Chapter 37

Cory

Josh was sleeping soundly in the hospital bed with all types of wires and monitors hooked up to his body. I was just glad to see him there and alive. He was the toughest guy I knew, and I was confident that he’d make a full recovery, probably way faster than the doctors could predict.

Jessie needed some alone time with him, and she’d pulled up a chair at his bedside. His hand was wrapped in hers as she looked down upon the man she loved.

I placed my hand on his shoulder. “Stay strong, bro. We need our Commander out there,” I said before making my way toward the door. I headed back down the corridor and out to the waiting area.

Sam and I hadn’t talked about anything yet, and she’d been quiet and stoic during our wait. After the super shitty day, I’d been insanely happy to see her beautiful face in the gloomy hospital. I’d made sure not to let that on to Sam though. I needed her to make the first move. I needed to know that she still wanted something, wanted us.

As I strode across the tiled entryway toward the waiting area, Sam looked up at me. Our gazes met, and her gorgeous eyes were flooded with emotion. Without a second’s hesitation she jumped up from her plastic chair and ran toward me. As she threw her long, thin arms around my neck I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her in close.

Her embrace tightened and she let out a quiet sob. “Today, on our way out here, all I could think about was how devastated I’d be if anything happened to you.” She glanced up at me with glossy eyes. “I was unfair, and I’m sorry. I know it’s only been a few days, but it feels like forever and I’ve missed you so much.” She wasn’t even pausing for breaths in between. “I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you for one minute. I want to hear your side of the story, and—”

I slammed my mouth down over hers and kissed her hard, forcing her to stop her frantic speech. “I’ve missed you too, baby,” I said when I finally pulled away from her lips. One side of my mouth tilted up in a smile as I looked down at her. “We’ll figure it all out, I promise. We’re going to be just fine.”

Chapter 38

Sam

Jessie had refused to leave Josh’s side, and after some crafty convincing, she’d gotten the staff to agree to let her spend the night in his room. One of the nurses even brought her a pillow and blanket so she could try and get some sleep on the unwieldy chair. Cory was hesitant about leaving at first, but after having spent the entire day in the hospital he’d decided to return to his hotel for a shower and some sleep. Not before assuring Josh, who was still unconscious, and Jessie that he’d be back first thing in the morning.

Cory and I had kissed, and the hole in my heart that had existed the past week was instantly filled. However, we still hadn’t really figured things out, and I wasn’t totally sure where we stood. I exited the hospital with Cory, and as I approached my car I realized I had no place to stay for the night, and it was already pretty late. I looked over at him. “Maybe I should just stay here tonight,” I said. “Jess may need the support, and I just realized that, unless I want to sleep in my car, I have no place to go.”

“What are you talking about? You’re coming with me, babe,” Cory stated. “And Jessie will be fine. You and I have some figuring out to do,” he added. My heart instantly fluttered at the fact that he’d just assumed I’d be going with him. Then I sank back to reality. I needed to know the truth about the photo before I could let myself fall under his spell again. I knew by the time we got to his hotel room it would be too late.

I tried to play it cool and leaned back against the driver’s door of my car. “I want to hear your explanation before anything else happens.”

Cory came up and leaned next to me. “Last week, I took my dirt bike and went riding with the guys at a local track. We always ride motocross on Thursdays. After we were done racing around, I rode back to my truck and saw someone in the cab. It was Megan. I had no idea she was even out there, and I was pissed as hell that she’d invited herself into my truck and assumed I wanted her. All that was on my mind was you, Sam. In fact, you are all that has  been on my mind since that first day we met.” He reached down and grabbed my hand.  “Anyways, I told Megan to fuck off and kicked her out of the truck. She was mad as hell that I’d turned her down and as she walked away she mentioned something about ‘having had fun with my phone’. I ignored her and never thought twice about the comment. I never even checked my phone. I had no idea that photo was there until you saw it.” He turned to face me and gazed down in a way that felt like he was gazing deep into my soul. I saw honesty in his expression.

“And that’s the truth. I would never hurt you, Sam. I know I have a shitty reputation for being that asshole who fucks girls and then leaves them. But it’s different.” He pointed back and forth between us. “This is different. I’ve never had a girl make me feel like this before. I can’t get enough of you, baby.” He seemed completely genuine and I was thrilled. I pushed up onto my tiptoes and kissed him.

“Fuck this goddamn key,” Cory exclaimed with frustration as he tried to get the hotel room door open. He slid the keycard in and immediately withdrew it. A red light blinked letting us know it was still locked.

