Jeric moaned and obeyed, sliding Zoa up his cock. As he did, Izar closed the final distance and licked his tongue from the base of Jeric’s shaft up to Zoa’s clit.

As his strong, hot tongue brushed over her, the orgasm hit Zoa like a hammer. The strength of it took her by surprise and she had to scramble to keep her magic under control as wave after wave of pleasure rolled from the apex of her thighs across her entire body. Jeric groaned as her spasms gripped him, sucking his cock as he began to pump into her. Izar groaned as well, licking her one last time before straightening up and holding out his arms.

Dazed by the orgasm that was still thundering through her, Zoa didn’t understand the gesture, but Jeric did. He drove into her one last time and then lifted her up, sliding her off his cock and onto Izar’s. Zoa gasped as the captain entered her, filling her completely until she cried out with pleasure. Izar grinned at the noises she made and dropped his head to her breasts, moving his hot mouth over her burning skin as he began to pound into her.

The sensation was almost too much. Zoa began to squirm under him, her body almost frantic as another orgasm began to build on the heels of the first. But just as she started to thrash, Jeric was there. The tall, dark Chosen pressed up behind her, locking her body between him and the captain. His hard cock, still slick from being inside her, pressed into the small of her back, while his big, long-fingered hands ran over her body, skimming her hips, her ass, her neck and shoulders, then sliding around her to move over her stomach and breasts, holding them together while Izar buried his face between them with a sound of pure ecstasy.

But as wonderful as it was, the lust burning through Zoa wasn’t satisfied. Even though Jeric was right behind her, kissing her neck and running his hands all over her, he wasn’t close enough. The need to have him inside her was deep and primal and she tightened her legs, pushing up so that she slid up Jeric’s body, her pussy hovering over the head of Izar’s shaft and her ass pressed against the head of Jeric’s. He was so close she could feel his slick head pressed against her and she moaned in wanton abandon. But before she could take what she wanted, Izar grabbed her, forcing her to face him.

“No, no, beloved,” he said, kissing her deeply. “You have to tell us, what do you desire?”

Behind her, Jeric made a deep, male sound of need and satisfaction, teasing her ass with his slick cock while Izar’s pressed against the entrance to her pussy, the blunt head sliding across her slick slit. Every movement made her mind hazy with desire, but no matter how she struggled, the men wouldn’t let her slide down as she wanted. So, at last, she found the words.

“You,” she whispered, her voice little more than breath and desire. “Both of you. I want to you to fill me.”

Izar moved in closer, kissing her deeply, and then, as though on some predetermined signal, the two men eased her down.

It was Dezira’s own heaven. The two cocks slid slowly, beautifully into her, filling her so fully Zoa thought she would cry from pure joy. Jeric’s body was a wall behind her, his cock hard as stone. At the same time, Izar was in front of her, his cock buried to the hilt. They were all joined with her in the center, the bridge that united the three of them in a burning union. The feeling was so perfect, so
right
, her body began to tremble. It reminded her of the sweet buildup just before orgasm, but this was deeper, hotter, and bigger than anything she could manage on her own. It was magic, she realized at last. Her own magic building, mixing with the mad lust and desire the three of them had created.

The power of it took her completely by surprise. Zoa was used to handling large amounts of lust. She regularly worked with crowds, after all. She’d handled the lust at Rosa’s without straining, but even the lust of that night didn’t match what was building now. This was something like she’d never felt before, and from the way Jeric had stopped breathing behind her, she knew he felt it too. In front of her, Izar was flushed and shaking, his eyes drunk with lust. But he was not lost. Izar was still there behind the haze and his face was full of promise as his hands gripped her thighs. And then, slow as the rising tide, he began to move inside her.

She and Jeric both cried out as the lust in the room moved with him, catching them in its wave. Izar moved once on his own, and then Jeric grabbed her waist and began to move with him, the two of them pumping into her in unison. With each thrust, the magic sang, flooding Zoa’s mind with power even as her body was burned away. She could only close her eyes and hold on, leaning against Jeric and gripping Izar’s shoulders as she fought to contain and control the magic. It was almost like that morning they had woken her up, but this time she was determined to keep things under control.

