Getting up from the table, Clinton hugged his overly intelligent sister in-law. “T
hank
s, True.”

“Don’t worry about it,” True replied. “Just tell Hayward not to worry about us and have fun.”

Strolling out of the kitchen, Clinton went in search of his brother. He found him on the floor playing with Lego’s along side his sons. “Are you ready for an adult guy’s night out?”

Placing the last piece on the castle, Hayward looked up. “Is this True’s idea?” “She has been trying to get me out of the house for weeks now.”

“Honestly, it was mine,” He admitted. “I wanted one last night out as a single man since tomorrow I’m committing myself to finding Jenisha’s ring.”

“All right, let me grab my keys and coat,” Hayward muttered, getting up from the floor.

“What are you doing here this late,” Dave asked Jenisha from her classroom doorway.

“Oh, hi Dave. I didn’t know you were still in the building,” Jenisha said, printing the last assignment off the computer.

“Clinton told me to look in on you while he was out of town and I’m glad I did,” Dave murmured, coming completely into the room. Clinton would be pissed if he knew Jenisha was till at the school at seven o’clock at night. “You shouldn’t be here this late.”

“Dave, you shouldn’t worry about me.” Jenisha laughed and added a piece of paper to the already thick stack at her elbow. “I stay late sometimes to get a head start on tomorrow’s work. Honestly, it’s nothing to worry about.”

He stood behind Jenisha at the computer and peeked over her shoulder. “I wished I knew how to use those things better, but I don’t.”

Placing her hand on the back of the seat, she turned to look at him. “Would like me to give you a few lessons after school?”

Dave looked down at Jenisha with astonishment. Clinton had really found a winner in this one. His past girlfriends would have never offered to help anyone with anything. “Are you sure you would have enough time in your schedule?”

“Let me check my schedule, and if I’m free tomorrow, we can start you first lesson.” Rising from the chair, Jenisha moved back to her desk and checked her calendar. He rested his back against the wall behind the door while he waited.

“Hey, Jenisha do you want to have dinner with me?” Charisma said, coming into the classroom, oblivious to Dave relaxing against the wall.

“God, don’t scare my like that,” Jenisha said, touching her chest.

“Sorry,” Charisma apologized, noticing the jumpy expression on her friend’s face.

“How did you know I was still here?” Jenisha moved around her desk and sat on the edge.

“I drove past here first and I got lucky. So, what about it?” Charisma asked, placing her hands on her hips. “After the day I’ve had at work I need to get it off my chest.”

Dave stood shell-shocked, staring at the stunning black woman talking to Jenisha. He didn’t want to make a sound so he would have more of a chance just to look at her. With her short black hair, full hips and tight round butt, she was a like nothing he had ever seen before.
Charisma.
Even her name was unique.

His hands itched to cup her full breasts that stretched the jade colored shirt. Instantly, his body started to harden at the thoughts in his lust-filled mind. He was so glad his shirt was long enough to cover up his hard-on. He didn’t want to embarrass Jenisha along with himself. He was looking for someone new in his life, and she was standing five feet in front of him.

“Jenisha, since you’re busy I can come back another time,” his deeply aroused voice said.

Charisma looked in the direction of the sexy rumpled voice and found a devastatingly mouth-watering, jaw dropping, dark-haired male positioned against the wall, stripping her clothes away with his dark eyes. Swallowing, she tried to hold the eye contact, but couldn’t. “I didn’t know someone was here with you,” Charisma whispered.

Taking Charisma by the arm, Jenisha pulled her over to Dave, noticing how they couldn’t take their eyes off each other. “Charisma, Dave Turner. Dave Turner, Charisma Miles.” Jenisha muttered quickly, making the introductions.

Pushing himself away from the wall, Dave went to loom over Charisma, breathing in her delicious perfume. “Jenisha, never told me she had such a beautiful girlfriend,” he stated in that deep voice of his Charisma was coming to love.

“She never mentioned you either,” Charisma replied, staring up into his eyes that held such promise of nights filled with sweaty sex.

“Let me know when a good time is for you,” Dave told Jenisha then walked out the door, leaving Charisma to stare at his hard butt wonderfully displayed in a pair of snug fitting jeans

“Dave Turner is a walking orgasm and you didn’t tell me about him,” Charisma whined, hitting Jenisha on the arm.

