I wake to the sensation of his rough hand rubbing my thigh. I inhale and yawn rolling to face him. “Good morning.”

“It’s a great morning.” He kisses me softly. I can feel his erection on my thigh.
Oh, yes a frisky morning man. I almost forgot.
I grin and kiss him
,
then lower myself underneath the blanket. He gasps as I take him in my mouth with no notice. The blankets shield me from seeing him, but he’s shifting and moaning with every stride of my mouth on him. I feel him grip the blanket tight on each side of me. I swirl my tongue around him. “Oh my God.” He moans softly. I cup his balls in my hand and massage lightly as I open my mouth and take him as far as I can in me. He instinctively starts to thrust deep into my throat. “Greyson, I’m going to cum.” He stiffens holding tight to the blankets. He grunts my name and I feel the salty goodness on my tongue and down my throat. I swallow as fast as I can until he is convulsing from the pleasure. I slide back up to him, wiping my mouth, and kiss him.

“I’ve wanted to do that.”

“I’ve never cum that fast. You have a magic mouth.” I lay my head against him and laugh. He goes to reach for my cock, which is semihard, and I stop him.

“That was for you; for a job well done.” I use his words.  “Are you hungry?”

“Famished. Shit, did we put away the Chinese food from last night? And our clothes are all over the living room. Your roommate, I’m sure, knows everything.” He sits up on the side of the bed.

“Don’t worry. Levi put away the food for us. It sat out for a couple of hours, but I’m sure it’s fine. And don’t worry about Levi. He’s cool and he’s never shy about the men he brings home, so he’s used to the man-sleepover.”
God, I’m such a dork.
I hand him a pair of sweats and an old T-shirt. He slips them on. “You look good in my clothes, baby.” I wink and pull on a shirt. He grins as he examines his appearance in the mirror.

We walk out to the living room, Levi is already up. He’s sipping a cup of coffee watching the morning news. “Good morning, lovers.” He grins.

“Morning.” I answer. “Levi Martinez, this is Brian Silver, my….” How do I introduce him?

“Friend,” Silver finishes my sentence, grins at me, and shakes Levi’s hand. He sits down next to him and puts his feet up next to Levi’s.
Silver’s so relaxed, love it.
“What are we watching?”

“The morning news, honey, nothing like real drama in good old NYC.” I leave them talking on the couch and go to make Silver some tea.

I rejoin them minutes later. Levi is explaining what he’s planning for tonight at the bar. He works as a special event planner and just got his degree in business management. He’s hopes to open up a fabulous, his words, event business someday.

“So you have your degree?” Silver asks Levi as I hand him his tea. “Thank you, baby.”

“Aw, baby.” Levi smiles at me and then continues talking to Silver. “I just got my degree a few weeks ago.”

“I still can’t believe you opted out of the ceremony. You love that type of stuff.” I say sipping my coffee.

“I love attention, honey, on me, not two hundred other students. Plus, my mom and dad were traveling to visit my granny that was ill. If they couldn’t be there, I have no interest. They and you are the most important people in my life.”

“No brothers or sisters?” Silver asks.

Levi shakes his head. “Please, they had their hands full with me.”

“It’s nice that you two are close,” Silver says. “You know, Levi, I have a position that is opening at my club. I’d love to talk to you about it some time. Let me see how your event planning goes tonight.”

“Oh, don’t judge too much on this. It’s a karaoke night at a gay bar. There’s bound to be some type of slipup.” He laughs. “What type of position?”

“Event Coordinator; competitive. The ballrooms aren’t open yet; we’re finishing up the final details, but we have a lot of people interested in events there. It’s a beautiful and sophisticated place; I expect lots of big events to take place. I need someone to keep up with it in a professional way; it’s a competitive market in New York. If I want it to thrive; I have to be on my game, which means I need a person to be on theirs. It’s a very important part to the club so I have to make sure you’re the right fit.”

“He’s very good.” I add.
I’m surprised that Levi is being so cool and not “Levi-like” he’s really trying to impress Silver.

“Don’t let my bubbly personality scare you, Mr. Silver. I can be professional and I will be. It’s what I’ve always wanted to do.”

“I think your personality is what sells you Mr. Martinez. Never let anyone tell you differently so never denounce the real you.” I love that they are getting along. It’s important to me. “We’ll talk more tonight at the bar. Greyson and I have a few places we need to go this morning.”
Ugh, the police station. Oh, but I get a new bed too.

“Sounds good, Mr. Silver.” Levi smiles.

“Please call me Brian. I think we can be on a first-name basis.”

