I pulled out my phone.
Was mama calling back already? Jeepers. Oh wait, this is my cell. She doesn’t have this numb-
It was him.
Three days later, but it was him.
I danced around on one foot and pumped my fist before clicking and answering casually: “Hello?”
“Uh, yes, is that Teagen?”
“Yep it is.” I tried to sound light, breezy, anything but the way a person might sound if they were rolling on the floor practically in tears.
“Teagen, it’s Christopher,” came his low voice.
As if I didn’t know.
“Christopher! Good to hear from you! How is everything?”
“Good, good, thanks.” His voice grew warmer, more seductive. “Look I had a really nice time the other night. Did you?”
“Yes, it was lovely,” I said, biting her lip and squinting.
Thank god this isn’t a video chat.
“Well I have a little cabin on the island and I thought you might like to come with me this weekend? I hope it’s not too forward of me, but it’s really lovely there and I would like to share it with you. If you’re free.”
“This weekend? Let me check my calendar.” I mimicked opening a book, and scanning the pages for non-existent plans. I did have a movie date with Maia, but she would understand. After all, it was three days away. Girl could get other plans. “Nothing I can’t move,” I said. “That sounds lovely!”
“Good, I’ll come pick you up. I was planning to leave Friday, but I can wait until you are off work?”
“Yes, please.” I was practically bursting with excitement. “Pick me up at work.” I gave him all the details, and was just about to hang up when he stopped me.
“Teagen,” he said.
“Yeah?”
No carrots to bite this time. That was for sure.
“I’ve been thinking about you all the time.”
“Me too,” I said, nearly breathlessly.
“Good.”
We pulled into the long driveway, Ferrari crackling over the twigs and brush of the gravel path. I slid the window open, soundlessly, and let the smell of the fresh air fill the car and my lungs. The lake appeared before us, lit by the glow of the sunset, making it all seem otherworldly, gorgeous, a real refuge by the water from the city. When I turned my head to look at the ‘cabin’ though I was quite surprised. This was no cabin. This was a mansion by the water, a beauty of a place that had more in common with an estate than it did a cabin.
Still it was harmonious with the landscape, not interfering with the surrounding nature, but somehow, enhancing it.
“This. Is. Gorgeous,” I said.
“Thank you. I’m really thrilled you could make it.”
“Wouldn’t miss it.” My eyes were drinking in every detail. “It’s magical.”
“Thank you. It’s been in my family for generations. Of course, we changed it a bit as time went by. I guess that’s why we still call it a cabin, because it really was one for a long time.”
“Yeah, I was wondering!”
He grabbed my hand and squeezed it, his grip warm and reassuring. “Are you hungry? We can eat out on the patio and catch the rest of the sunset.”
“Should we cook something? I don’t know if we have time.”
“Well I had the chef come by and leave something in the oven for us, so we’re good to go.” They got out of the car and Christopher easily hoisted our bags, his powerful arms moving smoothly. I felt myself get a little wet.
Gah, I can’t even be here a single moment without wanting to have sex with this guy. How did I hold out that night?
Well, the night is coming to a close,
thought Christopher.
Three hours of eating, drinking, talking. Staring at the water. Staring at each other. God she’s beautiful. Her hair, her eyes. Her body. I’ve been ready to take her since I laid eyes on her. But I don’t want just that with her. I want our child. I want to be with her for the rest of my life, and when I am with her, that thought doesn’t scare me. The only thing that scares me is the idea that I might not realize his scenario.
The ice cubes in his drink clicked against the side of the glass as he took a sip.
“Teagen, you said you wanted children, in our interview, right?”
“Yeah. But my doctor says it’s not likely.” The light was low, the lake quiet. Little splashing sounds as the water hit the dock. Millions of stars were appearing in the night sky.
“I see. But do you believe him?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know what his reasons are, exactly. He’s limited with his testing.”
“Do you picture having kids in the future?”
“Actually I do. I had a vision recently. I guess you would call it a vision. Of a little boy in water wings, ready to go for a swim. He was beautiful. Big blue eyes. Otherwise he kind of looked like me.”
They were both breathless, neither one willing to risk panicking the other.
“I’ve had similar thoughts.” He moved next to her on the deck. “A little blue-eyed boy.”
“That’s it.”
Was she trembling?
“Are you cold?”
“A little.”
He stretched his arm around her, her small frame. Her head fell toward his shoulder, and then his head leaned on hers. He was surprised when she turned up to him, mouth slightly parted, eyes sparkling in the low light of the lake and stars. He claimed her mouth, overjoyed to be connected to her once more.
He didn’t want to scare her away. His hand came up the side of her face, and slid gently around the back of her neck as he explored her mouth with his tongue, each tentative touch a question, each nudge back an answer.
“Do you want to go inside?”
“Yes, Christopher,” she breathed. “Let’s go.”
He led her in to the comfort of the leather couch, sinking in to its luxurious depth. He wrapped an impossibly soft throw around her shoulders before kissing her again, his hands now moving slowly down the skin of her neck, to her décolletage, to tease the tops of her breasts.
She could barely breathe.
“Christopher,” she whispered. “I want you so bad.”
