Chapter Fifteen

Sometime
in the wee hours of the morning, when two sexy bodies had collapsed on the bed
in the master bedroom, hands started exploring and kisses trailed hotly along
her back. Tantalizing sensations of pure pleasure worked up and down her spine,
making her weak with need. He cupped her breasts while his tongue licked and
his lips kissed their way to her neck and ear.

“Ahhh,”
she moaned. “Bronte, please, you’re torturing me.”

His
body pressed into her from behind and his swollen cock dug into her ass. He
eased up momentarily, only to lower himself, hoist her hips, parted her thighs
and sank his tongue into her moist cavern.

She
jumped at the sensation of it, “Oh God!”

 His
hot tongue was massaging her, bringing more pleasure than she could ever
imagine it could. She imagined that he must have felt the same intense pleasure
when she had taken him into her mouth. She’d kissed it lovingly, before
circling the tip with her tongue. Then, she had slid her mouth along its length
taking him fully. She had glided up and down until she felt him swell inside
her mouth. He had groaned and gripped her head, sucking in his breath when she
applied just a tad of pressure with her lips.

Now,
here he was, flicking her clit with the tip of his tongue, then he bit it ever
so lightly that a thrilling sensation gripped her entire body.  She moved her
hips along with the rhythm of his massage, relishing every beautiful stroke.

He
moved again and came in line with her body His cock was still as big and hard
as a rock, and she wanted to feel him inside her. He was kissing her cheeks and
she turned her head so he could take her lips. Her breasts were in his palms
while his thumb and index finger twiddled her nipples.

She was
spurting more fluid by the minute as he increased her desire. He shifted again,
releasing her breasts to position her hips against his groin. There, he guided
his shaft to her opening and slowly slid into fleshy pussy. Her labia embraced
him like a protective shield, her flesh sucking him in deeper and deeper.

He slid
in and out of her, enjoying the feel of her around him, she was nice and wet,
giving him extreme pleasure with every thrust of his huge cock. He bent over
and grabbed her breasts again, squeezing them gently.

She
like how his cock caressed her vaginal walls. The ribs on his shaft only served
to pleasure her more. She wanted him deeper, so she pushed her ass up against
his pelvis to drive him deeper inside her. She could feel his balls slapping
against clit and she could hardly keep from screaming.

What
started as a slow rhythm soon picked up tempo, he was now slapping his hips
against her ass and she was urging him on by saying, “Yes, my lord, deeper my
lord.”

Bronte
growled deep in his throat at the sheer ecstasy he was experiencing. He felt
himself on the brink, but he waited until he felt her tighten around him and
her body started shaking. She was convulsing vigorously and he knew her time
had come.

Every
limb in her body weakened, her head felt like something was about to explode
there, but it only exploded deep in her epicenter and the waves of the explosion
spread through the rest of her. She felt herself tremble, and then she could
not help the orgasmic eruption that rocked her body. As she was mid orgasm, she
felt him drive deeper into her, and another explosion rocked her again.

Then,
he was pumping into her and his pleasure reached epic proportions. She could
feel his body stiffen and a feral sound escaped him as he gripped her hips
tightly and plunged into her once again, holding himself still to complete his
rapture.

With
absolute bliss, they lay in each other’s arms, both thinking of the night’s
events and how their love defeated the wicked witch.

“Is
that why you left the mansion, because you knew?” He asked. They’d started
talking about what happened, and she told him how she figured everything out.

“Hmm,
she even tried to inhabit my body,” Silene casually announced.

Bronte
sat up with a start, “What? So, that’s what happened. Why didn’t you tell me?
What do you mean she tried? How…,” his questions were running into each other.

“Shh,
one question at a time,” Silene placed a finger on his lips. “I think my
pendant has special powers.”

“What
pendant?”

“This,”
she held it up for him to see.

She
told him about her grandfather and how he gave her the pendant. She also filled
him in on what really happened the day Hilda visited her. He also told her of
his past and the things he’d done that the diary hadn’t covered. Somewhere in
the back of both their minds, they wondered if it was all over, but recalling
how the witch screamed and faded into nothingness, gave them both a sense of
relief.

“Does
this mean you’re no longer immortal?’

“I
suppose so, since I’m no longer a dragon” he mused.

“That’s
not true,” he looked at her with his brows knitted. She reached over and
whispered, “You will always be my dragon master.”

