Bernie’s House

Kreshon was sitting in his car a few feet from Bernie’s house watching Kali and Bernie walk toward the house. When he saw them together, and how they handled each other his mouth dropped. He was kissing her as they walked side by side and he had his arm around her neck.

He couldn’t believe what he was seeing as he rushed for his phone. Dialing Jace’s number he said, “I found out where he rests his head, man. You want me to take him out.”

“No! I need to see if he got Antoinette first remember?” “Okay, but there’s something else.”
“What?”
“You remember Bernice? From D.C.? From when we were kids?” “Dope Head Bernice? From around the way? Who use to get high?” “Yeah…”
“He finally found her?” Jace asked.
“Yeah, but their relationship doesn’t look like it’s supposed to,

man.”
“What the fuck you talking about?”
“You heard me, Jace. I think this sick ass nigga is fucking his own

mother!”

JAYDEN
CHECK ‘EM

Jayden was in class trying her hardest to understand her math lesson. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t get it like the rest of the kids. When it came to learning she failed miserably and she didn’t understand why. She would never know that because her mother drank alcohol throughout her pregnancy, she affected both of her daughters mentally for life. They may not have shown the physical signs of being born to an alcoholic mother, but they certainly exhibited mental deficiencies.

As she scribbled meaningless drawings on her notebook paper, she thought about how she finally got Madjesty to agree to ditch her friends for a day and spend some time with her after school. Yet her mind was on Passion who was sitting a few seats in front of her. She’d been distant and Jayden didn’t understand why she was so some timey. Still there was something unnatural that drew her to Passion and it had nothing to do with sex. Jayden was all girl but not having Passion in her life made her feel slightly empty and she didn’t understand why. She just wished she could control her, and understand where her mind went on the days she decided that she didn’t want to be her friend.

When the last bell rang for school, Jayden gathered her things and rushed behind Passion. Catching up with her she said, “What is up with you? Why you been acting so funny lately?”

Passion frowned a little and said, “Jayden, its nothing.” She walked up to her locker and entered her combination. “I just have stuff to do before my client tonight. Don’t worry though, I’m gonna fuck main man real good for you. You’re gonna get your cash.”

“So now that we work together, our friendship is over?”

“That’s how you wanted it right? Don’t forget Gucci and them are my friends too, they let me know the shit you be saying behind my back.” “What you talking about?”

“Didn’t you tell them that you’re sick of my shit and that we ain’t gotta be friends and that it’s only about your money?”
“Oh my, God! That was a long time ago.”
“But you said it though.”
“Passion.”
“My friends call me Passion. You call me by my real name.” “Uh…I…”
“You don’t even know my real name.” She said shaking her head. It pissed her off that they talked behind her back but there was nothing she could do. “I don’t just want your friendship because you can make me money, Passion.”
“Well that’s how it seems.” Passion smiled slyly. “You my pimp and I finally get that now.”
“Can I ask why you came to Olive’s house with Shaggy that day?”
“He asked me to. It’s not that deep.”
“Since when have ya’ll been kicking it like that?”
“Recently.”
“Don’t get all wrapped up into him. It’s not a good look.”
“I got several friends. Shaggy just one of them.” She said.
Just when she said that Shaggy walked up to Passion, put his arm around her waist and kissed her in the mouth. She didn’t seem to want to kiss him but she went along with him.
“You ready, babes?” He asked although he was looking Jayden square in the face.
“I didn’t know you were picking me up today.” Passion said.
“So it’s like that?” Jayden asked.
“We get up from time to time if that’s what you mean.” Passion responded. “He’s good to me and I’m good to him.”
Jayden was so angry her face was turning a shade red. “So you this pressed to get back at me that you’ll fuck my friend, Shaggy?”
Shaggy looked at her, smirked and walked toward the school’s door holding Passion’s hand. Right before leaving Passion turned around and said, “Don’t worry though; I’ll be able to make my appointment tonight. We all know how you feel about your cash, boss.”
