Jamie sucked in a breath and coughed then said, “That’s Kelly! What the hell is going on here?”

Darren said, “The Kelly from your story? The one you were seeing a couple times a month who took you to the tattoo parlor to get the Prince Albert?”

Jamie said, “Yes, that’s the same Kelly. What the hell is that?”

Jamie leaned closer to the screen and saw it was a newspaper article from a court hearing eight years before. Tyson Haskell had raped and tattooed two young men in the exact same way as that had happened to Jamie. He had been found guilty and served almost six years of his fifteen year term down in Atlanta, Georgia. Marge, his mother and Kelly, his sister, had moved themselves away from Georgia as soon as he was out of prison. The rest of the article talked about a previous case, when he was just eighteen years old, almost fifteen years ago, where he had done something similar, but that time he had only used markers to draw on the “tattoos” because at the time he had not been a tattoo artist. He learned that particular skill in prison.

Chris turned the monitor around to face him again and typed something else and when he finally found it, he froze and looked up at Darren and said, “Would you please come around here and look at this?”

Darren stood and walked around the desk and Jamie started to as well, but Chris stopped him. “I am sorry Jamie, but these are rape victim photos and I can’t let you see them.”

Jamie nodded and sat back down. He had had a hard enough time letting Chris see the tattoo and letting him take pictures for evidence and he knew what that type of violation felt like and he was not about to look at other victim photographs. He wasn’t about to make them feel violated again, even though they would likely never know.

Darren came back around the desk and sat down heavily. “Can you call the Atlanta PD and get those files out here please, photos and all. Also, if they would consent to come, I would like to talk to, if not meet, all of his former victims.”

Chris nodded and picked up his phone.

Darren turned to Jamie and said, “I am really very sorry to have to ask you this, but will it be possible to show me the tattoos? I need to see them myself rather than just pictures and if this is what I think it is, then I will need a doctor in here later to do some tests. If that is okay with you.”

Jamie looked at Chris and saw him looking at him. Chris nodded gently with tears in his eyes as he talked on the phone and Jamie sighed, wiping his own eyes on the sleeve of Chris’s hoodie that he was still wearing from the night before.

Jamie turned back to Darren and said, “Yeah. But can I shower first? Trust me, you don’t want to look down there otherwise.” He gave a small weak smile that he barely held onto.

Darren laughed softly and said, “I would appreciate that, and you are right. I really don’t want to look anyway, but I need to. I will call the doctor right now if you wish and have him meet us here and you can go shower, or we can eat first, then you can go shower.”

Jamie’s stomach growled right at that moment and everyone laughed, including Chris who was just putting down his phone. “I guess that means we eat first.” He looked at Darren and said, “Copies of the files are being overnighted but in the meantime, we are getting electronic copies of them emailed to me right now.”

Chris stood up and walked over to the box of food to start pulling it all out when Jamie jumped up and said, “Wait!”

He ran over to the box as Chris stepped back and Jamie looked inside the box. “Chris, the wrappings and containers should not look like this.” He opened a couple of containers and sniffed after examining them and said, “The food should not look or smell like this either. Something is wrong here.”

Chris grabbed the box of food and walked it back to the evidence room and locked it up. He then grabbed up his phone and called his deputies and told them all to come in, that their day off had been cancelled.

He then ordered ten large pizzas and Darren in the meantime called the doctor in. Moments after the pizza arrived the doctor and the deputies all showed up within minutes. Everyone dug into the pizzas but no one talked about what was going on until everyone had eaten their fill.

Chris stood up then and said to the deputies, “Okay guys. We have a bit of a problem here. You all know Jamie. This is District Attorney Darren Williams and Doctor Jim Hughes. Something happened to Jamie a couple years ago that is finally being handled and it appears the man we are after has accomplices and have figured out we know something is going on. In fact, we ordered food from Jamie’s bar and it appears to have been tampered with, possibly poisoned. The doctor here will be leaving with the food shortly and I want Deputy Clark to accompany him to his lab. There he will be testing the food. Deputy Smith and Deputy Jamison, I want you two to remain here until I give you the word.”