THE END

Desired
by the Alpha Lion

Chapter One

Stepping out onto the sidewalk
from the backseat of the town car, Lex adjusted his shirt cuffs and glanced
around. He offered a hand to his companion, assisting her from the car as well.
This was the first time he’d ventured out of his lavish uptown penthouse
apartment in close to a month, and he took a moment to absorb all the reasons
why he allowed his pride to step out and fetch for him. His senses were
heightened by his animal genes, and everything was enhanced.

“The city smells at this low
level,” he remarked in a quiet voice as he escorted her toward the store. She
loved Babette’s and it was where she had asked to pick out jewelry for their
next charity function.

Patting his arm, she smiled
adoringly. “Yes, but you get used to it after a while. It’s better once you’re
off the street.”

He removed his expensive
sunglasses upon entering and stood there a moment to survey the glass displays.
It was highly unlikely that they would find anything acceptable inside any of
them.

“Mr. King! To what do we owe
this honor?”

Turning his head, he smiled
politely at the manager as the well-dressed man hurried over to greet them with
handshakes and lavish words of praise. Lex had been purchasing jewels for his
pride there for years, and was probably the primary reason the store was still
afloat in such economically poor times.

“What can we help you and your
lovely lady with today Mr. King? Is it another charity ball? A party?” he asked
as he showed them into the private back room where the more expensive pieces
were presented to the clientele with deeper pockets.

Liona placed a hand on Lex’s
arm and smiled lovingly up at him. “My Lex is escorting me to a charity auction
this weekend. I need some jewels to compliment my gown. It’s a beautifully rich
shade of gold.”

The man nodded thoughtfully,
hand on his chin. “I think I have a few pieces that may work. They’re part of a
vintage estate we recently acquired. You’ve always looked so lovely in the more
antique pieces. I’ll go get those, as well as a few other options, and then let
you have a look. Be right back.”

Pacing the smaller room, Lex
tried to ignore the feeling of claustrophobia that had begun to creep up on
him. He despised close quarters. Even the larger showroom was still too tight
for his liking. It was the main reason he kept to the penthouse. Although he
loved the views overlooking the expansive park below, as well as the
convenience of living in the city, the crush of people also inhabiting it was simply
more than he could deal with on a daily basis.

“Lex.”

Liona’s gentle voice and soft
touch against his cheek pulled him from his dower thoughts, and he smiled
indulgently down at her. “I’m sorry. You asked me to be here with you and my
thoughts took me somewhere else. I won’t let it happen again.”

Frowning, she searched the
strong features of his face for a moment. “Are you sure you’ll be able to make
it through the auction? There will be more people there than you’re used to
dealing with.”

He nodded and brought her hand
to his lips. After kissing her knuckles, he smiled again. “I can’t very well
skip an event for my own charity.”

The manager returned just then
carrying a few trays of jewels, and they spent the next two hours choosing the
perfect pieces. By the time they finished, Lex was ready to crawl out of his
skin. He didn’t even care that Liona had exceeded the hundred thousand limit
he’d given her. All he wanted to do was pay and leave.

Once they returned to the
penthouse, he closed himself in his study. He didn’t want to deal with the
other lionesses or pride politics. Frankly, all he wanted to do was to stare
out the window and let his nerves decompress.

It was a hard job leading a
pride as large as his. It was by far the biggest in the city, but with pockets
as deep as his, the financial burden was minimal. It was the emotional burden
he struggled with on occasion. He loved all of his lionesses a great deal, but
there were times, every now and then, that he wondered what it would be like if
he were just a regular human man with only one human woman sharing his life.

A soft knock sounded on the
door, and Lex ran a hand through his long blonde hair. “Come,” he called.

“I just wanted to check on
you,” Liona said as she walked in. She’d become his favorite, as of late.

“I’m fine. Is everything ready
for the auction?”

Nodding, she curled up in his
lap and snuggled close. “Lissel checked with the caterer, florist, band, and
venue. Lilliano called all of the people making donations to the event.
Everything has been handled. All you have to do is show up and look good. So,
really, all you have to do is show up.”

Her teasing had the desired
effect and he smiled as he leaned down to kiss her. Although he knew she would
have allowed him to push the moment further, he didn’t take the advantage she
offered. More than one of his lionesses had hinted at wanting to bear his
offspring, but he wasn’t sure. As much as he cared about them, not a single one
touched his heart in a way he thought the mother of his first-born should.

So as not to crush her mood
entirely, he patted her hip, urging her to stand. “Let’s go out for dinner
tonight. Pick out your favorite dress and I’ll make the reservation myself.”

Her excitement showed in her
sparkling gold eyes and wide smile. “Do you mean it?”

“Go,” he urged, and then
followed her out of the room.

