Ardein
laughed.  "Oh, you can speak!  I'm surprised.  I hope I wasn't too
rough."

Fleur
glared at him and scrunched up her nose.  "I'm waiting!"

He
bowed elegantly.  "Your beauty surpasses both the moon and the sun.  If
neither ever existed again, I would still know brightness when I stood near
you.  You're as..."

He
went on praising her loveliness for another five minutes, at which point he
paused.  Fleur allowed it, since she needed him to take a break and breathe in
order to lavish her with more compliments.

"Well,"
Ardein said.  "Now that we've rested awhile, are you ready to go
again?"

Despite
how weak and wobbly her body felt, Fleur jumped up and stared at him, aghast.
"What?  Again?  Are you fucking crazy?"

"We
still have a good three hours before sunrise!  Better safe than sorry, I say.
I'm sure you'll carry at least one of my children with that last go of it, but
why stop there?  You might have more eggs ready and available and I've always
wanted quintuplets."

"You..."
Fleur clenched her hand into a fist and shook it at him.  "You get away
from me!"

"Oh,
my wife, don't be so shy!  It's alright, dear.  I know it's scary, but I'll be
here for you always."

"Fuck
you!"  Fleur dashed towards the forest, trying to flee.

It
didn't work.

...

Something
happened during the night and Fleur knew she should remember what exactly, but
for some reason her mind was completely blank.  The sun rose on the horizon,
lighting the sky for a new day, and she traveled along safely on the back of
her horse and...

What
the fuck, where were her clothes?  She had none, nothing, and she was riding a
horse, bareback, in the nude.

"Oh,
you're awake."

Who
the hell was that?  Befuddled, she turned her gaze upwards and saw Ardein.  She
wasn't riding on the back of a horse, she was riding him.  He trotted slowly
alongside the outskirts of the forest, keeping a slow enough pace so she
wouldn't fall off but fast enough so as to make decent progress.

"Um,"
she said.  "Good morning..."

"I
hope you enjoyed yourself last night.  I realize it might have been a bit much
for your first time, but my grandfather always said you should jump feet first
into these kinds of things.  Just go all in and figure out what you're dealing
with.  Don't fool around and waste time."

"How
many times did we have sex?" Fleur asked, the realization dawning on her.

"Eight,"
Ardein gladly replied.  "Do you think you'll have eight foals?"

"Foals?"
she asked.  "Er."

"That's
what we call centaur children.  Though I wonder, will they be humans?  I don't
know the specifics on that.  I suppose we'll see how it turns out!"

"I
better not have eight children!" she screamed.  "And what do you mean
foals?  With hooves?  What?  I'm not that big!  I can't fit eight in
there!"

"You
never know!" Ardein said, laughing.  "I wouldn't mind, myself."

"I
do!"

"Oh,
you say that now, but once they kick their way out of you and you see their
darling, dimpled faces..."

"Kick?
What?  No..."

"I'm
sure it won't hurt.  I don't think so, anyways.  Honestly, I wouldn't really
know.  I can ask a lady centaur to assist you with any questions you
might..."

"How
should she know how I'll feel?  I'm not a horse."

"I
like these terms of endearment we have, but could you maybe stick to just
calling me that?  I think I'll get jealous if you start calling everyone
'Horse.'"

"Fuck
you!"

"If
you really want to stop for a mid-morning dalliance..."

"No!
Keep going!  Where are we?  Why aren't we home yet?  I'm hungry.  Dammit!"

A Note from
Cerys

W
ell,
there it all is!  This book was originally published in a serialized form with
each chapter being available for sale individually.  I loved writing it and I
hope you loved reading it.  It's kind of a different take on monsters,
princesses, and sexuality, with a coming of age twist, but I think that's what
makes it interesting.

For
the future, I plan to do more stories involving Princess Miri and Thump.  The
epilogue hints a bit at what I have planned, but there's more to it, too.  I
won't spoil it, but if you have any questions or want to guess, you can email
me at
[email protected]
and I'll try to answer you as
best I can.

Princess
Miri was the first thing I wrote, so it kind of has a special place in my
heart.  I know that might be kind of silly, because it's rather erotic and
explicit in a lot of places, but I don't know if that matters.  I think there's
a lot of parts of it that resonate really well with me, like wanting something,
but being misunderstood, and trying to figure everything out.  I mean, it's
fantasy and all of that, but that doesn't mean parts of it can't be
"real," too.