“How did I know you would be interested in dating a white man when all your past boyfriends have been bad boys with a decent job?” Jenisha whined, rubbing the sore spot on her arm.

“Well, I want to know more about him and that sinful body,” Charisma gushed, staring at the empty doorway. “Do you know if he has a girlfriend?”

Jenisha cocked her head, openly staring at her friend and seeing a totally different Charisma. The Charisma she knew loved playing hard to get, and it drove men wild for her. “Dave is single as far as I can tell. He hasn’t mentioned having anyone in his life.”

“I might have to change that and soon,” Charisma said with a smile, her eyes still on the empty doorway.

Charisma couldn’t get over how Dave made her fight her need to follow him out the door and get to know him better. Hell, he shouldn’t be able to walk the school’s halls with a body that lethal. It has been such a long time since she had felt such an instant attraction to a male.

Shaking herself out of the trance, she found Jenisha staring at her with a silly grin on her face, “I think someone has a crush,” she chanted repeatedly, causing Charisma to hit Jenisha with her purse.

“Girl, I don’t know what you are talking about. I just think he’s an attractive man.”

“Sure, like I’m going to believe that lie. You know you want to feel his rock hard body brush yours in a tight hot embrace with his tongue in your mouth.”

She didn’t know if she should gasp or laugh at her best friend’s comment, but in the end she went with the latter. “Jenisha, you need to keep your Clinton fantasies to yourself,” Charisma chuckled. “Damn, your man leaves town and you get all sex deprived. He needs to hurry up and get back to you,” she said, rolling her eyes.

“Hey, don’t be jealous of the hot man I have,” Jenisha tossed back with a grin.

Charisma looked at Jenisha and they both broke out into girlish laughter. “Let’s get out of here and find something to eat,” Charisma said, dragging Jenisha out of the room by the arm.

Chapter Twenty Two

On the way to their cars, Charisma spotted Dave walking to his black pickup truck. “He is one exciting looking man. I do wonder if he is as good as he looks?”

Making a spit second decision, Jenisha yelled, “Hey Dave.”

Glancing back, Dave saw Jenisha and her hot girlfriend standing at her car looking at him. Turning back around, he walked back over to them and positioned his body in front of Charisma’s. “Hey Jenisha,” he said, looking at Charisma out of the corner of his eyes enjoying the view.

“Charisma and I are going to order a pizza and watch some movies since it’s the weekend, do you want to join us?”

“Do you want me too?” He turned and asked Charisma.

“It doesn’t matter to me,” Charisma said, turning her head away from him. She pushed away the fire she had growing inside of her.

Her heart sped up when Dave touched her chin, making her look directly into his soulful eyes. “I’ll ask you again. Do you want me…” he paused then added, “to join you?”

She felt the heat of his touch burning through her body. Licking her lips, she whispered, “Yes I want you…to join us,” she finished.

Winking at her, Dave removed his hand and swung his eyes back at Jenisha. “I’ll be happy to have pizza with two gorgeous ladies. I’ll follow you in my car since I don’t know where you live, Jenisha.”

Dave sauntered back to his car trying to hold back a grin. Charisma’s skin felt so soft and warm. He wondered if her entire body felt as good.

Jenisha laid her hand on Charisma’s arm shaking her hard, “Hey, are you all right? I never seen you so caught up in a man.”

“I don’t know what happened,” Charisma mumbled, still concentrating on Dave heading toward his truck.

“You better get in your car so he can follow us,” Jenisha informed her, going toward her own car.

“Yeah,” she whispered, getting into her car that was parked right beside Jenisha’s.

“I disagree with you,” Charisma said, waving a slice of pepperoni pizza in Dave’s face. “
Rocky IV
is so much better than
Rocky II
.”

“Why do you say that?” he argued, biting into a slice of cheese pizza.

“Dolph Lundgren brought so much to
Rocky IV
and, by the way, he’s so gorgeous,” Charisma moaned.

Dave rolled his eyes, tossing his half-eaten pizza back onto the plate. “See, you only enjoyed the movie because of all the skin he showed.”

“Jenisha, who do you agree with? Me or Charisma?” Dave asked, cutting his dark brown eyes over to his boss’ girlfriend.

