“It’s not like that,” Cayson
answered.

“Yeah, right.”

Destiny took an empty seat next to Cayson’s mother. He watched as everyone descended upon Destiny, introducing themselves and asking her questions.

Everyone loved her.
She bestowed dazzling smiles on each person. But when her gaze landed on him, she rolled her eyes.

Ouch!

He decided to lay low and not make a scene. After all, this trip was about Dane and Charly. He wouldn’t be the one to ruin their wedding. He would have his chance to talk to Destiny, and when he did, he’d make damn sure she listened to what he had to say.

Cayson took a final swig of his beer.  After a belly stuffing dinner, his father had made a celebratory toast, which was followed by more toasts. Soon, dinner had turned into a drink fest.  His parents and the ladies had gone to bed hours ago. The Sullivan Brothers stayed up drinking beers and reminiscing. Cayson had outdrank them, but he wondered if their hearts were ever in it. Mark had thrown in the towel an hour ago. The fool wanted to be with Kendra anyway. And Dane couldn’t hold his liquor as well as he used to. Since Charly didn’t drink, he’d been abstaining too.

“Can we go now?” Mark
groaned. He laid on his elbows across the table looking like he’d pass out any minute.

“Aw, quit your bitchin’,” Cayson goaded. “There was a time when both of you could drink me under the table.”

“Yeah, that was about two hours ago, but you don’t have the good sense to know when to give up.”

Dane added, “Don’t be too hard on
Cayson, bro. We’ve got warm bodies to cozy up to. He’s got his hand.”

Cayson gave a sad shake of his head as his brothers howled with drunken laughter.
“What happened to your sense of adventure?”

Mark
stood. “I left it in my bedroom–with my wife.”

Dane
joined him. “Mine grew up, like you need to do. See ya, dude.”

Cayson
sat alone pondering his next move. He wasn’t the least bit sleepy. In fact, his senses were on high alert.  He knew he should head to his bungalow, but he didn’t want to sleep alone tonight. Plenty of women had thrown flirtatious glances his way, but he wasn’t looking for just any woman. He had a specific one in mind, and he wouldn’t be satisfied until he was deep inside her. He made his way to Destiny’s bungalow and knocked softly.

She opened the door weary a
short robe that stopped just above her kneecaps. Damn, she had fantastic legs. He wondered how the smooth skin would feel beneath his fingertips. His gaze dropped to her bare feet. Her toes were painted a vibrant red that matched her personality. He must have stared so long, she finally spoke. “Well?”

His eyes met hers.
He tried to suppress the ache he felt for her. He’d never wanted her more badly than at this moment. “Destiny, I’m sorry.”

S
he sniffed the air. “Have you been drinking?”

He nodded. “It was the o
nly way I could forget about you.”

Did it work?”

No.  No matter what I do, I can’t forget about you. You dominate my thoughts day and night.” He hoped he didn’t sound like an idiot groveling at her door in the middle of the night. He’d tried every other strategy.  Now, only the truth would suffice.

Her expression softened
. “What do you want from me, Cayson?”

Everything.”

His heart palpitated, waiting for her response.
Their attraction to each other was undeniable.  He felt it every time she looked at him.

I’ll give you credit. You always say what’s on your mind.”

“Yes,
I do. And right now, what’s on my mind is what color panties you’re wearing.”

Her pretty lips curved into a slight smile. “I
’m not wearing any.”

The knowledge made his dick hard as
granite. He stepped inside her bungalow and closed the door behind him.

Chapter 11

Cayson barely made it through the door before he pushed Destiny against a nearby wall. “Spread your legs,” he ordered.

Destiny did as she was told, feeling the warm rush of heat between her legs. When
Cayson’s fingers slipped past her robe and trailed down her pubic hair, she bit her lip in anticipation. She’d lain in bed half the night, burning at her core, feverish for his touch. And now he was here to rescue her from herself. He never disappointed her.

As his mouth slanted across hers, she eagerly offered him
full access.  She clawed at his back as he grinded against her.  She craved his kisses. Longed to feel the liquid heat that snaked straight to her coochie when he touched her. She could deny it until she was blue in the face, but the facts were the facts–she wanted Cayson Sullivan.  Right now, she didn’t care if he thought of her as just another conquest.

His long fingers pushed inside her slick wetness. She heard her
own whimper of surrender. There was no turning back now. Pleasure spiraled through her as he repeatedly thrust two fingers back and forth between the sensitive lips of her pussy. She bucked against his hand.

