Holding the finishing tape after winning the 2009 U.S. Championships in the 1500 meters. I am off to compete in the Berlin World Championships.

Talking with my teammate Bernard Lagat after we both made the World Championship 1500 meter finals in Berlin.

This is my proudest accomplishment: Peter and Alex’s first day in the U.S. with their coaches (left side) and foster father, Winston Brown (right side).

Off the track my time and effort go into improving lives in Kenya and Sudan with the Lopez Lomong Foundation. Brittany accompanies me to Kenya.

Peter, Alex, and the Brown Family came to watch me race in New York. Afterward I explored New York with my brothers.

Proudly supporting Brittany at her graduation from the Air Force Academy as she is commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.

With my parents after receiving my degree.

A tense moment before the starting gun fires at the Pre-classic Invitational Track Meet in Oregon.

The Lopez Lomong Foundation partners with World Vision and I make a trip to the Chicago Marathon to raise money for water in South Sudan.

After two years in the U.S., Peter and Alex have grown into respectable young men and continue to achieve high marks at Fork Union Military Academy.

At the track in Oregon after a workout . . . working hard to be amongst the best in the World at the London 2012 Olympics.
