“
So set E up and then say it was Capo, to eliminate them both.”
She nodded and pointed at him as if to say, ‘bingo!’
Ree put his drink down on the bar and took a step toward her.
“
You know I should kill you, right?” The intensity of his words shook and excited her. “That was my dude’s right hand,” Ree reminded her with a somber look.
Jayde swallowed hard, briefly frightened by the potential she knew that Ree had, but then her regular swagger returned.
“
You should…maybe. But I know you won’t.”
Ree raised an eyebrow and rubbed his goatee, anticipating her analysis as Jayde stepped closer.
“
For one,” she reasoned. “You know I was right. Regardless of who he was, he was apart of my team, and he broke the code of the game…just like Chris did.”
She could tell by Ree’s tenseness in his face that she may have crossed a boundary mentioning what she knew about the Chris situation.
“
And two,” she continued, wanting to put the mood back at ease. “You wouldn’t…because…” But she didn’t say it out loud, she just stepped closer to him, close enough to where she could smell the faint and tantalizing scent of him, and then she whispered something softly into his ear.
That something, caused Ree to reconsider and Jayde knew she had sealed the deal.
As she pulled away, and Ree stared straight ahead in deliberation, her heart pounded, and not because she was afraid of what he would do. She was like a bitch in heat for Ree, only moments away from howling and jumping all over him.
“
You think about it,” she said, forcing herself to reluctantly turn and head for the steps.
Ree began to soak up the conversation, especially the end of it, as he heard her make her way up the stairs. Moments later, he heard footsteps return and he wondered if it was Jayde.
“
Hey you.”
It wasn’t. It was his queen.
Tatum smiled lightly and walked over to him.
“
I was wondering when you were gonna come back upstairs, we’re about to eat.”
He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close.
“
I was just down here having a drink.”
“
And talking to Jayde?” Tatum tried to hide her discomfort.
“
Yeah,
Jayde
,” Ree repeated as if Jayde were a joke. “She was doing most of the talking, though.”
Tatum wrapped her arms around his neck and looked at him sassily.
“
About whattt?” She questioned and Ree chuckled at her jealousy.
“
About some business proposals.”
Tatum knew what kind of business Jayde was into and she didn’t want Ree back in any of that business. Before she could say anything else, Ree kissed her tenderly on her mouth and then pulled away and used the tip of his tongue to trace her lips, causing her pussy lips to quiver.
He put his mouth to her ear and whispered deeply.
“
You’re the most beautiful woman in the world.”
And then kissed her earlobe and made a trail of kisses down her neck.
“
Ree,” she panted in bliss, as her head fell back in ecstasy.
In one swift motion, he picked Tatum up strongly and sat her on the barstool and then he slid one leg out of her velor sweatpants.
“
Ree…,” she whined. “What if someone comes?”
“
Well, let’s just make sure we come first,” he joked, pushing her panties to the side and steadily gliding all of him deep into her.
“
Oh!” Tatum had to cry out. It felt so good.
She grabbed tight onto him, holding his dreads, and he began to move swiftly in and out of her.
“
Oh god,” she moaned. “Oh yes! Oh, I love you!”
He held her ass while the little barstool rocked back and forth in mercy, and Ree continued to hit her with a vicious stroke.
“
Shit,” he grunted, feeling his dick twitch.
They continued to go at it heavily, completely insatiable for one another.
Unbeknownst to them, Jayde stood at the top of the steps, her fingers inside of her jeans rubbing vigorously on her clit.
Just the sounds of the two beautiful people getting off were bringing her to orgasm.
“
Oh!” She heard Tatum scream again. “Oh, Ree I love you…I love you!”
And Jayde rubbed faster imagining how good it must be.
They kept going, and she kept going, and finally they all reached their peaks at the same time.
Jayde hoped that it wouldn’t be long until she had the real thing.
After the episode, Ree and Tatum got themselves together, and rejoined everyone else upstairs for dinner as if nothing had gone down.
Jayde chattered as if everything was normal, and she even had a warm glow on her face.
Sasha and Chauncey were in their own little world, and very affectionate. To everyone, it was clear that she was giving him another chance. Aubrey sat picking at her food and when the topic turned to the recent events that they had all just gone through, Sasha couldn’t help but say…
“
My baby is really a little soldier, despite those crazy ass folks, she really pulled through.” She stroked Aubrey’s pretty hair, thinking of Mike, and Tatum smiled.
“
Well, god looks out for his little angels,” she added.
Just then, Aubrey looked up at the table and giggled.
“
Kim,” she said clearly. Everyone was shocked and silent. “Kim give me kiss and hug and told me wake up.”
The statements gave a warm and peculiar feeling as Tatum and Sasha both had tears in their eyes. It took a few minutes for everyone to get over the astonishment of what Aubrey had said.
Everyone else tried to shake it but the girls knew in their hearts there was truth to the revelation, and it was sentimental to them.
Everything was festive not too long after, the mood was just right and then Chauncey remembered something.
“
Aw shit, I forgot to tell you…congratulations. Mr. and Mrs. Knights, huh?” He joked.
Ree smirked and Tatum thanked him laughing.
“
I just feel so bad,” Sasha started with her lip poked out. “All of this bad stuff happening, you guys didn’t even have your moment.”
Ree waved his hand in dismissal.
“
It’s fine, Sasha.” He looked at Tatum and continued. “It’s not about that, you know? It’s about me…and this gorgeous girl right here, spending our lives together. Plus, we already had our moment.” And then he winked at Tatum.
She smiled wide, thinking of their episode that had just occurred and Sasha looked on in admiration. She was so happy for them.
“
So, when are you guys going back to Jamaica?” She added, a tinge of sadness if her voice.
Everyone looked at them for the answer.
Ree glanced around the table at the waiting faces, including Tatum’s and then his gaze fell briefly on Jayde. He thought of what she had mentioned to him, and he considered all of the opportunities. Yes, he was out and he was at peace, but he knew the magnitude of what was possible, for everyone. It wouldn’t take long at all, and it was the one master plan, that hustler's final score that he had always wanted to put into motion before he left the game for good. Mickel had invented it, Ree had perfected it, and Jayde and Chauncey, seemed to be putting it into gear.
Ree still had some thinking to do, because he knew that his life was in Jamaica, and he also knew that he couldn't think just for himself...but he had a good idea where he would be doing his thinking at.
He ran his hand over his mouth before speaking and he looked at Tatum affectionately. He knew she would enjoy being around Sasha more. He also knew he'd have to lay low, but that was nothing new to him, so he proceeded with the well anticipated response...
“
I think,” he answered, choosing his words wisely. “I think we may… stick around for a little while.”
And everyone smiled, glad to hear it. Everyone… especially Jayde.
A Few Minutes Later…
“
Hello.”
“
Hey Sasha, it’s your mother.”
“
Nooo…really?” Sasha shot back sarcastically. Her mother’s silence let Sasha know the seriousness of her call. “Ma? What’s going on?”
“
I have to talk to you, are you busy?”
“
We’re having dinner. What’s it about?” Sasha asked nervously.
“
It’s about Mickel.”
“
Who?” Sasha asked, confused.
“
Mickel Dupree. Jayde’s father.”