~Chapter Sixteen~

Silver calls Connor to meet us in about an hour outside the building. We take our time in the shower, a little too much time, as we explore each other again. He rinses the shampoo out of his hair. The soapy suds run all down his muscular frame. He squeezes his eyes closed while the water flows over his face. He leans up, his eyes still closed; “Can you hand me a washrag please?” I hand him the dry cloth. I watch him pat his eyes, never pushing hard or rubbing the hell out of them like I would do. He opens those baby-blues.
I love his eyes.
“Sorry, my eyes are so sensitive since my last surgery.”

“You can’t rub your eyes. I noticed that you just lightly patted.”

“You’re very observant.” He laughs as he wets the washrag and puts a generous amount of bodywash on it. My bodywash doesn’t smell as good as his, but he likes it; says it reminds him of me. “I have to be careful not to scratch or injure my corneas. Harsh rubbing, or anything like that, is not allowed. I hate it. Sometimes, I just want to rub them.”

“How do you stop yourself?” I rinse the shampoo from my hair and he starts to wash me.

“They were a gift. I don’t take them for granted.”

“What do you mean a gift?”

“Transplants, my corneas were a transplant.” I stop and look at him. I knew he had surgeries but I never realized that he had a transplant already. All the research I was doing on him and his eye disease says the cornea transplant is the last step they take, usually when the disease has almost completely, if not fully, blinded the person. “Stop looking at me that way Greyson. I’m fine.”

“How long do transplanted corneas last?” My words bring out the worry in his face. I probably shouldn’t have asked that.

“Some say it will last the rest of the recipient’s life and some say it won’t last very long. It depends on a variety of factors. I’ve been lucky, that’s all you need to know.” His voice is different. It’s his worst fear, and as strong as he wants me to believe he is, I can feel his worry. I step close to him and our eyes gaze into each other’s. He closes his as I lean in to kiss him. I press my lips tenderly against his, and then reach up to softly kiss both his eyelids. He looks at me as we finish rinsing off. “You make it worth it, Greyson. I want to see everything with you.”

“Maybe we should go out on a first date, don’t you think.”

“Maybe.” He kisses me, pushing me against the shower wall. “I think we’re past first date.” He whispers in my ear; his hand jerking at my cock. We are just starting to get really worked up when Levi knocks at the door.

“Not to cut this short, lovers, but you’ve been in there for like forty-five minutes. I need to take a shower, so unless you want company, let’s get this done.”

I smile, more because I know Levi and he’s not joking about joining us. “Connor should be here soon. We can finish this later.”

He sighs through a laugh. “I’ve never had a roommate before and now I know why.”

I reach over and turn off the shower while he grabs two towels. As we open the door, Levi is resting his back against the wall. “’Bout time. Hope there’s hot water.” He’s not hiding the fact that he’s scanning his eyes over Silver’s body. “But I’ll forgive you guys. I need a cold shower after seeing this anyway.” He laughs and shuts the bathroom door.

“Is he always like this?” Silver asks.

“Nope, he’s very reserved with you for some reason.” He knows I’m being sarcastic. We walk into my bedroom. Levi had folded all our clothes that we left in the living room onto my bed nice and neat. “See he even cleans up. He hates disorganization.”

“Good to know. I really do like him. Especially now that I know you’re relationship with him is platonic.”

“And the truth comes out. You are a jealous fool.”

“You have no idea.” He leans over and kisses me while he buttons up his dress shirt. His phone beeps.
Connor is probably waiting for us.
I watch him text back. “I told him we’d be out in a few minutes.”

“Ok, let me fix my hair.”

“I need to as well.”

I laugh, “Well Levi’s in the shower so we have to go in there with him.”

“We need to get you guys a bigger place.” He smirks.
Why do I think he’s serious?

When we’ve both finished prettying ourselves up, we take the elevator down, greet Connor, and drive over to the local precinct to meet Cynthia. The precinct is nestled in a rough area so one could imagine the stuff that comes in and out of there. We walk into a sea of people; some being booked, some bailing out others, and some I have no idea what the hell they’re doing there; and frankly I’m fine not knowing. Cynthia comes out to greet us. She rushes to Silver and pulls him into a hug. She’s very pretty; slim, blonde, really nice hourglass figure. I could see why guys would like her.  Silver introduces me. “Cynthia, this is my friend Greyson Black.”

“Well, Mr. Black, it’s very nice to meet you in person. Brian has told me a lot about you.”

“Really?” I suspiciously grin at Silver. Seems he’s been talking to a lot of people about me. “But please, Cynthia, call me Greyson or Grey.”

“Sounds good,” she warmly states and then turns back to Silver. “How are you feeling? Everything ok still?” She points to her eyes.

“Everything’s good. How’s Chase?” Silver inquires about her son.

“Uh, not good, the doctors put him on the transplant list. They felt it was the only option because his sight has deteriorated so much. God, it’s so hard to see him go through this. He’s only eleven; his whole life is ahead of him.” My heart aches for her, and I can see Silver’s does as well, but he stays positive. “And Robert never came back; weak son of a bitch.”

