“Hey, what’s up?”

“Finn reckons thon van was over by the old quarry earlier, and there’s a roll of barbed wired fencing and some ties dumped behind the shed where you’d not stumble on them. What do you want us to do?”

Jeff thought for a moment. “Leave it, but, er, any chance it could become so tangled up it’s almost unusable? In a way that looks like it’s an accident? I’ve got that unhappy itch still about Donny. I know he’s your nephew, but he’s a slippery sod.”

Lachy grunted and chuckled. “Aye he’s thrawn all right. Ach, you dinna ask for much mon, dae ye? Ah, I think we can come up with something. It’s a wee bittie below where those old empty oil drums are. I bet one could roll down the hill if kids were messing with them. And I’ll put it about in the pub we think kids have been around. How’s that? And do you want me to have a wee word in young Donaldson’s ear?” He referred to the local policeman, always called young Donaldson, even though he was pushing fifty, because his father had been a bobby in the area before him.

“Yeah, good idea. If there’s something going on, it can’t be good. I’ll leave it all to you and pop over on Thursday as usual, unless you say otherwise. Best not to raise suspicion, eh?”

“Yup. Right then. Oh, and young Finn is shaping up well. I thought I’d let you know. She and Alexina are going over to the cottage tomorrow for what the wife says is a marathon clean up. I’m staying well oot of it. I think I heard something about Jess and Kath going as well. No doubt all our ears will be red, eh?” He rang off and Jeff pondered his words. How could he put it to Kath tactfully to be careful and not overdo things?
I can’t. So I’ll just put my Dom voice on.
Somehow, Jeff had the uneasy feeling Kath wouldn’t go for it. After all, he’d only been a Dom in a negative way lately. All don’t, don’t, don’t, and no do, do, do. Was it any wonder she’d been glaring at him? Jeff decided he needed to pull up his boxers, pull on his leathers and act like the Dom he was.
Just because I won’t let her touch me, and I won’t touch her, doesn’t mean the dynamic’s gone. It’s merely changed, and it’s up to me to set the pace
. Jeff began to think. After the note and phone call, he knew he was the only person who could alter the status quo. Unless he wanted an empty bed for ever more. One night was enough to show him it wasn’t what he wanted at all.

He picked the phone up and began to set his plans in motion. “David? I need your help and fast. No, nothing like that. We’ll talk over Lachy’s worries tonight. I want the girls to know what’s going on. This is a plea from me for me. I want to learn to be a Dom once more.”

By the time Kath reappeared several hours later, with a big grin on her face and rubbing her back, he wasn’t sure if his resolve was strong enough to carry his ideas through.
Don’t wuss out. Do it.

“Boy have I enjoyed myself, but, ohh, now my feet ache, and I’m dying for a cuppa. You should see what I’ve bought.” Kath kicked her shoes off and dropped several carrier bags on the floor. “That new shop is enough to set any woman drooling, pregnant or not. And I got some kick ass flats like you said. Though I have earmarked some fuck me heels for after Bump arrives, and you should see…” Her voice trailed off as he stood with his arms folded and grinned at her. “I distrust that grin, Jeff Sutherland. What have you been up to?”

“Is that anyway to great your Master, pet?”

Her eyes widened as she took in what they called his Dom attire. The soft leather trousers she stroked like they were alive and his tight black T-shirt she almost drooled over. He’d deliberately left them in the wardrobe of late, feeling it would be unfair to remind both of them what they couldn’t have. Now in his new mindset—partly due, he admitted, to a strong talking to from David, but more from a need and a desire to reassert their way of life—Jeff realized how much he wanted to wear them and see her reaction once more. Kath had said her response to those clothes was almost Pavlovian. He wore. She drooled. He said jump, she said how high? They were, she admitted, her trigger. Now, her grin almost split her face before she dipped her head.

“No, Sir.”

“Exactly, pet. I’ve been somewhat remiss lately, and I have to remedy that. I don’t want my pet to think I’ve forgotten her.” He slid back into their dynamic like a knife through softened butter. It seemed so right, and so perfect. Now all he had to do was convince Kath to be happy with the changes he’d decided on. “I’ve thought things over, and we’re going to rewrite some of our protocols. Remember, you can traffic light me, but for now I’m going to ask you to listen to what I want before you comment. All right?” Jeff held his breath. If it wasn’t, there was no way he could force anything on her. Force in any form had never formed part of their dynamics, not even in role-play. It wasn’t them, and never would be.