Smiling, Jenisha pointed at Charisma, “She’s right. Dolph was one hot looking guy in that movie.”

“Hell, where is Clinton when I need him?” Dave groaned, wiping his hands on a napkin.

“Oh, do you need back-up, Dave?” Charisma taunted.

Dave’s voice dropped to a seductive tone. “Sweetheart, I don’t need help with anything in my life. I’m very good at everything I do. Do you want proof?”

Swallowing hard, Charisma picked up her pizza and took a huge bite so she wouldn’t answer his question. Dave loved how her eyes dropped from his eyes to his mouth, but he wouldn’t mention it. Well, not yet anyway.

Jenisha sensed Dave’s flirting with Charisma was getting a little too much for her usually flirtatious friend to handle. “Hey, how about we play a board game?”

“What kind of games do you have?” Charisma asked, t
hank
ful for the diversion from Dave’s heated glances coming her way.

“I have Monopoly,” Jenisha answered.

“Sounds good to me,” Dave said, finishing off his slice of pizza and reaching for another.

“Excellent, let me go grab it out of the extra bedroom.” Jenisha went into her bedroom at the end of the hallway.

Dave waited until Jenisha left the room before he eased closer to Charisma. “So, is there someone special waiting for you at home?”

Wiping her mouth, Charisma tossed the napkin on the plate. “Why do you want to know,” she questioned.

“Answer my question and you’ll find out,” he stated.

Being a woman who loved the unknown, Charisma answered Dave’s question. “No, I don’t have someone waiting for me at home. I’m very single.”

“Good,” Dave replied. Before she could reply,, his mouth captured hers in a hot swift kiss, leaving nothing to the imagination. Dave’s tongue slid into her mouth, coaxing hers to follow his back into his moist, waiting mouth. Once there, he sucked on the tip, drawing her closer to his spread thighs, positioning her right were he wanted. Charisma could feel him through her thin white slacks, and the heat of him scared her a little.

Pushing at Dave’s solid chest, she moved away from him back to her position on the floor. Touching her lips, she whispered, “Why in the hell did you do that?”

“I wanted to taste you,” he replied honestly. “You don’t taste like any other woman I have kissed, and I like that.”

Standing up, he ran his forefinger across her lips which were still moist from his kiss. “I think I’m really going to enjoy getting to know you, Charisma Miles. Tell Jenisha something came up and I had to leave,” he said, staring at her with a hot expression before he walked out the front door.

Falling back, Charisma touched her still tingling lips from the best kiss she ever had, and from a white man at that. Shit, Dave was one amazing kisser. If he knew how to use his lips that good with just a kiss, what else could those lips do, her mind thought.

Dave wasn’t what she expected at all. He wasn’t allowing her to set and take the pace as she always did. He took control of the situation the moment he saw her and hadn’t stopped since.
How was she supposed to know long to stay with him if he called all the shots?
She didn’t even know if she could categorize him with any of the other men she had ever dated. Dave was a different man all around; nothing about him was ordinary.

From his short, spiked, coal black hair down to his thigh muscles, Dave Turner was a full, sexually experienced man. He made all the other men in her past seem like boys trying to be like men.
Did she really have the courage to do battle with him?

He proved how good he was with just with one kiss without touching her anywhere else on her heated body. God, if he really tried t,o he could have had her screaming for fulfillment right her in her best friend’s living room without a second thought. Charisma stood up, gathering the empty pizza box and used napkins.

“Where’s Dave?” Jenisha asked, coming out of the bedroom with the game.

“He had to leave,” Charisma answered with her back to Jenisha, trying to calm down her shattered nerves.

“What happened? Did he kiss you while I was gone?” Jenisha teased.

Shocked by Jenisha’s guess, Charisma dropped everything on the floor. Bending over, she picked up the items lying all over Jenisha’s light brown carpet with shaky hands and a beating heart. “No, he didn’t. Why would you say that?”

“Well, you won’t look me in the face? And, you’re acting really odd,” Jenisha stated.

“Okay, maybe it was just a little kiss,” she admitted on the way to the trashcan. Tossing the game on the table, Jenisha stared at Charisma’s back waiting for more information. “You have to tell me more about it. Was he a good kisser or not?”