I laughed and stretched my palm out. “Give it to me.” I slid the plastic card in the slot and slowly removed it. The green light flashed with triumph. “You need to learn some patience,
Mr. Steele
.” After I’d heard him referred to formally in the hospital, I’d realized I liked the sound of Mr. Steele.

He kicked the heavy door open, and swept me up in his muscular arms and carried me inside. “It’s been days since I’ve kissed you”—he gave me a deep, punishing kiss—“ touched you”—his hand slid down over the crotch of my jeans—“made you scream my fucking name.” He dropped me down in the center of the bed. “There’s no such thing as patience. I need you, and I need you now.”

He wasted no time in ripping my shirt off over my head, and sliding the snug jeans down my legs. I unhooked my bra as he reached back and yanked his own shirt off, throwing it aside. Cory dropped his pants to the floor and knelt on the mattress at my feet. He dragged his eyes up my legs and over my body to my face. The way he looked at me was so primal it was as if he was a predator ready to attack its prey. I squirmed under his stare, and bit my bottom lip in anticipation of his
attack
.

Cory’s rough fingertips brushed over my thighs and hips until they reached the waist of my panties. He slid his fingers beneath the fabric and yanked them down in one quick, fluid movement. His eyes fell to my exposed pussy and a groan left his throat. That sound combined with the way he was staring unabashedly at me made my already moist pussy even wetter.

His fingers trailed lightly through the cream. “God, baby, I’ve missed this pussy. Sexiest fucking thing I’ve ever seen.” He spread my thighs as wide as he could with his hands and scooted his face between them. Before I knew it his mouth was giving my pussy a tantalizing assault. His strong, delicious tongue plunged in and out of my most private area making me delirious with need. Meanwhile, his finger massaged my clit. He knew exactly what he was doing, and in a matter of minutes my body was at the edge. I was only a few strokes away from complete ecstasy when Cory removed his mouth and hand and sat up.

I let out an audible sigh of disappointment. Cory heard it and gave a sly grin. “Don’t you worry, baby. You’re going to fucking come. And you’re going to come harder than you ever have before. I need to feel your perfect pussy clench around my cock, baby. I need to feel your body spasm while I’m balls deep.”

His erotic words alone nearly pushed me over the steep ledge. My body writhed on the sheets as I awaited his full penetration. He rolled a condom down over his massive, stiff cock and climbed back onto the bed. He crawled between my trembling thighs and positioned himself at my entrance. His hand reached out and palmed my breast as he teased the tip of his cock around my pussy. His teasing was too much, I was going to lose control.

“Cory, please, fuck me now. I need your cock inside me. Right now!” I begged.

He looked down and watched as my pussy took in his entire rigid length. As he filled me all the way, I felt his balls tapping my ass. He withdrew and then filled me again. His sac slapped me from behind with each powerful thrust. A few strong thrusts and my body shattered into a million ecstasy-ridden pieces.

“That’s it, baby. Fuck yeah, your pussy feels so good,” he said as he continued pounding into me. I felt his already huge girth growing with each pass, and my pussy was filled more tightly every second. My body had no time to fall from the first orgasm before a second climax began mounting.

“Yes, Cory!” I cried out as my body once again reached the height of arousal. He reached down between us and his thumb rubbed my clit with precision. That was all it took. “Hell yes!” I screamed out as I came a second time, that time even harder than the first. My whole body twitched uncontrollably as my pussy milked Cory’s cock.

He leaned down closer and gave me a crazed, passionate kiss as he continued to push in and out of me at rapid speed. “Yeah, baby,” he whispered in my ear. “Fuck yeah,” he groaned as he slammed into my pussy hard one last time and lost all control.

The exhaustion of everything had caught up to us both, and in a matter of minutes we fell soundly asleep in each other’s arms.

Chapter 39

Cory

Despite the shitty circumstances, I was thrilled that Sam had come out. Having her in my arms again was exactly what I’d needed. We hadn’t known each other very long, so I know it was probably ridiculously early, but I was falling in love with her. When she was with me I felt whole, she completed me. She was the girl I’d been waiting for all these years. All those other women had just been placeholders in my search.

I glanced at the clock on the side table. 7:00AM. I would need to get back to the hospital soon. I was worried about Josh, and I needed to check in on him. I glanced over at Sam. She was sleeping peacefully. Yesterday had been a long stressful day for her as well, and she needed the rest. I decided I’d let her sleep and go over to the hospital on my own.

