Journey

R
esting on my back, I stare at the spot
of light reflected on the ceiling. My relaxed mind enjoys the quiet. Donovan’s
house radiates serenity, feeling a world away from everything.

I close my eyes and smile at the way
the flesh clenches between my legs. Little waves of pleasure linger in my gut.

The bed shifts and I think to open my
eyes. Instead, I imagine Donovan climbing out of bed and doing what? Unable to
picture his destination, I open my eyes just a crack and find him leaning over
to kiss me.

“You’re quiet,” he whispers.

“You are too.”

“I feel fucking great.”

Smiling, my lips part against his. The
kiss sends heat through my body, making a beeline for the spot between my legs.
I’m unsure if I want him inside me again. While my body says yes, I’m a
pragmatic woman. If I spread for him again, will I be able to walk without a
limp in the morning?

My lips leave his before I roll off the
mattress. “I’m not pulling a move to make you chase me. I just don’t like the
idea of sharing the bed with someone.”

Donovan sits up, and I notice the sheet
slide down enough to reveal a hint of dark hair just above his cock. My gaze
instantly locks onto the sight.

“It’s not personal, but I don’t want to
stay,” I mumble, unable to look away.

“I don’t want to share a bed either,”
he says, reaching for my hand. “I like my space, but I don’t want you to
leave.”

“I could sleep on the couch.”

We smile since my suggestion is stupid.

Donovan slides out of bed, revealing
the cock I’m entranced by. “I don’t want you to leave.”

“It’s not all about you.”

“It’s fifty percent about me.”

“That number seems high.”

Rolling his eyes, he wraps his powerful
arms around me and lowers us back into bed.

“I don’t want to cuddle.”

“Me neither.”

“Then why are you holding me?”

“So you won’t leave. Wait, did you
think this was cuddling? No, this is a control tactic.”

“Adorable. Let go.”

“You know what terrifies me?” he
whispers into my ear.

“Being ground into cat food?”

“Spooning,” he says, kissing my neck.
“I once considered staying at a woman’s house overnight because I had a nasty
headache. What was the worst thing that could happen, right? I mean she knew
where we stood. I knew it too. Then she wanted me to keep her warm and tried to
spoon with me. My headache disappeared underneath a wave of absolute fear. I
was out of the house a minute later. Didn’t even put on my shoes before I made
a run for it.”

“That’s a mighty heartwarming story.
Now let me tell you about the time I humped a guy’s leg at a party.”

Donovan smiles and kisses my forehead.
“My point wasn’t to remind you how I wasn’t a virgin. I want you to know I
won’t cuddle with you. I won’t want to spoon. I probably won’t talk to you at
all.”

“Then why should I stay?”

“Because I like knowing you’re close. I
like looking at you and knowing someone so beautiful exists in this otherwise
boring fucking world.”

Wiggling free, I smile because his
words are damn sweet. Not so romantic that they tickle my gag reflex, but
enough to let me know I matter to him.

“So I would just sleep on my side, and
you would sleep on yours?” I ask.

“Yep. We could even put a pillow in
between us.”

“That’s not how people… Couples, I
mean, that’s not how they sleep together.”

“You are not people. We do what we
want.”

“You don’t. You follow the line.”

“I did. Then I met you, and the line
wasn’t enough. Do you think I was following it when I pulled you over to ask
for a date? Or when I handcuffed you to keep you here? No, I do what I want
these days. Journey Sheerer taught me that.”

“She sounds fantastic. You should
listen to her always.”

Donovan nudges open my legs and slides
a finger between my slit. “I’ll try, but she’s very sarcastic and lies a lot.
Everything she says, I take with a grain of salt.”

“I thought you wanted me to spend the
night. Where’s the ass-kissing?” I groan as his finger disappears inside me.

“I don’t want to lie to you. I figured
you didn’t want me to fake anything.”

“Well, no, but my ego wouldn’t mind a
little coddling.”

“In that case, have I mentioned how
beautiful you look when you come during our lovemaking?”

“Lovemaking sounds real romantic,” I
murmur while lifting my hips to take more of his fingers. “I still don’t know
if I ought to stay the night. I’m a woman with impressive personal space
requirements.”

“Oh, really?” he teases, removing his
fingers and sucking them clean.

Donovan climbs out of bed and walks
from the room. As he goes, I admire how his ass muscles flex. Waiting for him
to return, I’m certain the view will be just as spectacular.

I still want to go home where I feel like
me. My bed belongs to me. My sisters know how to make me smile. My pets know
how to annoy me. Likely, Otto will worry about me. My mother might too. My
brain insists I leave while my aroused body only aches to be full of him again.

Returning to the room, Donovan carries
a pillow under his arm. I gape at the amazing view of his hard stomach and
nether regions.

“A buffer to keep me in my place,” he
says, tossing it on the bed before climbing over me. “Are we going to be
awkward with each other now?”

“I think that makes the most sense. I
have no experience in the after hump procedure.”

“You didn’t have any experience with
the actual humping either, yet neither of us complained.”

“I know, but I like my bed.”

“You’ll survive,” he says, tugging down
the sheet again so he can explore my body. “I don’t know if I can say the same
if you leave.”

“Why are you so needy?”

“Mama didn’t raise me right. Papa
didn’t love me. I’ve only loved cold hearted women, and now I’ve found you.
Please, don’t do go, baby.”

“Even hating country music, I admit
you’re undeniably sexy when you talk like that,” I murmur as he nips at the
flesh around my nipple.

“Sexy enough to give me the win and
stay over tonight?”

“Okay, but we’re not having breakfast
together. That’s just too much romance in a twenty-four-hour period.”

“You say that now,” he says, spreading
my legs and sliding his hard dick along my slick opening, “but you’ll find
nothing romantic about my morning demeanor. I’m a real bitch when I first get
up.”