“Ooh. Feels so good,” she cooed.

He dropped to one knee and began licking her clitoris.  His slow, tortuous strokes nearly drove her over the edge. He hooked one of her knees over his shoulder for better access. If not for the support of the wall behind her, there was no way in hell she could have performed a one-legged balancing act.

Her legs shook as she felt the first wave of her orgasm. Cayson didn’t let up. His tongue moved faster, flicking across the sensitive nub. All the while, his fingers were stroking her, building up a fast-paced rhythm that made her clutch fistfuls of his hair.

“Oh God. Oh God!” her voice shattered the air. A flash of heat consumed her as the throbbing between her legs burst into a full-blown explosion.

She sagged against him. She barely registered the fact that he’d picked her up and carried her to her bed. She lay, exhausted looking up at him.
He hovered above her, pulling at her lips with tender kisses. Still in a daze from his trek downtown, she tasted her salty essence on his lips.

He
dragged his mouth from hers and then lavished her breasts with kisses. He alternated between sucking her nipples and nipping the hard buds with the edges of his teeth.  She cried out in ecstasy.

His dark gaze captured hers. “
I need you, Destiny.”

She felt the anguish in his confession. His voice was
hoarse, like he was in pain. She unfastened the buttons on his shirt and pushed the garment from his shoulders. She needed him too. Needed to feel him inside her. To know what it was like. Would they have a connection? Would she feel differently toward him afterward?

She watched as he u
nzipped his pants and pulled his underwear down. The length of his hard, thick cock sprang forward, glistening like marble. She caressed it, amazed by the thick width and long size of it. To think, within moments, this would be inside her. Would it bring her pleasure? Would Cayson Sullivan be a good lover? He had to be. How else would he have so many women lusting after him?

Destiny
held her breath as he pulled a condom from his back pocket and sheathed himself. She would know soon. She gazed up at him. Their eyes locked as he paused at her entrance. He must have read the fear there. “I promise you nothing but pleasure,” he husked.

She nodded, silently giving him permission.
She was ready. She’d been horny for him since this afternoon when she’d left him on the beach. No, since before that. She’d been attracted to him almost from the beginning. She’d ached for his touch. Now, she wanted to know what it felt like to be fucked.

Cayson
plunged forward, driving to the hilt. Destiny screamed. His eyes looked up frantic. Now, he knew her secret.

It was like derailing a train.
Cayson withdrew partially. Then, everything came to a screeching halt. His accusatory glare hurt her. “Why didn’t you tell me?” he demanded. He looked like he didn’t know what to do. Hadn’t he ever slept with a virgin?

“Keep going,” she told him. “I want to know y
ou in every way.”

Damn, Destiny. Why me?”

He wiped a tear that trickled down her cheek.
“I want you to be the first, Cayson. Please, don’t stop.”

He hung his head and let out a deep sigh.
She felt his body tense with hesitation. She’d come this far. She didn’t want to turn back now. She clenched her legs around his back, pulling him deeper into her pussy, knowing he wouldn’t be able to resist. And she was right. A pained look crossed his features before rapture took over. Her tight walls loosened up as he thrust forward. At that moment, his demeanor shifted. He stroked deep and hard as he relentlessly pounded into her. She gritted her teeth, fighting past the discomfort.  Soon, the pain gave way to a pleasurable rhythm. She arched her hips and moved with him, matching his pace.

Within seconds, his body trembled above hers. He grunted in satisfaction as he came.
Soon after, he rolled off her, and turned his back to her. Was it her imagination, or was he angry with her? She didn’t get a chance to ask him. Minutes later, she went to the bathroom. When she emerged, he’d left the room. Earlier, he’d given her pleasure. It seemed all she’d been able to give him was anger.

********

Cayson sat
mute in a wicker chair. From his vantage point on the lanai of Dane’s suite, he surveyed an endless stretch of white sands bordered by the crystal blue waters of the Indian Ocean. The salt-water breeze teased his nostrils, beckoning him to take a dip in the warm waters. But he didn’t feel like swimming right now. He felt like sitting here feeling sorry for himself.

“Are you going to wallow in your self-imposed misery all day?”  Dane asked, as he joined Cayson on the
lanai, one glass of papaya juice in each hand.

“Ma
ybe.”

Dane handed him a glass before sitting in the chair next to him.  “Well, can you wallow quicker? Charly’s waiting for me, and I don’t need
to piss her off the day before our wedding. You know how sensitive brides can be.”

