Brett stood up, and held his hand out for Chantal to pick herself up from the ground. She stood beside him, still shy and demure, wide-eyed, feeling her bones melt, when he cornered her against the concrete side of the canal. It was heat, passion, wildness, and purity all combined in a moment, a prelude to the impending cataclysm Chantal was sure was coming.

Tie me up, please…” Chantal said. They looked above at some vines and roots hanging down from the grassy area above the depression in the canal they were standing in. She was in his hands—he had to comply.

A little bit of kink was one of the most delicious of erotic pleasures. Catholic school girls were often the horniest—Brett could hardly contain his elation.

He tied her wrists together rather crudely—not enough time, not enough patience—but it still worked, and he went back to caressing her breasts through her blouse, watching her body twist and squirm and beg for release. She kicked him in the shin once, without even knowing, and was digging her heel and foot into the ground, before hooking one thigh around his hip, to bring his body in closer and feel his body’s heat and weight against her.

Chantal let out a moan when he opened a couple of her blouse buttons, and slipped his hand over her bra, pulling it down to lavish his attention on her bare breasts. She squeezed her thighs against his neck, when he went lower, lifting up her plaid pleated skirt to see her hot pink underwear. He pulled it down, grabbing her ass cheeks, giving her cunt a loving lick and kiss.

Brett turned around when Chantal gasped and pointed behind him—there was a small kid, a Malay boy on a bicycle, watching them make out.

Brett looked at the boy. “Shhh!” he whispered, putting a finger to his lips too.

The boy smiled, happy for the free show, then pedaled on his way when a cell phone started ringing.

The
fuck,
” Brett muttered. It was his cell phone that had gone off. He’d have switched the device off, except that it was Marc calling. “Dude, what?”

Hey, where are you? They’re looking for you a—”

Alright, alright, alright—we’ll be there soon.”

Brett looked back at Chantal, almost apologetically. She was still smiling from getting turned on when he said “fuck.” The subdued but exasperated way he said it was quite charming.

We’re not usually spied on, out here,” Chantal said, taking a look around. “Today’s an exception.”

She was a little disappointed, watching Brett straighten his clothes and hair—he chose not to get them both into serious trouble, instead of having a quick romp out in the open. He was thinking of sticking the phone up her vagina, and sending a text and calling, so that the phone would be full of good vibrations. He should’ve—she would’ve agreed.

We have the rest of the day,” Brett said, watching her finger-comb her hair, before she tied everything back in the ponytail, since it was against HIGH’s school rules to wear one’s long hair down. “What time do you finish school?”

3 p.m.” It was one of Chantal’s shorter days, but 3 p.m. still felt like a lifetime away.

What’s your cell number? I’ll text you mine.”

They exchanged phone numbers. Chantal wanted to take off her bra and ditch it somewhere in the canal. That way she’d be able to feel the natural swing of her breasts better, as she walked and ran about.

He texted Chantal his home address, with a message to meet him there once the school day was over.

Brett and Chantal climbed over one of the barriers, quickly dusting some of the sand off their shoes and bits of grass that had gotten onto their white socks.

I think they’re looking for you two.”

Chantal jumped, her heart in her throat, when she heard a voice close to her ear. It was one of the older white-haired nuns, who mostly kept to herself, but who was always kind and friendly to the students of HIGH.

Check your hair,” the nun whispered, pointing to the top of Chantal’s head.

Chantal dashed into one of the nearby restrooms, and grabbed the pocket comb she always had with her, quickly fixing her slightly lopsided ponytail. Her crinkled blouse was sufficiently hidden by the official formal school blazer.

The presentation on leadership was being held at the auditorium on the third floor.

Yes, I have everything ready,” Chantal replied the head prefect, as she stumbled into the theatre and hurried to gather her notes. The presentation was just about to begin. Many pairs of eyes were on her and Brett, but Chantal didn’t care. They had made a connection over a shared disdain for religious dogma, and it made her heart sing.

I was taken on a tour around the school,” Brett explained to one of the teachers that had accompanied the visiting students from St. Dom’s.

It was Chantal’s turn to give her talk, so she psyched herself up by pretending she was living the sexually liberated life she wanted, which had nothing to do with sexual promiscuity. She envisioned herself as a pansexual person at heart, who was confident to go after whoever she wanted, male or female. She wanted it all. If she followed this, she could proudly say that she was leader of her own life.

All the while during the presentation, Brett was looking at her lean, sexy, muscular legs. He had a good view of the podium from where he was at the far side.

Her speech was well-received by the audience. All the while, she wondered who else might be able to guess where she’d last been kissed.

She went back to her seat, a few seats behind Brett, the Speedos boy. She stopped looking in his direction when he didn’t seem to look back, after the one initial first time that he turned back with a long, lingering, focused stare at her. She didn’t know if she was being looked at like a piece of meat or if he had something else on his mind. It scared her a little, but reeled her in all the more.

When Brett said goodbye, he held her hand for a second longer than necessary, holding her gaze, unaware of anything else. He wanted to see her again—later, that very day.