“Oh, boy, another fabulous reason to
stick around.”

Donovan fills me with a deep thrust,
essentially pinning me to the bed. “You’re not going anywhere, darling.”

“Don’t make this a challenge, buddy.
You won’t like the results.”

Ignoring my threat, Donovan begins to
move inside me. Every thrust erases any thoughts of my own bed in my own house.
I can only think of the difference of his hand on my clit versus mine. Or how
he sucks at my nipples compared to how I tug at them. Mostly I know nothing at
my house can compare to the feel of his coming hard inside me, claiming me with
every drop of his seed.

Journey

T
he next morning, Donovan is true to his
word about having a grumpy breakfast routine. I’m not much better when I tell
him that my pussy is tired, and I’ll see him later. I nearly run out of the
front door, and he does nothing to stop me from racing away.

Once home, I pray for a quick escape to
my room. Nothing in my experiences with my family says they won’t expect a
detailed description of my first time. The entire group turns to me the moment
I step into the house. My sisters open their mouths simultaneously ready to
start shit. Christine snaps at them and then points at the impressionable
children sitting on the floor.

“If you haven’t enjoyed a visit from Aunt
Hag, get out,” Poppy says, hurrying to me. “Do you need to lie down? You look
drained of liquid. Did he fuck you dry?”

“You’re gross.”

“I’m not hearing a no,” she says,
giving me an exaggerated wink.

Court stands up and corrals the kids
toward the back door. “Let’s go outside.”

“Nature is boring,” Felix says,
sounding too much like Poppy.

“Fine, let’s go to our house and watch
TV.”

While his siblings shuffle out the
back, Otto gives me a death stare. He’s no doubt disappointed to learn his idol
is a hussy. He might not understand what I was doing all night, but he knows
it’s too much like his mother’s behavior. He apparently feels I should know
better. No doubt he’ll give me a talking to later. I’ll then remind him of our
age differences and how he can save his lecture.

Once the kids are gone, Poppy brings me
a Gatorade to help me replenish my liquids. I sit on the couch and prepare for
their questions.

“Are you pregnant yet?” Poppy asks.

“Yes.”

Justice leans in closer. “Does he have
a bigger man piece than Court?”

“Yes.”

“Did you have a nice time?” Christine
helpfully asks as if she wasn’t the one who raised us to be these mouthy
monsters.

“Yes.”

“Did you choke on anything?” Poppy
asks.

“Yes.”

Justice scoots even closer. “Did you
fart during sex?”

“Yes.”

“Did he cry afterward? Did you hold him
during the sobs?” Poppy asks.

“Yes and no.”

“You’re a cold wench, aren’t you?”

Grinning, I shrug. “I’m not the cuddly
sort. If he needs a hug, he needs to date someone else.”

“Is he done with you now, or did you
beg your way into another date?” Poppy asks.

“Yes and yes. I’m pathetic.”

“Are you in pain? Do you need an
icepack?”

“Yes and no.”

“How about peroxide?” Justice asks,
nearly in my lap at this point. “Or will you walk off the pain?”

“Peroxide couldn’t hurt. Anything
else?”

Poppy shoves Justice aside so she can
get closer. “When will you bring Donovan here again to allow us to interrogate
him in this fashion?”

“Depends on how soon I can get my hands
on a roofie. I don’t see him willingly returning.”

“Stuck-up men are the worst,” Justice
grunts.

Christine kisses my head. “I’m glad you
had fun.”

“Did you make a lot of noise during
sex?” Poppy asks, climbing onto the couch. “Did you have many orgasms?”

“Yes and yes.”

“Did he make a lot of noises?”

“No, he was completely silent. It was
weird.”

“Should I cut my hair?” Poppy asks,
bored of sex talk. “My neck is hot a lot.”

“Yes, but not as short as Justice’s
hair. No one can pull off that haircut.”

“Hey,” Justice whines, sitting on the
other side of me. Suddenly uninterested in complaining, she asks, “Do you love
Donovan now?”

“I don’t know.”

“I fell in love with Court the moment I
first saw him.”

“I know that’s not true. In fact, you
repeatedly told me that it’s not true.”

“I know, but I didn’t think you were
listening. You had the same look on your face as when Mom is talking.”

Christine narrows her eyes at us. “I
often wish I had boys.”

“Yeah, that’d have gone well,” Poppy
says and then does her version of Christine’s voice. “Now, boys, get off the
roof and please stop peeing in my garden. No? Well, I tried.”

“Just for that, you’re grounded for a
week.”

“Okay. Can I spend my free time
following you around the house?”

Christine takes the threat as intended
and walks away. Poppy smiles at our fleeing mother and then back at me.

“I’m proud of you for having sex. I
thought you’d die an old maid.”

“I want kids.”

“Two words,” she says, patting my hand.
“Turkey baster.”

“I still might need to go that route.”

“Move over,” Justice orders while
tugging me to the middle of the couch.

My sisters each take a shoulder and
cuddle next to me.

“We missed you last night,” Poppy
whispers.

A nodding Justice adds, “We worried
about you.”

“I missed you too.”

“Were you worried about us?”

“Court and Mom were here. If something
happened, I figured they’d save you.”

“Who would save them without you here?”

“Good point. I’ll never leave again.”

They smile at me, and I feel a little
more like myself. With Donovan, I’m constantly afraid to let my guard down and
then always worried I’ll never let my guard down. I want to keep him, but I
don’t know if I’m willing to do what I need to do to keep him. I’m a fricking
mess.

At home with these two obnoxious twits,
I return to being Journey Sheerer. Life isn’t complicated. Neither am I. As the
family’s rock, I know my place. If only I could be so confident with a man so
closed off from the world that I doubt he knows himself.
