Pickle and Karen managed a smile, and Vince added, with a confused look on his face, "Did I tell you my Alzheimer's joke?"

"Just move this vehicle, for God's sake," chuckled Pickle. "Before I give yer a slap."

The truck pulled away and Karen peered out of the back to see her street sign disappear. Although she was going to be staying just a quarter of a mile away, she was positive that it was going to be a while before she saw her street and her old house again.

"Okay?" Pickle squeezed her hand.

"Yeah." Karen nodded with a thin smile, and squeezed him back. "For now."