“His kiss was much better than I knew a kiss could be. Dave knows how to use his lips and tongue to perfection. He had me totally at his mercy, and I loved it. It has me speculating if he’s proficient in other things too.”

Jenisha gaped at Charisma. She had never seen her so captivated by a man before, and it was shocking to see first hand. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine,” Charisma muttered while her body still ached for Dave Turner’s touch.

“You’re not acting like you are fine,” Jenisha stated. “You’re acting like a woman who has met her match.”

Startled light brown eyes stared back at her from an oval face. “Never think there is a man out there who is a match for me,” Charisma exclaimed. “Yeah, Dave Turner may have thrown me with the kiss, but I can promise you it won’t happen again. I have to go.”

Charisma left the kitchen and collected her belongings. “I’ll talk you later on,” she tossed back at Jenisha before she went out the door.

“Well, I think the queen of seduction has met her match,” Jenisha said, smirking in the empty room.
I can’t wait to see how this plays out she thought
. Dave seemed very focused on Charisma from the beginning. Happy with today’s events, Jenisha headed to her bedroom for an early night.

Around two o’clock in the morning, the phone rung beside Jenisha’s bed, waking her out of a deep sleep.

“Hello,” she answered sleepily.

“What are you wearing,” a deep voice inquired.

“Who is this,” Jenisha asked, holding back a giggle, recognizing Clinton’s voice.

“The man you’re in love with,” Clinton answered.

“Oh, Nick, didn’t I tell you not to call me at home. What if Clinton had answered the phone?”
1-2-3
, Jenisha silently counted in her head, waiting for Clinton’s reaction.

“Who in the hell is Nick?” Clinton barked into the phone.

Holding her side, Jenisha laughed at the anger in Clinton’s voice. God, he sounded so pissed and she loved it. It meant he could get jealous and very angry at any other man looking her way.

“Answer me, Jenisha,” Clinton demanded.

“Sweetheart, I was teasing you,” Jenisha confessed. “There isn’t anyone named Nick.”

“Jenisha,” Clinton warned in a serious tone.

“Baby, I love you too much to cheat on you,” she confessed over the phone. Jenisha held the phone to her ear, enjoying the sound of his voice. “How are things going there? Will you be home anytime soon?”

Clinton closed his eyes at the sound of Jenisha using the word “home” to describe her house. It melted the last doubts away in his heart. He felt so calm when he heard her voice, even if it was just over the phone.

“Sweetheart, I would be home tomorrow if I could, but I still need to finish up a few things here and then make a quick trip back to Stamford. I probably won’t be back until the middle of next week.” He smiled at the vision he had of her lying on the bed with a pillow clutched to her chest. “I miss you like crazy. Is there anything going on there I need to know about?”

“Well, Jim and Dave are doing an outstanding job getting all the work done outside and inside. They’re so talented at their individual jobs. Plus, half the female staff is lusting after both of them now that they know you belong to me.”

“So, I guess the betting pool is off?” he inquired.

“Yeah, it ended a few days before you left,” she said, pausing and wondering if she should tell him the rest.

“Jenisha, are you telling me everything?”

“No,” she answered.

“Don’t leave me hanging. What else is happening out there? I haven’t heard any good gossip in a while.”

“How do you know its gossip, Mr. Campbell?”

“From the tone of you sexy voice,” he confessed.

“Charisma has a certain man we know interested in her, and she can’t handle all the sexual tension.” “I’ll give you three guesses who it is.”

“Dave needs to stay away from her,” Clinton growled into the phone. “Let me hang up and give him a call.”

“No, you can’t do that,” Jenisha pleaded. “Charisma needs Dave right now.”

“Why would you say that?”

“She has always been the aggressive one in all her past relationships and I think now she needs to sit back and let a man chase her for a change. Dave might be the one she has been looking for without even know it.”

Jenisha didn’t want Clinton to mess up what Dave was trying to start with Charisma. “Can you please back off and let Dave do his thing? Besides, she didn’t seem to mind the hot kiss he planted on her at my house.”

“Fine,” Clinton agreed against his better judgment. “Precious, I better go, I don’t want to keep you up. I love you.”

“I love you, too,” Jenisha whispered back and hung up the phone.