Personally,
I think my favorite part of this novel is the silly and serious sides.  There's
a lot of important and serious themes, but it's not excessive, you know?  It's
fun and there's some goofy stuff happening, too(and some sexy stuff!), but
everything's there.  I guess that's what it is and that's why I enjoyed writing
it so much; this novel really does have a little bit of everything.

Anyways!
If you liked this story, I'd love if you rated and reviewed it.  Not only does
it help me out, but I enjoy reading comments from people and seeing what they
think.  I've received a lot of private comments about this story in
particular(the most out of any of my stories, actually), but I'd love to read
more, too.  It helps me grow and expand as a writer and to write better in the
future.  There's always room for improvement, right?

Saying
that...

Toodles!

Summoners: Intensely Eager Imp," by Cerys du Lys

"Where's
the imp?" she asked.  "I've come to make a pact with him."

Lily decided
this must be the imp's servant, which made sense.  Archmage Cyprus had her, and
her new imp had this thing, whatever it was.  Obviously he had poor taste in
servants, but it didn't matter so much if he was handsome.

"Phantom
Summoner, huh?" the imp asked.  "Haven't seen one of them in awhile.
Didn't think you mages wanted to do summoning anymore."

"I'd really
like to speak with the imp now," Lily said.  "Please?"

"Lady, I'm
the imp."

She stared at
him, dumbfounded.  "What?"

"I'm an
imp.  The name's Baltios.  You can call me Bally if you want.  Shouldn't you
know this?  How do you go trying to make a pact with an imp without even knowing
what an imp is?"

"I'm..."
She didn't want this imp!  She wanted an attractive one.  Ugh.  "You're
kind of ugly," she said, thinking out loud.

"Can we
just make the pact now?" Bally asked.  "I have a roast in the oven
and I need to check on it.  I don't have a lot of time for chitchat."

"I
guess," she said.

Bally nodded.
Lily waited.  They both stood there doing nothing.  The smell of roast beef
wafted through the kitchen door, savory and delightful.  Lily glanced past
Bally and towards the kitchen, wondering if it was a regular-sized roast and
how she could convince him to invite her for dinner.

"So,"
Bally said.  "You're not a mage, are you?"

"What!  No,
of course I am," she said.

"What
spells do you know?" he asked.

"Um."
Dammit!  This wasn't going like she wanted, not at all.  "Well, I know the
words to um... The impis arcessere thing."

"Look,
lady," the imp said.  "The way this goes is you come here to make a
pact with me, we negotiate, and then it's a done deal.  Like a bargain.  You
get it?"

Lily nodded.
"Alright.  What kind of bargain?"

"That's the
thing.  If you were a mage, you'd offer me some magic every now and then.  A
regular schedule, right?  Imps can't hold magic on their own, so they need to
get it from other places.  A real mage would make a magic-infused biscuit or
something and offer it to me.  That's how that works."

"I can
cook!" Lily said.  "Do you like cookies?  I'll bake you some.  I've
never baked a biscuit, but I can try?"

"You're
sweet, really.  I bet you're a real nice lady, alright?  I'm not making a pact
with you without trading some magic, though."  Sighing, Bally asked,
"What did you do before this?  Before trying and failing to become a
Phantom Summoner?"

"I didn't
fail!" she said.  "I... alright, so I don't know any magic yet, but
I'm apprenticing with Archmage Cyprus, and he promised to teach me some
eventually.  It's been a year, but I think I'm close."

"Cyprus!
That old coot's still alive?  I'm impressed.  He's not a bad teacher, but he's
kind of a lecher.  A pretty girl like you is definitely his type."  For
emphasis, Bally eyed her lingerie-clad form.  "I'll give you one thing,
you know what you're working with.  With you dressed like that, I'd probably
make a bargain with you at half my usual cost.  You're some real good eye
candy, lady.  Most lady mages wouldn't be caught dead wearing that in public,
let alone going to a summoning pact in those clothes."

Lily sighed.
She tugged on her shirt, hoping to cover herself better.  It looked almost like
she wore a dress now?  A very very short one, but still.  "I didn't mean
to.  It was an accident."

"Right.  I
understand.  What's your name?"

"Lily."

"Alright,
Lily.  What did you do before apprenticing with Cyprus?  Maybe we can figure
something out.  I'm not big on teaching people magic, but your mind's in the
right place, so maybe we can come up with an arrangement.  Figure out some way
to make a pact and then go from there."

"Uh."
In the quietest voice possible, she said, "I was a prostitute."

"What?
Didn't hear a word you said."