Kath looked from him to the cushioned chair he’d added to the room. He’d placed it in front of the chair he himself preferred to sit in, right over the spot Kath usually liked to curl up on and cuddle his legs. Then she looked across the room to where he’d put a new sofa. Jeff didn’t dare think of the strings he’d pulled or the favors he now owed so he could have it in place and waiting for Kath’s return.

“Yes, Sir. Green, Sir.” She grinned, then looked down in a hurry.

“That’s my good pet. Now as you get less…” He chuckled. “I’m not sure how to put this any way subtly, so I’ll just say, less svelte-like and more uncomfortable, it wouldn’t be practical to kneel as we have done before. So our new protocol involves this chair.” He took her arm and helped her sit. A soft smile played over Kath’s face, but she didn’t say a word. When they did play like this, she always waited to speak. “Instead of kneeling, pet, you’ll sit on here and face me. Then I’d like…” He hesitated. This could be sticky. He didn’t want Kath to think she mattered less than their baby. “I’d like for you to accept me touching our child. To feel the swell of your stomach, the flutters and kicks as you get bigger, and rest my head on you so I can engage with you both, I guess is the best way to put it. However, your greeting to me will be equally as important. I want, while it’s still comfortable, for you to dip your head and accept my kiss on your neck. Then, eventually, once it’s time, we’ll move on to our normal greetings. The new sofa is for our evening together. We’ll have none of the sitting at my feet. I don’t think either of us would find it a turn on if I had to haul you up like…”

“Using a JCB?” Kath giggled. “No, Sir. I’d be honored to sit next to you. Oh, sorry. Mind engaged and mouth opened.” She wriggled her butt, in a way he well knew meant ‘spank me’.

“Behave. The punishment won’t be physical, not now. Maybe I need a book? To write your misbehavior in.” She nodded eagerly, and Jeff had to laugh. Kath in this mood was incorrigible and nigh on irresistible. “Color?”

“Green and green. And may I say the day I can start touching you in our greeting again can’t come soon enough, Sir.”

She’s up to something.
The look on Kath’s face was so innocent he distrusted it.

“That’s a maybe. However it isn’t yet. Not until we pass the three months. So behave.” He lifted her chin in a light grip. “Understand, pet?”

She sighed. “Only too well, Sir. By God you’re infrangible when you want to be.”

“I’m a Dom. It goes with the territory.”

Chapter Five

Kath looked up at him, and saw the chrysalis of the old Master in his eyes. She didn’t kid herself for one minute that things would be back as they had been. He was correct in that they had to change the dynamics, but for the life of her, she didn’t know why she couldn’t greet him in their own special way. Why did he have to go without as well? Yes, it was noble and self-sacrificing, but she still thought it oh so unnecessary. However, she decided now wasn’t the time to complain. So she dipped her head in agreement. “Yes, Sir, and I love every masterful Dom inch of you.”

He chuckled. “Good, pet, so are we all green so far?”

She blinked. Why wouldn’t they be?

“Waiting, pet.”

“Oh, yes, Sir.”

“I hear a but in there?”

Kath bit her lip. “Yes, Sir, green, but I would
so
love to take your cock in my mouth and make you come. I understand you don’t want to make love inside me, but, oh, hell, I’m horny and why should you be as well?”

“Like for like, pet. Is that all?” His voice still had that indefinable note of decision in it.

Kath sighed mentally. He might think it was all, but even though she accepted if she didn’t come soon she’d be a raving lunatic, it was damned hard. How he, who had a healthy, lusty appetite could hold out, she had no idea. It was strange, she mused. Not for one minute did she think he’d given himself a helping hand. She almost sniggered at her thoughts.
Helping hand, oh, stop it.

“Pet?”

She’d forgotten to answer him. “Yes, Sir.”

“Good. Ah, Kath, it’s going to be work things out as we go along, but I don’t see why we can’t have some of our protocols now.”

She realized he’d dropped down a notch. “Yes, okay, but I tell you once you decide it’s all systems go, please don’t expect to get out of our bed or wherever for days. I’ve a lot of climaxes to make up.”

He kissed her nose. “You and me both, but Bump first.”

“Well duh, but you know what…okay, okay,” she added hastily. “No more for now. So are you cooking for us all, or is it phone out and take out?” Even though her upchuck reflex had decreased dramatically, the thought of cooking anything except scrambled eggs made her go green. However she was happy to eat anything put in front of her.

“Phone down and bring up,” Jeff said. “And, I have decided we
will
have a notebook.”