“I have no respect for that man,” Silver states “I’m sorry, Greyson. I guess we should explain. Robert was Cynthia’s husband and he left when Chase started having all his issues. He said he couldn’t handle it.”

I nod. “That’s horrible. I’m so sorry.”

Cynthia smiles. “We’re better off without him, but thank you. I owe Brian a lot. He’s helped us out more than anyone.” I glance to Silver. The more I hear about him, the more I like him.

“Anyways, you came for a reason; let’s go to my office, gentlemen. I have interesting news.”

We follow her to the office in the corner. She invites us to sit in the two chairs in front of her desk. She sits and shuffles through some paper on her desk then turns to her computer. “Ok, I’ve opened your case and filled everything out.” She pulls some papers out of the printer and hands it to me. “Here is everything we discussed last night. Look this over and let me know if there are any discrepancies. I actually forgot a file in the conference room, so if you’ll excuse me. I’ll just be a few minutes and that should give you enough time to review those.”

She exits and I review the papers. Silver stands behind me and looks over my shoulder. She returns a few minutes later with a thick manila envelope in her hand. She opens it up on her desk and the first thing I see is a picture of Derrek.
It’s his file and it’s thick, nice.
She nods to me, “Everything looks ok on there?”

“Everything is accurate.” I concur. She points to the line at the bottom of the paper for me to sign off on it and then asks Silver to sign as a witness. She pushes the picture of Derrek to the end of the desk close to me. “This is the man you were talking about yesterday, correct?” I nod to answer. “Then I have some pretty interesting news. He’s out as a suspect.”

“How’s that?” Silver asks.

“He killed himself four months ago.” She looks at me and tries to read my expression which is blank.

“Are you sure? I thought he was in jail.” Silver is always so thorough.

“He was being treated for depression. The nurses at the prison were giving him his meds daily. He must have been hiding them under his tongue or something because he saved up a ton of them and took them all at once; overdosed in his sleep. I’m sorry, Greyson.”

“Why are you saying you’re sorry? That man was horrible to Greyson.” Silver is getting irritated.

“I think I can answer for myself, Silver.” I look at Silver and he nods to say sorry, but I can tell he is agitated. “You’re right though, he treated me horribly, but I don’t wish anyone dead. He had a family; parents that loved him. What does this mean? We have no lead then?”

Cynthia settles back in her seat; “I’m afraid that even he was a long shot, but at least we had something to go off of.  Does anyone know what he did to you? Someone that would copycat him?”

“The only people that know are Silver, I just told him last night, and Levi. Levi’s my roommate and he would never tell anyone. I never told anyone else. I mean there were cops, lawyers, and the judge that knew. That’s all though, and I don’t think Derrek would have told anyone, but that’s only an assumption.”

“Anyone else that you can think of that might have a personal agenda against you?” Cynthia asks and I shake my head.

“How about Jeff?” Silver asks.

“Jeff wouldn’t hurt me. Plus, why would he send the photos to himself?”

“To make himself look innocent. And as far as hurting you, we don’t even know if this man wants to. We just know, right now, that he is trying to scare you. I think Jeff is very capable of that.”

“I know you don’t like Jeff, but what would he have to gain from this?” Silver shrugs his shoulders. I smile back at him. “Jeff’s a good guy. He’s just confused and he loves me.” I glance to Cynthia who is watching Silver intently. I know he doesn’t like to hear that, but it’s the truth, and I’m sure Cynthia, as a friend of his, feels for him.
Shit, maybe I should reassure them.
“But I don’t love him. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t care for him though.”

Silver smiles warmly. “You’re a good man.”

“Well from this point on what we do is…. Wait,” Cynthia states.

“Wait? What? Until something happens to him?”

“Brian, right now there are only a bunch of individual pieces to this puzzle. Some of these pieces might not even belong to this particular puzzle. I would suggest being vigilant and reporting anything suspicious. If you think a situation is dangerous; treat it as such. And most importantly, try not to go anywhere alone right now; at least until these incidents go away or he’s caught.” She looks at me and I nod.

“Do they usually just go away?” I think I know the answer to my question already, but I want to hear it from her.

“Not usually, but every case is different. I have a meeting I have to get to.” She takes a card out of her drawer and hands it to me. “If there’s anything, day or night, call me. This has my cell number and office. I’ll walk you gentlemen out.”

Silver pecks her cheek at the door. “Call me; I would love to be there for you and Chase when he has his surgery and before. If you need anything please do not hesitate to call me.” She thanks him and then shakes my hand. “Thank you for everything, Cynthia.” I agree and thank her again.

“Wish I could do more.” She pats Brian’s back. “You two look happy, stay that way.”