Charly had taken her kids snorkeling earlier that morning. Dane was supposed to join them, but Cayson had woken him up at the crack of dawn to have a brotherly talk.
Cayson grunted. “Seeing as how I’ve never been married, and probably never will get married, no–I don’t know.”

“For the record, I want you to know that the wallowing scale has gone up one
notch. And it’s in direct correlation with the bonehead jackass meter.”

Cayson cut a glance at him. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

Dane sipped his juice, taking his time before responding. “You’re acting like a jackass. A beautiful woman gets dropped into your lap—”

“More like court-ordered into my lap.”

“Whatever.” He swatted the air.  “You’ve two obviously have chemistry. The fact that she’s a virgin shouldn’t matter.”

Was
a virgin.”

Was a virgin.  So what? You’ve popped cherries before. What’s the big deal?”

Cayson s
tared at the sun climbing higher into the sky. He never got to see the sunrise in St. Louis. He was too busy working. He glanced at Dane who was enjoying the same spectacular scenery. “No,” he answered.  “Not really.”

Dane
eyeballed him, mouth agape. “You never had a virgin? All the women you’ve screwed?”

“Every female
I had sex with was experienced.”

Even when you were in high school?”

Hell yeah. Shit, some of those girls taught me a thing or two!”

“No wonder you’re such a pussy hound. Your
generation is loose-moraled.”

Hey, you’re only ten years older than me.”

Dane grinned.  “A
lot can happen in a decade, bro. Regardless, did her being a virgin take away any of the pleasure? Is that why you’re so damn moody?”

Now it was Cayson’
s turn to take his time responding. He’d wanted to impress Destiny with his lovemaking skills. The irony was she had no clue of all the work that had gone into his seduction. The moment he encountered the barrier between her legs, he felt…shameful. Guilty. Then, he got mad. She was so sexy, so flirtatious. The way she looked at him. The way her body responded to him. There was no way she could be a virgin. He felt as though she’d tricked him. Furious, he’d pumped, driving himself into her–harder, deeper, faster. He’d tried to rid himself of his frustration. It hadn’t worked. Now, his body craved her even more.

It was off-the-chain pleasurable.  It’s just she couldn’t appreciate my prowess. I wanted to rock her world. Be the best she ever had. I guess knowing she was a virgin took all of the air out of my performance.”

Dane ch
ortled. “Because she had nothing to compare it to?”

“Exactly.”
Cayson shrugged.  “Virgins are…different. Almost sacred. I felt like an old codger tempting a kid with candy in the school yard.

Nichole was a virgin when I met her.”

Cayson was
still a teenager when Dane married his first wife, Nichole, who died in a tragic accident over ten years ago. Nobody in the family thought Dane would recover from that life-altering event until he met Charly. “How did you handle it?”

“I was young. T
wenty-three when we met and twenty-five when we married. She was twenty-one. I didn’t think it was unusual at all.”

Destiny is twenty-four.”

That’s still relatively young. It’s not like she’s the forty-year-old virgin.”

“I don’t know.” Cayson shook his hea
d. “In some ways, I feel like I’m not worthy. Why’d she pick me?”

Dane slapped him on the knee.  “Man, you should be glad
she chose you to be her first. Destiny could have had any man she wanted. She’s freakin’ gorgeous.”

“This is too much pressure,” Cayson said, staring off into t
he horizon again, as if some epiphany was waiting to be uncovered.

“The deed is done, bro. The pressure should be off. Now it seems as though y
ou’re punishing her for saving herself. That ain’t right.”

He met his brother’
s chastising gaze.  “Well, how do you think this whole thing has affected me? I feel like I need to marry her or something.”

Remember when I was afraid to date Charly?  You gave me some good advice. I’m going to return the favor. Stop being an ass. Destiny doesn’t strike me as the type of woman who expects marriage from you. You’re both consenting adults. She wanted it. God knows you wanted it, if the way you were watching her every move last night was any indication. You both got what you wanted. End of story.”  Dane stood.  “Now, if you’ll excuse me, my fiancée and my step kids are waiting. And unlike some folks, I’m smart enough to realize when I have a good thing.”

Cayson stood too and followed Dane back through their spacious honeymoon suite. He should be
focusing on the positives, he knew. There was no turning back now. His relationship with Destiny would never be the same, no matter how much he tried to pretend otherwise. “You know, despite how bad I feel about being her first, I want to do it again. I just can’t keep my hands off her. Does that make me an asshole?”

A sly grin eased from Dane’s lips.  “
No, it makes you a horny ass man, just like all the rest of us.”
