“You!” she yelled, still pointing.
Esther Petersen woke up panting and gasping for air in her bed. Her heart was beating faster and faster and she could hardly catch her breath. The door to her room opened and her daughter walked in. Her sweet beautiful daughter that had stayed the night with her mother because Esther hadn’t been feeling well the night before. The daughter looked at her and stroked her hair gently.
“She’s coming to get us,” Esther finally managed to say while panting. “She’s coming!”
“What are you talking about?” the daughter said desperately trying to make sense of her mother’s words.
Esther stared at her daughter. Then she froze. She gasped for air a few times, her body shaking like in a seizure.
Then she drew in her last breath and died.