"I was a
prostitute!"  She frowned and flopped onto the floor, sitting on the backs
of her thighs.  "I didn't want to be, though!  I mean, I didn't mind it,
really, but it wasn't what I wanted to do.  I'd really like to learn magic and
cast spells and have a big house."

"Those
things are completely related," Bally said.

"I'd like a
horse, too.  Someday."

"Yeah,
about that..."

"I'll just
go back now," Lily said.  "Sorry to waste your time.  I kind of
didn't expect an imp to look like you, either, so maybe we're both
disappointed.  I don't actually know how to get back to the library, though,
so, um..."

"Hey, hey!
You're leaving already?"  He sauntered over to her.  "Look, I said we
could figure something out, and as a matter of fact I have.  It's unorthodox,
but it'll definitely work."

"What?  I
can't do magic.  I was a prostitute.  It's not really a magical profession.
Kind of boring, actually."

"Yeah,
well... I won't go into the details, and this is only something mages usually
do when it's a life or death situation, but you can transfer magical energy
through, uh... the deed of, you know... that."

Bally winked at
her and stepped close.  He reached up and twirled some of her hair around his
fingers.  With his other hand, he groped her breasts.  She glanced at her
chest; with his small hand, her breast barely halfway fit in his palm.  And,
while she appreciated the size of her own breasts, they weren't excessively
large by any means.

"What do
you say?" he asked.  He twisted her nipple lightly between two fingers.

"It's
happening soon," Thomas said.  He was the little Miller boy, and on an
errand from his parents to get his church pants stitched.  "That's what
they say, at least.  Have you seen it before, Solace?"

"You
shouldn't act too friendly with me," she said.  "Remember what
happened last time?"

Thomas winced.
Once before, he'd helped Solace pick up some tatters of cloth she'd dropped on
her way to the tailors and his parents had spanked him so hard for it that he
couldn't sit for a week.  "Yeah, well, you won't tell anyone, will
you?"

She laughed, a
quiet, gentle titter.  "I won't, but if someone overhears..."

"I don't
know why everyone hates you, anyways," Thomas said, growing bolder.
"You ain't never done nothing wrong, right?  Did you steal or do a crime
or something?  I think you're real nice, Solace, and you're always happy, so I
don't get it."

"I'm not so
useful," she said.  "I mess up a lot of things.  I try very hard, but
trying isn't enough sometimes.  I do manage to get by and that's good enough
for me for now, though.  Some day..."

"I'll marry
you," Thomas said, all of a sudden.  "Then if anyone says something
mean, I'll punch 'em!  Beat them up good so they never do it again."

Solace laughed.
"Will you?  I'm almost twice as old as you.  I don't think it'll work
out."

"I'm
turning twelve in a month," Thomas said, matter-of-factly.

"I'll bake
you a cake."

"No,
actually, you won't."  A man entered the church stables where she was
doing her mending and sneered at her.  "Take your pants and go, boy,
before I tell your parents you were talking with this wretched whore."

"She's not
a whore!" Thomas said.

The man, Levi,
stared at Thomas for half a second before bringing his arm back and smacking
the boy upside the head.

"No!"
Solace said.  "It's true, Thomas.  I am.  That's why Father William lets
me stay here in the stables.  I take care of the horses
very
well."  She nodded fast when Levi started to grin.  "Here are your
pants," she said, handing them to Thomas.  "You're free to go now.
No charge, since I'm sure the mending isn't very good."

"But..."
Thomas took the pants from her, holding them in one shaky fist.

"No,
nothing.  Out.  I'm done.  Go away now.  Go."  She shooed him towards the
stable entrance, pushing him along the first step of the way.  Gentle, yet
firm, until he continued on his own, walking off, quiet and confused.

Once Thomas was
out of sight, Levi leered at her.  "I've heard that's why Father William
keeps you around.  I'd love to see it sometime.  What do you say?  A copper for
a show?  I'll give you two if it's good and you let the stallion mount you.
Maybe I'll even fuck you myself after, so you know what a real man's cock is
like for once."

"The horses
are out for the day," Solace said.  "Father William wouldn't allow
it, either.  I can't, Levi."

The man
scrunched up his brow, looking furious.  She knew he wanted to press the
matter, to force her to fuck the beasts in front of him, except he wouldn't.  A
good thing, too, since she'd never done it and never planned to, but Father
William wouldn't allow Levi to force her into it, either.  In Glenwood, the
word of the church was practically the law, so someone like Levi wouldn't go
against a priest even if Father William was a senile old man.

"Fine,"
he said.  "For now.  Actually, maybe it's for the best, anyways.  Here.
This is for you."

