"The baby is due next week," Julie told Jean, her hand placed on her swollen belly as she sat on the coach in their living room.

Her mother, who had stopped smoking cigarettes out of respect for Julie's upcoming baby, and had
instead taking up the hobby of drinking coffee, sipped from her mug and smiled, "Isn't that wonderful? I can't wait to have my little grand baby, running around here, filling this place with love."

Julie smiled back. "Neither can
I."

Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door. Julie began to get up, but her mother quickly set her coffee mug aside and held out a staying hand. "Don't you worry that belly," she told her daughter. "I'll get it."

Her mother returned with an unwelcome visitor...Julie's cousin, Kevin...and his girlfriend Martha.

Kevin, who Julie had not seen in months, had almost lost most of his hair in the front. He was dressed in jeans and a simple t-shirt and looked nothing like the hot guys he professed that Julie could not get.

Beside him, his girlfriend Martha, was no prize either. With, a skinny, Olive Oil-looking frame, she was nothing special to call home about.

"Hello, Kevin," Julie said diplomatically.  She looked pointedly at
Martha who she had not met before that day, but had heard so much about, and extended her hand. "Hi, I'm Julie, Kevin's cousin. I'm sure you've heard a lot about me and my weight."

Flustered, Martha glanced uncertainly at Kevin, taken aback by Julie's words.

Julie laughed. "I'm just kidding."

No, I'm not.

Before the beleaguered girl could respond, there was a knock on the door again.

"I'll get it," Jean said quickly to break the tension. She left the room and returned a moment later with a welcome sight.

Julie's heart filled with love as Tristan walked in, dressed in his business attire, his hair slicked back as usual. He paused once when he saw Kevin and his girlfriend, but then continued on over to Julie, where he planted a large, affectionate kiss on her lips.

"How's my little cub in there?" he asked her, placing his hand on her belly.

"Fine," Julie muttered. "I just wish the little bugger would stop kicking so much."

"It will only be a while longer," said Tristan.

"I hope so," Julie breathed. She studied him, wondering what he was doing back from work so early. "You were actually able to get out of your shareholder meetings scheduled for today?"

Tristan nodded and grinned. "I am the boss, after all."

Kevin, who was sizing up Tristan with confusion, blurted out, "Wait a second, who is this guy?" As far as Julie knew, her cousin and Tristan had never met and Kevin had naturally assumed that Julie had gotten pregnant by some hard-up desperate guy.

Right then, Kevin's words came back to her.
You're too fat to get a hot guy.
But this time they held no weight. Not only had Julie nabbed her hot guy...he was also a shape shifting werewolf that was a rich CEO of an insurance company.

Not bad for a fat chick.

Julie looked at her cousin, smiled and said, "He's my mate."
