It was a beautiful morning and Jenny was fed up with Renee moping around the house. She didn’t want to go anywhere lately and didn’t even want to take Michael out for his daily walks. When she walked into the parlor and saw Renee sitting there slumped in the chair, she’d had enough.

“Come on, honey, let’s take Michael for a stroll and have something to eat at that little diner on Main Street. The food is delicious and I want to get out for a while. We could all use some fresh air.”

Renee responded in a toneless, flat voice without looking at her aunt. “Ask Susanna to go. I’m just going to sit here for a while. Besides, Michael is sleeping.”

Giving up, Jenny went to find Susanna. She agreed with Jenny that Renee needed help and they decided to push her in the right direction. Susanna took Jenny over to Jaz’s house, thinking Jaz was the most devious of them all. Jaz was thrilled to meet Jenny and loved her on sight. She told Jenny how sad Renee got when talking about Mick the other day and wholeheartedly agreed that they needed to do something. The three of them put their heads together and came up with a plan.

Renee didn’t know what was so important that Jaz needed her to come over. And Jaz insisted on picking her up, which confused Renee even more. Jaz explained to Renee that she didn’t want her driving home alone later at night when it was dark.

Jaz took Renee into the kitchen and told her to sit down. Renee wondered why Jaz kept checking her watch. “Is JD late or something? You seem a little nervous.”

“No. He had club business to handle tonight.”

Renee pointed at the lit candle and wine bottle with glasses sitting on the table. “Oh, you poor thing! You had a romantic dinner planned.”

Just then, the doorbell rang and Jaz looked relieved as she got up to answer it.

Mick was on his way over to Jaz’s house. Jaz said she needed help with something and he was the only one who could solve her problem. He thought it was a little odd but nonetheless, he headed on over. He loved Jaz and would do anything in his power to help her whenever she needed it. When he arrived, he rang the doorbell and was greeted by Jaz, who had her coat on and was leaving.

“What’s up, Jaz? Are we going somewhere?” He turned around and was going to walk back out to his truck when Jaz grabbed him by his arm. She pulled him into the house and shoved him in the right direction.

“I am,” she said. “
You’re
needed in the kitchen. It’s very important to me, so go see what you can do to fix it. I’ll be at the clubhouse. JD is waiting for me. I left supper for you on the stove. Gotta go.” She smiled and waved goodbye, then hurried out the door.

Mick stood there, baffled by her odd behavior. Why invite him over, then leave suddenly when he showed up?
Women!
He’d never understand them. Curious, he walked into the kitchen and stopped dead.

Renee was sitting at the table that had a lit candle on it.

“Renee …”

She let out a little gasp. Her hand flew to her chest when she saw Mick standing there.

Mick looked at her flustered face and let out a bark of laughter. “I guess we were both played in my sister’s little game, huh?”

Renee tried to calm herself. “I—I had no idea,” she stammered as she grasped the edge of the table with both hands.

“I know, babe. Neither did I, but I can’t say I’m disappointed.” Mick smiled at her as he walked closer to the table. “Are you?”

Renee was elated to hear him say that. She lowered her eyes to her lap before she softly said, “No.”

Mick sat down next to her. “Well, darlin’, I’ll drink to that.” He opened the bottle of Pink Catawba and poured Renee and himself a glass.

He studied Renee’s face, wondering what she was thinking. He knew he needed to tread carefully with Renee and not scare her away when all he wanted to do was rip her clothes off and fuck her ‘til she screamed out in ecstasy.

“I missed you, babe. Look, I know I told you I want to be here for my kid, but truth is, I kinda liked having you around too. No other woman ever got to me like you did. Do you think we can start over? Take it nice and slow? Hell, I’ll even take you to the movies some night.”

Mick grinned his devilishly handsome smile at Renee and it made her all warm and tingly inside. Renee lifted the glass of wine to her mouth while taking in his handsome face. Memories came flooding back to her. His arms holding her tight, his lips kissing hers, and his rock hard body on top of hers as they made love in that tiny shack. When Renee replied, her eyes were sparkling and full of hope.

“To tell you the truth, I’ve been over to visit Holly, and I saw how she lives a normal life away from the club. And Jaz and JD are happy enough, so… I thought, maybe… I mean…” Renee took a deep breath. “Maybe it can work for us too…?”

Mick knew he had been given a second chance with Renee and he was going to do his best not to screw it up. Seeing Renee’s hopeful eyes, he replied, “We’ll make it work, babe, I promise.”

Renee was deliriously happy to hear he missed her. Suddenly, nothing else mattered. Right then and there, she decided she was going in headfirst and where she fell, oh well, Mick would just have to catch her. She would take a page from Aunt Jenny’s book: live life and screw regrets.

Feeling bold, her inhibitions relaxed after having had that glass of wine, she got up, walked over to Mick, and bent down to kiss his lips. If Mick was surprised, he didn’t show it. He pulled her down onto his lap and wrapped his arms around her. He deepened his kiss until they were both trembling. Renee ran her hands through Mick’s hair, down over his back, and up his chest. His body felt wonderful, better than she had remembered. She felt a fevered flush spread through her aching body. She wanted him so bad. She wanted him more than she ever did. Nothing mattered anymore.
If only we can make a new start …

The words just came out of her mouth:
“I want you, Mick.”

