have to pack up the
car and get out of there.”

“I feel that way too sometimes. Like the traffic and
noise and congestion of the city is creeping into my bones.”

“So what about you?” he asked. “What do you do for
fun?”

She paused a moment, thinking. “I don’t have anything
I’m passionate about. I do like photography, and got a really nice
digital SLR last Christmas. I haven’t used it as much as I’d like
to.”

“Photography’s a great hobby. I’ve taken some pretty
good nature shots myself up in the back country. Maybe with your
severance coming in you’ll have more time to pursue it.”

“Maybe. Although whenever I’m stressed about my job
situation I have a hard time focusing on anything else. That’s why
it’s so nice to be here with you. I can sorta get lost in the
moment.”

“I’m glad you feel that way, Rachel. I can’t give the
Rich & Amorous service an honest review since I’m not even
officially a member. But I’m sure glad Andy asked me to fill in for
him...”

Rachel sighed and adjusted her head on his chest. She
couldn't remember ever feeling so relaxed with a man she hardly
knew. Especially after having blazing hot sex with him. In fact a
lot of times with a new lover she just wanted it to be over, and
she would find herself scheming for a way to get rid of the guy.
But not tonight, not with David.

And she wasn’t quite done with him yet.

Slipping her hand beneath the sheets, she used her
fingernails to trace a line down his taut stomach toward his
crotch. He had an athletic, muscular body that seemed to lack an
ounce of fat, the kind of body that no-doubt spent a lot of time in
the gym. And his stomach wasn’t the only thing that was rock-hard,
she discovered as she wrapped her fingers around the base of his
stiffening cock.

She kept her hand there a while. As she lightly
caressed the base of his shaft, she heard him groan in
appreciation.

"I’d tell you to stop," he said. "But I would'nt mean
it."

"I’m sure you wouldn't," she said, teasing. "But I'll
stop if you have a better plan in mind."

“I think maybe I do.”

“Hmmm, sounds interesting. Am I a part of this
plan.”