When they returned from dinner,
Lissel and one of the younger lionesses were already in his bed and Liona
crawled in between kissing them both and snuggling down. Lex grinned at his pride
females and tossed them the remote.

“I’m going to take a shower my
princesses and when I come out I’ll love you all. Watch something on television
while I shower.”

“Hurry back,” Lissel was always
eager to see him always. He grinned and went to groom himself. Once he’d had
his fill of the two younger lionesses, he sent them away and held Liona close
to his chest relieved to simply drift into sleep and not worry about tending
the ladies or ruling the pride for a few hours.

Chapter
Two

Three days later, it was time
to go to the auction. Liona was helping him with his bowtie in the back of the
limo. She finished just as they pulled up in front of the hotel where his
charity was holding the auction to raise money for the wildlife conservation.
It was a cause dear to his heart, and he’d raised millions for it over the past
ten years.

“How do I look?” she asked as
she touched a hand to the gold and diamond necklace he’d purchased for her days
earlier. Ringlets of golden hair cascaded over her shoulders and a sparkle of
mischief shone in her bright gold eyes. Those who didn’t know thought she wore
colored contacts as they were so bright. It was a sign of good genes in their
world, and obviously, she had some type of regal blood running through her
veins.

He lifted her hand and placed a
kiss on her palm. “You look lovely, as usual. A true lioness.”

Inside the ballroom, everything
was dripping with luscious blooms and greenery, candlelight, and sparkling gems
to reflect the light around the room. Soft music filled the large space while
those in attendance milled about or sampled hors d’oeuvres from the tuxedoed
waiters floating throughout the crowd.

Lex pushed down his feelings as
he walked into the ballroom and slapped on his business smile. He was only
present to take as much money from these people as he possibly could. The least
he could do was make them feel good about it.

Following Liona, who was in all
her glory, mingling and laughing without a care. She was always the life of the
party and had a vivaciousness that made her the obvious alpha female. Lex
merely smiled and nodded to the handful of guests he recognized, but otherwise
kept to himself.

Then, he caught sight of her.
His breath caught in his chest and he instantly started moving in her direction
for a better look.

She was standing to the side of
the room next to another woman. Although her gown was appropriate for the
formal event, he could tell it wasn’t anything of a designer label. It fit her
stunning body to perfection though. Strapless and black, it hugged her
voluptuous chest and slim waist, flaring at her hips before trailing down her
impossibly long legs all the way to the floor. It was simple, yet striking on
the woman. She wore no lavish jewels, instead keeping her accessories simple as
well. It was appealing to him considering he was with a woman who dripped in
jewels.

“Has someone caught your eye?”
Liona teased quietly.

Publicly, Lex had presented
Liona as his companion for quite some time. His fortune had made him a name in
the press since he was still a cub, and with a pride as large as his, it was
hard to avoid being seen with others. Thankfully, he was able to pass them off
as her sisters or his. The press occasionally made up stories of his playboy
philandering, but they always died down. It helped that all of his lionesses
shared many of the same physical traits.

When you were rich in the town
of Alpine, IN, then people took notice. The mogul could have pretended to sell
anything and it would have been believable, but the biggest industry in the
area was logging. He bought a saw mill and started to operate it showing where
he got all his money. He managed it and tried not to spend it like crazy so
people wouldn’t be suspicious that he had lots of money before the company.

He had given his pride money
and the freedom to invest and buy things as they saw fit within reason.
Sometimes, his lionesses would over spend and he had to discipline them. The
town knew they resided in the same house and thought they were some sort of
strange extended family so that’s what he allowed them to think. It was okay
for your family to have a strange living situation when you were rich then the
people in town simply accepted it.

This woman looked nothing like
them. Her long hair was dark, as were her eyes. Maybe that was the exact reason
she had caught his eye. She was the antithesis to everything he knew.

“She’s very pretty, but not
exactly your type,” Liona continued. “Do you want me to find out her name?”
Liona was familiar with the look he had when he lusted for someone, but this
was different somehow, and it gave him the idea that he should fix his face.

He shook his head, still
staring at his prey. “I know the woman beside her. I’ll introduce myself.”

“You can’t. It’s time for you
to give your speech so the auction can begin.”

Choking back an irritated
growl, Lex used the time it took to walk to the stage to clear his mood. Then,
he commanded the entire room through the microphone and spoke about the need to
protect endangered animals and what the endangered lands’ majestic wildlife,
such as lions and elephants, call home. When he finished, the ballroom erupted
in applause.

