“You what?” Elle asked as she looked at her best friend who was filling her in on what had happened the night of the party. When Natalia got back to the office, she had half a mind to call it a day and just go home but the fact that it was only ten past two made her change her mind. She looked at a post it note on her computer and sighed. She was supposed to go through some paperwork before the end of the day. ‘Some paperwork’ as Rick had called it was going to be a ton of paperwork, that much she knew. She sighed and opened one of the files on the desk. She had just completed the first page of the file when she heard her phone ringing. She reached for her phone and looked at the screen. A smile played on her lips when she saw it was Alex texting her.

“You went through these files awfully fast,” Rick said as she looked at the stack of files she had put on his desk.

“I know.” She took the bottle of wine from him. “I guess it’s just because I have been in this position a little too much.”