* * *

Did you get it on with Brett?” Aisyah asked. She’d noticed that the two of them had gone missing quite early on, but made no mention about it. Some of the other prefects only started looking for Chantal right before the presentation started.

So much to tell you,” Chantal said to Aisyah, who was seated behind her in class. She filled Aisyah in on Brett, when they had a quick bite at 1.45pm, before a mathematics supplementary lesson from 2-3pm. Chantal was famished—she hadn’t eaten anything all morning.

Holy smokes,” Aisyah muttered, when she heard that “the cute guy” was “the Speedos boy.” Chantal had mentioned him a couple of times in the past week.

What was that all about?” Aisyah said to Chantal, as soon as they had a chance to speak with each other in private. “It was so…” She was wringing her fingertips together, moving them left and right, sideways, back and forth.

They were both jittery and scatterbrained. What had the boys said or done that made them feel their friendship was somehow going to change, for better or worse?

Chantal had checked the address Brett sent to her cell phone:

57A Hacienda Grove

#03-5901

It was one of the condominiums on the East Coast. Chantal knew where it was, though she’d never been inside before. It was located slightly off the main road.

I don’t know either—I saw you, when I was running out to the field with Brett. Were you talking to Marc?”

Yes. We were talking about the whole emo sparkly vampire craze-fad-thing.”

Chantal raised an eyebrow, impressed. Aisyah loathed what had become of the modern vampire. She liked her vampires to hunt and feed off of people, not sparkle like a bunch of disco balls in the sun.

We came to the conclusion that vampirism is Christianity turned on its head.”

How?”

The story of Christ is a moral story about receiving eternal life through the sacrificial death of Jesus through his shed blood. Vampirism is an immoral story about receiving eternal life through the drinking of the blood of sacrificial humans. Jesus shed his blood so that others might live. Vampires shed other people’s blood so that the vampires might live.”

Mah-vellous,” Chantal replied. “I wonder…which story is more popular?”

Aisyah nodded. “Marc’s like the girly version of me, in a man’s body,” Aisyah said, glowing strangely. “You know…if he put on a long wig, and wore make-up, he could easily pass off as a female.”

Aisyah and Chantal continued to exchange notes, on the bus ride to Brett’s house.

The last thing Brett said was ‘See you later, and bring your friend along,’” Chantal said.

It’s so weird—were they hitting on us?”

I suppose so—”

They aren’t going to…kill us, are they?” Aisyah looked at Chantal with a serious face.

Kill us!”

Yeah…I mean, what are we getting ourselves into?”

Chantal gave a laugh. “You’re the one who uploaded the photos!”

True, true…oh no.”

What?”

I’m starting to like guys now too…I think. I’m a terrible example of a butch lesbian.”

They looked out the window, at the scenery of concrete buildings and shrubbery. It was a few more stops to Hacienda Grove.

I’ll never think you are terrible,” Chantal said quietly. “You’re one of the most interesting people that I know.”

I’m not the one that’s too interesting,” Aisyah rebutted, with a mock condescending air. “It’s other people that are too boring.”

They both smiled cynically.

You know, if one of us ends up with one of the guys…” Chantal asked. “Will you be jealous?”

They thought about the possibility. Chantal’s dream came up in her mind again. What if it reached a battle of epic proportions? Would it be worth it?

No, no, not at all,” Aisyah replied, already feeling a warm surge of jealousy in her heart. “Brett is good-looking and hot property—better grab him while you still can…”

If it’s going to get too messy…” Chantal paused, trying to keep things in perspective. “We can’t let two guys get in the way of our friendship, y’know what I mean?”

Perfectly.”

Aisyah didn’t really like feeling on guard against Brett—it wasn’t like she owned Chantal—but she could see how this might affect the close friendship she had with Chantal.

They’d known about jealousy amongst their girlfriends. One time, one of their lesbian friends that were in a relationship had been playing a game at a party, and one of them gave a kiss to an ex, who happened to be at the same party. That caused a whole load of problems within the relationship, that they eventually drifted apart and were no longer friends or on talking terms.

This made Aisyah, and Chantal to a certain extent, want to hold off on all the commitment stuff. They preferred enjoying occasional close physical contact without any drama. Their friendship had more value than cheap physical thrills.

Between friendship and relationships,” Chantal continued softly, “I’d pick friendship. It’s more stable. Though I do find Brett…intriguing, like how you find Marc…even though we haven’t really spent that much time with them…”

They’re best friends,” Aisyah said, “the same way we are. Two pairs of two best friends.” She considered her own sexuality to be currently in a fluctuating/evolving state. She didn’t know if Brett, Marc, or Chantal, were in a similar state.

Yesterday…I really would’ve liked it if we were both topless,” Chantal said, tilting her head down, chin almost touching her upper chest.

Me too—I dunno why I held back.” Though Aisyah did know—she wasn’t ready to totally let go during sex, just yet. Could she handle Chantal’s high sex drive and needs all by herself? She didn’t think so.

Maybe we’ll soon all be topless,” Chantal said, hinting at the foursome which was exactly what everyone wanted. “Would you like that?”