He turned and motioned for Jamie, Doctor Hughes and Darren to follow him. Jamie, Darren and Doctor Hughes followed Chris back to the showers. The doctor went into the shower room with Jamie and handed him a small bottle and whispered instructions in his ear. Then the doctor rejoined Chris and Darren in the hallway and waited for Darren to do what needed to be done.

After twenty minutes he called out and the three entered the room where Jamie stood self-consciously with a towel loosely draped around his waist. Chris squeezed his shoulder and smiled encouragingly at him then held the towel when Jamie took it off and handed it to him. He then bent over the bench as he had before and waited.

After a moment Doctor Hughes said, “Excuse me Sheriff, but would you mind helping us out here? Jamie can’t exactly spread his own cheeks without falling over or lying down and this will be easier if he is still upright. You don’t mind do you Jamie?”

Jamie said, “No. Go ahead Chris.”

Chris took a deep breath and tossed the towel onto the floor and basically draped his upper body over the top of Jamie’s back and did as he was asked, Jamie’s head lodged between his thighs. Now Jamie would know, because there was no way to hide it. He had a raging erection and it was pulsating against the top of Jamie’s head. He felt Jamie shudder and push upwards with his head and rub slightly. Chris nearly bit his tongue to keep from groaning in pleasure.

Meanwhile, the doctor did a full rectal exam then took some skin samples from just inside the opening of Jamie’s anus before he took multiple pictures. He even slid Chris’s fingers down and slipped the tips of his forefingers into Jamie’s asshole and instructed him to stretch the hole open whereupon the doctor took a few more pictures of just inside. When he was done with his full exam, Darren stepped up and examined the tattoos and looked to where the doctor pointed out where the tattoo needle had slipped inside of Jamie during the process and had even left tattoo marks on his inside. When he was done examining the tattoo for himself he took multiple pictures and even video with commentary from both him and the doctor.

They all finally moved away and Jamie was able to finally stand up and his entire body was nearly brick red with embarrassment.

Doctor Hughes said, “Jamie, I appreciate your cooperation and the indignity you had to suffer here today for this, and for what you suffered while going through all of this.” Here he waved his hand in the general direction of Jamie’s ass. I am going back out there now to join Deputy Clark and will get this stuff all back to my lab and get back in touch with you later gentlemen. Thank you.” He shook their hands and left.

Darren said, “I am going to go back out there and brief the Deputy on what he will need to do for this evidence to get there safely. I will see you both back out there.” With that he turned and left as well.

Jamie stood there for a moment and looked at Chris who watched him with a guilty expression on his face.

Jamie asked, “What was that Chris?”

Chris shrugged and said, “Oh hell Jamie. You know I have loved you since we were kids. I was heartbroken when I had to leave.”

Jamie considered a moment then walked over to Chris, still completely naked, and now with a very large erection. He pressed his body up against Chris, grabbed him by the back of the head and brought him in close. “Is this what you want Sheriff?”

Chris moaned and said, “I won’t do anything you don’t want and I refuse to take advantage of you in this vulnerable situation.” He paused a moment then said, “But I will do this.” He pushed his face the last remaining inch between them and kissed Jamie, slowly at first, then with more force and passion.

Suddenly Jamie tore his head away and stepped back saying, “Not now Chris. If you want me, if you want this, you know what I want. Prove it. Oh and it doesn’t happen, no matter the proof, until this is all settled, do you understand me?”

Chris nodded and said, “I don’t want a fling Jamie. I want it all. I want you, me, one house, one life, dogs and kids, maybe even a cat or two. Equal everything. I have no interest in being here for you to just have sex with, is that understood?”

Jamie reached out and grabbed Chris’s hand, dragged him over to him and said, “That’s what I want too, but you need to prove to me you really tried. I know that shouldn’t matter, but I barely trust anyone anymore, not even my own mother.”