Kath liked the sound of that. All the punishments adding up and… She clenched her pussy muscles. The thought was all too orgasm-inducing.

“The chef’s doing paella tonight,” Jeff said. “Knowing how you salivate at the name, I asked him to prepare enough for us.”

She groaned in an ‘oh yes’ way. “You doll.”

“Hmm, doll or Dom? Right, so what can you show me without my blood pressure going sky high and my cock breaking this zipper?”

Not a lot it seemed. But Kath had to admire his iron resolve—unfortunately. He adjusted his dick and his trousers more than once as she showed him the pretty red flat sandals that hinted of things only dreamt of. Of tiny diamonds scratching over the skin, creating friction as one leather and gem shoe slid over his back. Then the silk ties sliding around him, as they gradually unfurled from one leg to stroke his skin. To Kath’s satisfaction, the fuck me now stockings and suspenders brought a sheen of sweat over him, and the hairs on his arms stood to attention.

“Then I could sit as you asked me, or stretch out and wrap my legs around you. Do as my Sir demands to make us both hot and excited. See there’s even a matching soft flogger. One to tickle and tease not to thud or sting. Mind you, is that good or bad? I don’t know, what do you think?”

Jeff’s breath became choppy. “Tease. When you’ve had the baby, you’ll find out.”

“It tickles, hon, maybe it should be called a tickler. Look.” She traced a line over his T-shirt and down his arm. “Good, eh?” She turned the implement around and held it to him, handle first.

“Thank you, very good, no dice. Behave, minx. Right, do you want a cuppa? Jess and David will be here in an hour. Oh and I got a bottle of non-alcoholic fizz for you.”

“Yes, please and snap.” Kath rummaged in her last carrier bag and pulled out a bottle of sparking grape juice. “I told Jess it was for a new fruit punch recipe I was trying before we put it into the club.” She didn’t add that even though she’d never actually said the words to Jess, Jess understood fine well Kath was pregnant, even without that tell-tale trip to the chemist. They’d known each other for so long, that Kath’s aversion to strong cheese and her desire for strong coffee elicited no comment. Jess, bless her, had grinned, put her fingers across her lips in a zipping motion and shook her head.

“No, don’t say a word, then you can be truthful when my dear brother asks if you’ve actually told me you’re pregnant. But I bet you want to go to Bump and Beautiful don’t you?” she’d said.

Kath had grinned. “Well, yeah.” The fetish shop mainly catered for non-pregnant women, but had recently opened a blooming mama department. By all accounts, business was booming. Having visited it, Kath could see why, the maternity outfits were gorgeous. While Kath tried on corsets, Jess had purchased a leather, ‘Oh I mean business’ flogger with a big grin.

“Yee ha, I’ve wanted to see how one of these feels for ages, and Sir told me to get one if I saw one. Want to try it out?”

She’d handed it to Kath, who even just by holding it felt the familiar, ‘Oh, God, I’m turned on’ quiver in her channel and the dampness on her thighs. “On you?” Kath grinned. She and Jess had been lovers as well as friends in years gone by. Jess laughed.

“Er, nope, I reckon the way you’re feeling you could be a bit too enthusiastic there.”

“You could well be right. I could come by rubbing it over my clit once. I’m so hungry, it’s ridiculous. I tell ya, Jess, no way can this go on much longer, it’s crazy. I’m turning into a sex-starved lunatic. Even a stick of celery had my mind in overdrive. Celery for goodness sake. Even Ethan McCormick was better endowed than that and we all went eeww when he waved it in our faces.” The remembrance of a schoolboy prank had them both doubled up. “But Jeff? Okay, so not a stick of celery.”

“TMI, love, that’s my brother you’re talking about. Let’s say, er, cucumber?”

“Argh, don’t. Courgette? Marrow?” Kath had giggled. “I’m not telling. On another note, I know he’s been to see Emma, I saw the leaflet she gave him, and still he’s holding back. Oh I know it’s ’cause of your mum, but this is thirty years on, and I’m not her. Grief, I don’t want to scene, nothing remotely like it, but I do want to come.” She’d opened her hands in a ‘why this’ gesture. “I mean we don’t have to have full on, all bells ringing stuff, but a nice slow play and come would hit the spot. Hell, the nearest I’ve ever come to being ill was when I had my tonsils out when I was seven. That’s it. No flu, no broken legs, touch wood, not even chicken pox or measles. I’m ridiculously healthy.”