After I got dressed I scribbled a hasty ‘Be back soon’ note and placed it on the desk that was against the wall. I snuck out quietly and made sure to shut the door with as little sound as possible.

***

When I arrived at the hospital a nurse led me back through the secure doors to Josh’s room. I opened the door and peeked inside. Josh’s eyes were open and he acknowledged me and gave a slight nod down at Jessie. She was still sitting in the chair with her bottom but the top half of her body was bent over and her head rested on Josh’s hand. She was fast asleep in a position that had to be incredibly uncomfortable. I smiled at the scene. It was clear how crazy those two were about each other. I, too, knew how it felt to be crazy about a girl now.

I walked up to the Commander’s free side and lightly bumped my fist on his shoulder. “Glad to see you awake, bro. You gave us all a hell of a scare yesterday,” I said quietly in an effort not to disturb Jess.

“Yeah me too.” It was clear that he wasn’t back to his normal self yet, but that was to be expected. “Doc said I should make a full recovery,” he added. “Not sure what I’m recovering from though.”

I let out a soft chuckle. “That’s probably a good thing for now. Don’t want you shying away from your bike after this.”

“Never.” He lifted his free hand in a fist and I bumped it. “Thanks for being here, man.”

“No big deal,” I said casually, as if I hadn’t been scared shitless for him just hours before. “I’ll let you two get some rest.” I glanced down at Jessie. “You’re lucky to have her.”

Josh nodded in agreement. “Hell yeah,” he replied. I turned around and walked out. I needed to get back to my own girl.

Chapter 40

Sam

I reached up and rubbed my face as I groggily opened my eyes. I turned to my side, expecting to see Cory next to me, and found an empty bed. I sat up and looked around the room. The bathroom door was open and the light was off. Cory was gone.
Why would he leave without me?
I wondered. Maybe all he’d wanted was one more good fuck, I thought to myself. That idea made me feel sick. I took a deep breath and calmed myself down. There had to be a good explanation for his disappearance.
Oh god, what if something had happened at the hospital?
I jumped up out of bed and pulled my clothes on. I retrieved my phone from my purse and saw that it was dead, of course. I hurried over to the desk to grab a room key on my way out and spotted a short note on the hotel’s stationary ‘Be back soon’. My anxiety settled a bit at the fact that he’d had time to write a note, albeit a short and completely uninformative note.

I pulled the desk chair out and sat down to relax for a minute. As I combed my fingers back through my long hair I heard the click of the door unlocking. I turned and Cory pushed the door open and stepped inside. He was balancing two paper coffee cups in one hand and held a white bakery bag with the other.

He smiled when he saw me. “Good morning, babe.” He sounded happy, almost chipper, and I was relieved to hear it.

“Hey,” I said. “Where’d you run off to this morning?”

“Went to the hospital, and then I figured, after our
busy
night, you might be ready for some breakfast.” He set a coffee down in front of me, and its rich aroma stimulated my senses and woke me fully. He placed the white bakery bag behind it.

I looked up at him. “How is Josh?” I wrapped my hand around the steamy cup of coffee.

“He was awake, and I think he’s going to be just fine. The doctor said he expects a full recovery.” I could see the relief in Cory’s expression. The tension and concern of the previous day had been washed away.

I was relieved too. “Thank god. I’m so glad to hear that. Jessie must be thrilled.” I reached out to the white paper bag. “So what kind of breakfast are we having?” I reached blindly inside and pulled out a crumbly muffin. “Ooh blueberry is my favorite.” I broke a piece off the top and stuck it between my lips.

Cory smiled. “I had a feeling you were a blueberry muffin kinda girl. Although, after the reception my last delivery attempt received I was a little skeptical.”

I blushed with embarrassment as I thought back on the harsh way I’d treated him when he’d brought coffee and pastries to Beely’s. “I’m sorry.” I looked down at the table.

Cory put his fingers beneath my chin and lifted my face to him. “Don’t be sorry. Just know that I only make special breakfast deliveries to girls that I love. Actually, you’re the first girl to receive one, and hopefully the last. I love you, Sam.”

I felt tears forming in my eyes as my heart swelled with emotion. “I love you too,” I said. I stood and threw my arms around his neck. He kissed me, and the intensity of his kiss made me weak in the knees. I pulled back and put on a serious expression. “And I promise never to decline another muffin delivery for as long as I shall live.” He laughed and pulled me into his arms as his mouth came down over mine.
