I recently came up with the spell that we need to get the powers out of Annie; I just need some herbs and ingredients to make the potion. I tweaked the spell so that every one of us in this covenant will receive some form of the powers trapped in Annie; we will
all
be more powerful.

I grab Destiny, dropping the spell that made the butterflies, and head inside. She is trying to walk, now, so I hold her little hands and help her walk into the house.

When I get inside, Maia takes Destiny for her nap and I go in search of the things I need to complete the spell and potion. I’m in the attic mixing everything when Rebecca comes in. She knows what I’m doing but still insists on asking me.

Becca, you know exactly what I’m doing. I’m finishing the potion and the spell to get the powers out of Annie. I don’t want to be targeted over that damn doll anymore.”

She just nods her head and comes to assist me. We finish putting everything together within the hour and then go to call our meeting. We need every living witch and warlock to be present during this spell to ensure that everyone gets their share of powers- including my little princess. Maia put Destiny in her "pack 'n play" in the front of the room. My baby is fast asleep and has no idea what we are up to. I really hope this works, especially if it reduces the number of attacks on us. The goal is to keep her and Rebecca's yet unborn twins super safe.

After everyone is settled in, I start to speak. “Good afternoon, everyone, I have good news: we have found the solution to getting the powers
out
of Annie and
into
all of you. No single Witch or Warlock should carry as much power within as they say we could contain with the powers from this doll, so we decided to share whatever is inside of Annie with all of you. In order to make sure you all receive the powers, though, I need to do the spell with you all in the same room. I also have a potion for you all to drink. I will say the spell as you drink the potion. After the spell is complete, your potion vials should all be empty. Maia, I need you to feed it slowly to Destiny because she sleeps with the dropper.” Maia nods her head and comes to grab the vials for her and Destiny.

Sebastian and John are going around the room, handing out all of the potions. As soon as they hand the last one out I tell them to start drinking. Then, I start the spell to release the magic from Annie and they drink a little more. The next part is to send the magic into everyone, so I drink mine before I start.

As I finish the words, I feel a spark in my chest and my hands... and then a sharp pain shoots through my head. I keep going until all the words are said and all the potions are empty. As soon as I’m done the pain stops. I look around to see everyone else with the same looks of relief on their faces.

Does that mean it worked?" Maia asks from the corner of the room with a crying Destiny in her arms.

I honestly don’t know. How do I know if it worked? I'm busy thinking that if I had known that that process was going to put my baby through that much pain then I wouldn’t have made her take it. But what's done is done, and we
do
need to see if the spell worked. “Well, let’s try out a power. Try fireballs, levitating, or something else that you haven’t been able to do before. But, also try the powers you
were
able to do before and see if they are stronger now. But, please take all of this to the training room, or outside. There is no need to mess up our house for this, especially if you have a new power you can’t control,” I say sternly.

So, they make their way to the yard where they start practicing. It is immediately obvious that it worked- everybody is far more powerful than before. I watch as Maia blows up a tree; Milissa and Yashira almost send a tree into the house; and Wyatt stops it before it hits the house. Thank goodness for that- we would have had to rebuild the top two floors.

Ok, now try
new
powers. Let’s all try to use fireballs. Focus on the energy coursing through you. Focus on the one thing that gets your blood boiling and push it all to your hands. For those of you who used the potions in the Underworld, focus on the feeling you had when you were using that power,” Rebecca says. All of the people who used that potion in the Underworld were the first to start the fireballs, probably because they knew what feeling they were looking for. Then, one by one, the others joined in with their fireballs.

I can’t explain how good it feels to know that we are all equally empowered now; this is going to make things so much easier. We spend the rest of the day training to hone our new skills.

Milissa

It has been a few weeks since my first change. I am able to control it a lot more, now, so I’m out on my first mission as a Wolf. What's more, I came alone! It's exciting for me. There has been unusual activity on Pine Street and I'm supposed to be figuring out exactly where on the street the headquarters are. Pine Street is just a street over from where the Vampires hang out so I expect that it has everything to do with them.

I am walking down the street and I notice that someone is following me. I'm not scared, though: with all of the powers flowing through me I could easily take out any enemy. Nevertheless, I hurry my pace to create a little more distance between him and I. When I turn the corner onto Chestnut Street I notice that he has quickened his pace as well. I try to teleport out of the area while he is still around the corner but my powers are being blocked! So, I quickened my pace into a run to make even more space between us. When I get to the end of Chestnut Street I run inside this little family-owned store called "Pete’s Spa".

“Hello, Milissa, how have you been? I haven’t heard from you or your family in a while- is everything okay?” Pete asks me. Our family helped him out of a Demonic situation a few years back and he has kept our secret safe since then. He was and is very grateful for our help; it saved both his store and his son

“Hi Pete, we’re doing great. You know- the usual,” I say, trying to imply that we're still helping people out.

He looks at me and smiles, and then lets me wander the store. I go to the furthest aisle, the one closest to the back door which leads to a sort of "members-only" club. I hear the front door open and the "Hello, how are you?" from the owner’s son this time. The person who came in doesn't respond; instead, I hear him coming closer. When he turns the corner towards me everything freezes.

“I have been sent here to capture you. You will be used as our sacrifice. It is a ritual that we perform every twenty-five years to get more power,” he says to me like it was the sanest thing to say.

“I’m sorry, but you cannot use me as a sacrifice. I’m not even sure what you are.
And why me? Just because I happened to be walking down the street? There is no way I’m sacrificing my life to help you,” I say, and I run through the back door and behind the store. There are a few apartment buildings around here. I run down the alley outside of them, down the hill at the end of the street, and then I bust through a fence to a closed-off area. I don’t see him anywhere but I keep on running, faster and faster. I have no idea why my powers aren’t working but I need to resort to something else. So, I become a Wolf. With my Wolf speed and hearing I can actually hear that he is coming after me and I don't even have to look behind me. I keep running until I feel my powers come back, then I teleport mid-stride and land in the front of our Covenant complex.

But, to my great horror, so does the man who was chasing me, who wants to kidnap me! Before I can react I am bound, and the last thing I see is a tan-colored cloth bag going over my head.
