"I drank too much and didn't know what I was doing. It's a horrible excuse and I would never intentionally hurt you this way. Never. I would never plan to do something like this. Things got out of control," I reply, my voice finally back to normal levels.

"I don't know what to say to you." He shakes his head and looks at the floor.

"I'm so sorry, Erik. I…" I trail off, not knowing what else to say to him.

"Goodnight, Olivia." Turning, Erik leaves my apartment, slamming the door behind him.