Mick silently thanked God he always carried a condom. He hurriedly grabbed it from his back pocket, thinking the last thing Renee needed was to get pregnant again. Mick swooped Renee up in his arms and carried her into Jaz’s spare bedroom. He stood her next to the bed and started undressing her, tugging hard and popping buttons as he went along. Renee was undressing Mick just as frantically, their arms flying back and forth while rubbing their bodies against each other in desperate need.

He picked her up and laid her on the bed and followed her down, his huge body covering hers like a blanket. He lowered his lips once again, his tongue licking at the seam of her lips until she opened her mouth. His skillful tongue thrust deep, retreating then thrusting again, over and over, until Renee responded just the way he wanted. His hands roamed over her lush body with his sensual lips following closely in their wake. His tongue swirled little circles around Renee’s pink, beaded nipples, his teeth gently nipping until Renee was moaning and writhing beneath him, silently begging him for more.

His head moved lower still, until his hot tongue found her moist, delicious pussy. The delicate touch made Renee inhale sharply. His tongue stroked her ultrasensitive flesh over and over before inserting a finger into her throbbing core. Renee moaned, spreading her legs wider apart. Her body was on fire with need.

“You’re so hot and wet for me, baby,” Mick growled in a low, raspy voice. He was having a hard time holding back when his throbbing dick wanted to be buried to the hilt in her tight pussy.

When his tongue lapped over her clit lightly, she cried out in a fevered need, “Oh, God! Please, Mick! I need you now. It’s been so long.”

He rolled the condom on in record speed and buried his hard, throbbing cock inside of her in one long stroke. When Renee wrapped her legs around his hips and pulled him tighter against her, he started pumping faster and harder.

“Oh my God, Mick! It feels so wonderful,” Renee cried out with a broken voice.

She screamed out her release soon after, and Mick followed close behind, groaning out her name. When he finally got his breathing under control, he grinned. “So much for taking it nice and slow, babe.”

Renee was deliriously happy, basking in the afterglow of their love making. She didn’t want to go home. She loved being with Mick and wanted to stay with him forever. All of a sudden, she froze, and then came her tears.

Mick frowned, wondering what was wrong. “What is it, baby?”

Renee couldn’t speak. She was overwhelmed with emotion at seeing Mick’s addition to his tattoo. She ran her finger over her son’s name, which was close to Mick’s heart, and she didn’t miss the significance of the tiger cub surrounded by the fierce tiger’s paws. She whispered softly, “I love your tattoo.”

“I’m glad. I love it, too.” Mick brushed his hand over Renee’s sweet butt, wanting nothing more than to plunge into her warmth one more time, but thought she might be too sore. He also knew if he didn’t get Renee out of that bed fast, he would be fucking her again, sore or not.

“Jaz left supper for us. And considering we’ve worked up quite an appetite,” he added, winking at her, “let’s go have something to eat.” He gave Renee another long kiss. “Come on.” He pulled Renee up and helped her get dressed before putting his own clothes back on. He smiled. “Looks like your blouse is missing a button or two.”

Renee giggled. “So’s your shirt.”

In the kitchen, Mick found two plates sitting on a food warmer on the counter. He lifted up the tin foil. “What do you think this is?” He eyed the food skeptically.

Renee took a quick peek. “Silly. It’s meatloaf and mashed potatoes. I love meatloaf.”

Mick carried the two plates over to the table and handed Renee the eating utensils. He sat down and looked over his plate. It didn’t look too bad, so he put a forkful of the mashed potatoes in his mouth and had a hard time swallowing. The consistency was like a pasty glue.

Renee widened her eyes at Mick after she tasted the first forkful of meatloaf. They both burst out laughing at the same time. “I’ll find a plastic bag and, after I scrape the food into it, you can load the dishes into the dishwasher. I can’t believe her cooking didn’t improve any!”

Mick looked at Renee and joked once again. “I don’t think the neighbor’s dog will even eat this stuff.”

Aunt Jenny kept looking at the cuckoo clock on the parlor wall. It was getting late and Renee still wasn’t home. She tried reading a book, but couldn’t concentrate, so she got up and started pacing the room. She hoped her plan didn’t backfire and make matters worse between Renee and Mick. When she heard a vehicle pull into the driveway, she hurried over to a chair and plopped herself down. She picked up the book and opened it, not wanting Renee to know she was waiting nervously for her.

Renee opened the door, then stopped to turn back to Mick. When Jenny saw him wrap his arms around Renee and kiss her goodnight, she let out a huge sigh of relief.

Renee saw that Aunt Jenny was obviously waiting up for her. She walked over to her aunt, bent down, and hugged her tight. Renee’s eyes were sparkling with happiness and her smile was radiant. “Thank you. I am so happy.”

She hugged Renee back. “Sweet dreams.” Jenny gave herself a big pat on the shoulder and silently congratulated herself on a job well done.

Charlie walked into the kitchen the following morning, shocked to see Renee out of bed so early for a change. She was humming a cheerful tune while feeding Gerber’s rice cereal to Michael.

“What a nice surprise,” he said. “Are you feeling okay, honey?”

“I am feeling
wonderful
, dad. In fact, better than wonderful,” she said cheerfully. “The sun is shining, the birds are singing… it’s such a beautiful morning that I decided to surprise you all with breakfast.”

Charlie couldn’t get over this change in Renee, but he was glad to see her back to her old self again. Jenny and Susanna walked in and sat down. Charlie looked over at Jenny and she smiled back. After breakfast, he pulled Jenny aside and asked her if she knew what was up with Renee.