Chris nodded and said, “You got it.”

MANHUNT

Two weeks later and Jamie had left his house and was now at the bar. The doctor had found poison in the food and Darren had issued arrest warrants for Marge, Tyson and his sister Kelly. They had gone into hiding, but from what they could determine, they had not left town. They were hiding somewhere within town and now Jamie was walking around with a fulltime bodyguard as was his mother. He had had to finally tell his mother what was going on, but he had watered it down a great deal. She just knew that he had been assaulted two years ago and been set up by his then “pseudo-girlfriend” Kelly. He told her that their mother had helped set things up too. It was hard for her to swallow that Marge, the same woman who helped her out in the diner every once in a while and went to charity events with her, was in on this. He had also told her that Marge had of course tried to kill him, the District Attorney and Chris by poisoning them with food from his own business.

Marge had left the Sheriff’s precinct and never gone back to the bar. Luckily for Jamie, she had not stolen anything before she left either, but Chris had insisted on searching the place from top to bottom. He had even gone to their houses and each one of their businesses. In three of the locations he had found poorly constructed makeshift bombs, but they would not have caused too much in the way of damage, much less loss of life. They must have been watching TV shows for their placements were horrible and the bombs might have hurt someone, but for the most part, they were duds.

Now the entire town was on the lookout for the three. Their house was being watched as was the tattoo parlor. It had been shut down, but things like that never stopped people from going back, especially stupid and desperate people.

Jamie stood behind the bar as he poured a coffee for his bodyguard and startled when he heard glass shattering right before he was sprayed with blood. His bodyguard’s head erupted as the bullet tore through one side of it before it made a gruesome exit out the other. Jamie stared for a second then hit the floor as more bullets flew around, some striking his customers. When the bullets stopped, he heard a car scream away as sirens wailing in the distance drew closer.

Jamie refused to get up from the floor, but instead reached up under the register where he kept a 9mm and pulled it out. A few long minutes of tense silence later as he heard his patrons groaning or crying he heard Chris's muffled shouts of, “Jamie! Jamie, are you okay?”

Jamie stood up, gun in hand hanging by his side and looked at the doorway, just as it crashed open. Chris and his deputies piled inside, guns out aiming everywhere at once. When they saw the carnage around them they all rushed in to help the wounded. After a brief inspection of everyone, they determined the only death was Jim Harold, the bodyguard.

Jamie sat on a barstool, his gun in an evidence box so they could rule it out, though it was obvious the damage had been done by a rifle. Jamie stared at the mess around him, trying to take it all in, starting when a hand landed heavily on his shoulder. He looked up into Chris’s eyes and gave him a sad weak smile. At that moment his mother came running in, her arm bound up. Jamie jumped up and ran over to her.

“Mom, what happened?” asked Jamie terrified.

“Someone shot up the diner and killed four people inside,” she said. I was shot in the arm, but I heard it happened here too so I rushed over.” She turned to Chris and said, “We could use some more help at the diner if you can spare it.”

Chris nodded and pulled his phone out and called the State Police. He then sent Deputy Clark over to the diner as Jamie and his mother were rushed off in an ambulance with the promise from Chris that he would follow as soon as he had finished up at the bar and the diner.

Jamie paced back and forth in the waiting room as his mother’s arm was operated on. He was still wearing the clothes covered in Jim’s blood and brain matter when Chris came in with a few evidence bags and a fresh pair of clothes for him. Chris walked up to the nurse’s desk and asked for a private room where he could get Jamie changed and get the clothing into evidence, preferably one with a shower so Jamie could clean up.

Jamie followed Chris into the room the nurse showed them to and Chris shut the door and leaned against it heavily staring at Jamie with fear in his eyes. Jamie started to peel off his clothes but Chris stopped him and said, “I need to do this. I have to preserve any evidence that might provide any clues.”