He shoved a
piece of rolled up parchment into her hands, grinning.

"What is
it?" she asked.

"Read
it," he said.  "Or should I read it for you?  I don't expect someone
like you knows more than a few simple words.  Unroll it and I'll do that.  Be
quick.  I don't have all day."

She stood up and
unrolled the parchment, eying it over.  Of course she could read, but she
didn't want Levi knowing that.  The townspeople already called her enough mean
names, and she didn't want "witch" added to the lot.  If they had any
excuse to tie rocks to her feet and drown her, they might take it.

He stepped
behind her and pressed his body close to hers.  She could feel the hardness and
length of his manhood beneath his clothes, pushing against her firm rear.
Leaning over her shoulder, breathing hard against her neck, he smacked one hand
on her stomach while the other roamed across her breasts.  As he read aloud
from the parchment, he fondled and groped her.

She tried to
ignore him, reading along too to see if he would lie to her, but he wouldn't
stop touching her.

"The
Glenwood high council," he said, squeezing her left breast, "must
soon send an eligible woman into the Forest of Sacrifice as a bride for the
Demon King.  This is a tradition that has continued—"  He emphasized the
last word by twisting her hardened nipple.  "—for centuries and is
necessary in order to retain peace with the monstrous host."

When Levi
paused, focusing more on molesting her chest than on reading the parchment,
Solace cleared her throat.  "What else?"

"Hold on,
slut.  It's not like you have anywhere to go, do you?  Or are you excited for
the horses to return?"

"No,
but—"

"But
what?" he asked, his voice harsh and demanding.  Without warning, he
shoved her to the ground.  Not hard, but enough to startle her.  Her knees
scraped against the rough, straw covered dirt and she dropped the parchment.
"You think you're too good for me, Solace?  Is that it?  You want to know
what the rest of this parchment says, do you?  Here's what it says.  We're
sending you as the damn bride for that sick demon fuck, and there's nothing you
can do about it."

"I
wasn't..."  She backed away, offering him a reluctant smile.  "It's
alright, Levi.  I just wanted to know."

"You know
what it means to be his bride?  It's not some special wonderful marriage filled
with love and happiness, Solace.  It's awful pain and hurt.  Every hundred
years this happens, and the council knows it's awful, but they do it anyways.
What's one useless woman's pain compared to peace for the whole town?  Nothing,
that's what.  The Demon King's going to fuck you raw and fill your belly with
some monster baby.  Except it's not birth you go through, it's being eaten from
the inside out.  That demonspawn's going to gnaw at your insides once it
grows.  Slow at first, until it gets hungrier and hungrier, then it's going to
pop out one day, eat right through your stomach, and devour the rest of you as
its first meal.  What do you think of that?"

Solace
shivered.  It sounded awful, but it was just a story, right?  She didn't now
much about the Demon King or the monstrous host, but she'd read a little about
them in the church library books.  Every so often an ogre or a troll wandered
into Glenwood and wanted to purchase something from the market, too.  All the
townspeople quieted, trying to pretend they weren't scared, but it was so easy
to see through their act.  Solace might have been scared, too, but the monsters
looked so fascinating.  Once, except she probably imagined it, she even thought
one smiled at her.  A crooked, wicked smile, but not altogether unpleasant.  A
friendly gesture from a creature completely unused to friendliness.  Or that's
what she wanted to think.

"If I want
to take you right here and now, by force or whatever, I could, you know?"
Levi said, ignoring her shaking.  "It's not like anyone cares, anyways.
If I raped you, so what?  They're sending you to the Demon King, so you're as
good as dead already."

He loomed over
her, pressing closer.  His boots crunched against the brittle straw with every
step he took, ominous and dark.  He stared down at her, his expression a mix of
taboo excitement and fierce anger.

"I think
I'm gonna do it," he said.  "I'll fuck you so hard you won't have
room in your belly for any demonspawn.  And you know what?  He'll just try all
the harder, over and over, and you'll scream.  I'll listen for it, Solace.
When the wind blows on a quiet night, I'll listen for your screams from their
underground city and I'll smile."

"No,"
she said, smiling at him, trying to be happy.  Tears streamed down her cheeks
and she shook her head.  "You don't mean that, Levi.  I'm so happy,
though.  Really, I am.  I'm so happy that I can help Glenwood.  I'll gladly go
to the Demon King for everyone.  I want to help."

"That's
enough."

Father
William walked into the stables.  Despite his need for a cane, he looked
stately in his priest robes.  Straining to keep his back straight, he glanced
over what was going on.