It was exactly what he needed to hear. He pulled her into his arms, and laid her down onto the couch cushions. Her body against his was glorious, her gentle curves pressed up to his hard angles. She held him close, kissed him furiously. He was getting so hard, it was tough to control himself, but her comfort was important. He pressed himself against her, feeling the unquenchable desire to enter her, but holding back.
Still his hands moved to lift her shirt, and she complied, sliding it off her warm brown skin, revealing her bra. He quickly moved to take that off too, to free her breasts, which he grasped, taking her nipples into his mouth one by one and sucking them, tonguing the dark nubs, while she writhed in ecstasy.
“Teagen,” he murmured. “You’re so beautiful. You’re a dream come true…”
She reached down to twine her fingers into his hair, bucking lightly against his hardness, his length, needing him inside her.
Chapter 24
God I want him so bad! I can barely stand it!
I clutched his ass to push him closer to me, willing him to pull my pants off and ravage me, enter me, to take me as his own.
I needed him badly, needed to fuck him, to feel him inside me, to take him in as far as he could go and wrap my legs around him. But what would Alisha say
? Came the voice in the back of my head.
Who the hell cares?
Was the answer that came quickly.
“Christopher, maybe we should move to the bedroom. Where there’s a little more space?”
“Yes, let’s,” he said, helping me off the couch. We made our way to his bed, and this time I wasn’t going to hold back
. This time, I was going to do what I wanted to do, no matter what. If he wanted dark side, I wanted white sugar.
Christopher was the man for me, and if he didn’t realize that, there wasn’t much else I could do about it.
I stripped off the rest of my clothes as he sat on the bed, removing his pants. Then we slipped between the sheets, Christopher holding them up for me to get in. The night was a little chilly, even inside, so his warm body felt even more delicious and I scrambled close to him. Our skin together felt silkier and softer than any cashmere, than any satin. We rubbed against each other, until I felt the insistence of his cock between my legs, pressing against me in a most delicious way.
We grinded against each other until I couldn’t take it anymore.
“Christopher, take me,” I whispered into his ear.
“You’re ready?”
“More than ready,” I murmured.
It was time.
He pulled off my panties, ready to kiss and lick me there, his fingers going into me, when I pulled him back up.
“Actually, you need to fuck me right now.” His face broke into a big grin.
“Gladly.”
It crossed his mind for a moment, that he really should grab a condom. What would her GP know about infertility? She’d never been really sent for a whole battery of tests from the sounds of things. But at the same time, she had never had an issue. Still he couldn’t get the image of their child out of his mind for long.
He pulled off his boxers, his erection springing out from them, and bouncing. He stroked its soft skin for a moment before laying on top of her again and sinking into her kiss, before pressing up against her. She felt so warm and wet as she wrapped her legs around his back, and arched her own. He thrust inside her, gently at first and then with more power, undulating and rolling his hips as she rolled hers, her face contorted with pleasure, her body soft, breasts pressed up against him.
“Teagan, you feel so good, so tight, so wet…”
“You feel amazing too,” she panted, willing him further inside her, moaning as he filled her. She dug her fingers into his back, then his ass, knowing that he felt so right, more right than she could imagine it being. They rolled over so that she was on top, and she leaned back on her shins and rode him, looking down at his beauty, his sculpted muscles as she gyrated gently on him, slipping up and down, squeezing him as he reached up to caress her breasts.
They moved together for a long time, lit by the soft light of the moon through the sky light in the ceiling, magically bound together by not only their bodies, and their growing love, but their fate. Winding together in the sheets of the bed, they moved until Christopher spilled his seed, and Teagen undulated in orgasm over his hard member, and then they slept, his pale arm stretched across her mocha skin, both naked, spent, and happy.
When two months went by, and Teagan felt a certain heaviness in her breasts, and a bit what she suspected was morning sickness, she finally asked Christopher.
“Do you think I am pregnant?”
“Have you had a test?” He looked over his coffee cup at her. They were in his breakfast nook, back at the apartment.
“No, but I think I should. I feel different.”
“I guess Dr. Finnegan might be surprised if you go into his clinic,” said Christopher, tactfully. “Maybe it’s time to find out.”
“Hm. Yeah. Do you think it was that night at the cabin? The first night?”
“That was a great night. If I were to be conceived, I would like it to be on a night that was as magical as that one.”
They both smiled, looking far away, each imagining the beauty of that night. The moonlight glowing against their skin, the connection they felt. Something had bound them together that night.
“Maybe it was the baby.” Teagan said.
“What baby,” said Christopher, taking a sip of coffee.
She couldn’t mean…
“Our baby! The one who looks like me except with your eyes-“
Christopher was stunned. “You see that baby too?”
“Uhh, yes, I guess I do.”
“Because I had that dream before we got together. A little boy.”
“That’s right!”
“That’s eerie.”
“Well maybe. Maybe it’s beautiful.”
“For sure it’s beautiful.” Christopher pulled her onto his lap and pressed his cheek up against her belly. “Hey, anyone home?” He pretend-called.
They both laughed, and then Teagen leaned down to kiss him.
“I’ll get tested today.”
“Do me a favor. Go to Dr. Finnegan’s office, will ya?”
‘For sure.” She smiled.
Dr. Finnegan would be so thrilled for me. I think he’d be the happiest he’s ever been to find out that he’s wrong.