The entire time he’d been
speaking, he kept an eye on his prey. She didn’t move a single muscle. In fact,
she’d watched him with rapt fascination. As soon he left the stage, he made a
b-line straight for her, passing by any well-wishers foolish enough to miss the
look of determination on his face. The woman beside his prey noticed it, but
was intelligent enough to realize that he was headed toward her with a purpose.

“As always an inspiring speech,
Mr. King,” she said when he reached them.

He nodded and tried for a
gracious smile. “Thank you, Melissa. And, please, it’s Lex. I don’t believe
I’ve met your friend.”

“Oh, this is my younger sister,
Emma. She’s in town for the week to visit me, and I thought I’d dress her up
and bring her to your auction. She rarely gets out of her scrubs.”

Lex enveloped Emma’s hand with
his own, locking eyes with her. “It’s very nice to meet you, Emma. What field
of medicine do you practice?”

“I’m a vet, actually,” she
replied. “I’m sure people tell you this all the time, but I think what your
charity does is wonderful.”

“Thank you. Can I get you
something to drink?”

Her smile was very nearly the
loveliest sight he’d ever laid eyes on. “No, thank you. I actually don’t
drink.”

“Can I escort you around the
tables, then? Perhaps there’s something you’d like to bid on.”

This time, she glanced at her
sister before offering him another smile. “Um, I don’t really have the kind of
money to bid on anything tonight.”

Taking her hand, he tucked it
into the crook of his arm and directed her away from her sister. He then
proceeded to escort her around the perimeter of the ballroom where items up for
bidding were laid out. He attempted to entice her into letting him bid on a few
things for her, but she declined each and every time.

When the bidding was called to
a close, he refused to let her leave his side. Instead, he persuaded her out
onto the dance floor, uncaring how many eyes were on them. He didn’t even care
that there was a paid photographer documenting the event. He’d made up his mind
to have this woman, regardless that she was human and not like him. What others
thought didn’t matter in the least. There would be much talk about the dark
haired beauty he’d wooed that looked nothing like his lady love or her sisters.

He only left her long enough to
close the event, award items to the highest bidders, and thank everyone for
their generous donations to his charity. This time, when he descended the
stairs from the stage, however, he couldn’t find Emma. She’d somehow
disappeared into the crowd. As he scanned the faces closer, he realized her
sister was no longer present either.

A short time later, he was able
to breathe a little easier, back in the safe haven of the limo and on his way
home. His mood was darker than it should have been, however. Liona was silent
for a while, but then questioned him on his evening.

“You seemed to have a good time
tonight. That’s certainly a change from most functions you attend. I take it
you found some pleasant company?” He knew she was trying to get him to tell her
his feelings, but she should know by now he didn’t share them very freely with
anyone.

He growled low in his throat,
but didn’t pull his gaze from the scenery passing by the window.

“She’s human, Lex. How would
she fit with the pride? We aren’t made to interact with them, what would your
parents say if they were still alive? You probably already caused gossip
tonight spending as much time with her as you did,” she pressed.

“The pride is fine,” he
grumbled. He was very angry she had brought up his parents. She knew the right
buttons to push. Liona liked rough, angry sex, and he wouldn’t give her the
satisfaction of getting him all riled up.

Placing her hand on the side of
his face, she gently forced him to look at her. A brave move on her part, given
his mood. He didn’t spare her an angry glare.

“Yes, the pride is fine. We
take care of one another and we take care of you. What would a human woman add
to our pride?”

“It’s my pride, Liona,” he
growled. “I am the alpha lion. All of you belong to me, and if I choose to
bring someone new into the pride, then that is my choice. Is that clear?”

She averted her gaze to her lap
and nodded. “Yes, it’s clear.”

When he walked in the front
door, his faithful servant Eli was waiting to see if he needed anything. The
man had practically raised him and took care of him even now that he was the
alpha. Liona ran into a different room in the mansion and he sat down for a
night cap.

“I’m troubled Eli.”

“What’s wrong sir,” Eli dropped
some ice cubes in his glass before he handed it to him. Lex pinched the bridge
of his nose and sank into the cushions of the couch.

“I just feel like I’m at an
impasse in my life. The things that made me happy once don’t make me happy
anymore. I feel like I’m just going through the motions. I’m tired of the
politics, you know? I just want something different.”

“Perhaps a vacation is in order
sir,” Eli stood in front of the couch and steepled his fingers. Lex sipped on
his whiskey and smiled at his friend and caretaker.

“Perhaps it is time to change
things up a bit.” Lex winked at Eli and he left him alone to ponder in
solitude.