It was a losing battle. The men were as overtaken as she was, the both of them holding on to her for dear life as their bodies moved on instinct. The power grew with every wild thrust, spreading like a hurricane with the three of them at the center. Through the intense connection of the magic, Zoa could feel their orgasms nearing, and the rise of their pleasure carried her own up as well, the three of them building to something so intense Zoa began to be afraid. But she could not stop. Nothing could stop what was coming as Jeric and Izar thrust faster and faster until, at last, their bodies bucked hard against her. As they tumbled over the edge, Zoa tumbled with them, the orgasm thundering through her as it thundered through them. And as they came, the power, and Zoa’s control, broke.

Magic flew out of her, burning through the lust in the air like a wildfire catching dead grass. The magic was pure power, formless and enormous. Zoa tried frantically to call it back, to shield the others, but her specialty was building magic, not holding it. Still, if this had been a normal bout of runaway magic, she could have caught it, but this was something else entirely, and it burned through her just like everything else. She could only watch, horrified, as the magic she’d helped build began to crash. Even she wouldn’t be immune when it hit, and Izar, human and undefended, would be burned completely.

The thought stopped her cold. In the last few days, Izar had become surprisingly dear to her. The thought of hurting him created a stab of cold fear that stopped even the lust and the dread gave her new strength.

With strength she hadn’t known she had, Zoa flung her out magic to shield him. Her power might not be enough and taking the hit on her magic would certainly hurt a great deal, but this was her fault. She’d let herself get caught, let her magic go out of control and fan the lust to this point, she would gladly take the consequences. But as she pulled on her own power to stand against the crashing force, something extraordinary happened.

Just before the crash hit, Jeric’s power rolled over them in a warm, glowing wave that caught the burning magic and held it. Since Zoa’s magic had been the primary building force, she could feel what Jeric did as clearly as though he was doing it to her own body. Even so, she didn’t quite believe it. In the blink of an eye, Jeric built a wall of his power, a great barrier that protected Izar, and the two of them, from the enormous magic. The burning power crashed into the wall, and when the two touched, it was the out of control magic that broke. It crashed with a flash that was almost blinding, and then, like a shift in the wind, the burning power dissolved into something warm and wonderful.

As Jeric dropped his barrier, the remnants of the magic fell over them like soft rain, suffusing everything in a bliss that glowed with Dezira’s approval. For a moment, Zoa could only sit and bask in the warm wonderfulness of it, and then she looked over her shoulder to see the moon on Jeric’s forehead shining white as phosphorus, filling the tent with blazing light.

He wasn’t alone. Her own forehead was blazing too and she could almost feel Dezira with them. The happiness in the air was hers as well as theirs and Zoa immediately began a prayer of praise and thanks. Jeric joined her, though he had never been taught the words. There was no need, all the Moon’s Own knew her songs.

As the prayer finished, the brilliant whiteness of their marks faded and the light in the tent returned to normal. The moons were still there, glowing soft and strong, and Zoa had the feeling she couldn’t have hidden her mark at this moment if she’d tried.

In front of her, Izar slumped with a deep shudder. Zoa moved to give him room. Such an experience left even her shaking. Izar wasn’t a Chosen, so she could only imagine how he felt. But as she tried to move away, Izar’s arms shot out, wrapping around her and Jeric and pulling them all together again.

“Not so fast,” the captain whispered. His voice was husky, but it had none of the drunken, dazed sound from the morning they’d nearly burned him out. He looked at her and Jeric with blatant possession for a moment, and then his eyes drifted to their glowing symbols. “What was that? Or do I want to know?”

“I’m not actually sure,” Zoa said. “I haven’t lost control of my magic like that since I was newly Chosen. My specialty is building lust, but I’ve never done anything like that before. I could have hurt us all if not for Jeric.” She turned to her fellow Avatar. “To take that kind of wild burning and turn it into something strong and protective, something loving…” her voice trailed off with a brilliant smile. “You truly are a white moon.”

Jeric closed his eyes. “I didn’t even know what I was doing,” he said. “But I could feel her hand guiding me. Her white hand.”

“You are hers,” Zoa said, arching back to kiss him. “The moon takes care of her Own.”

Jeric kissed her back and then looked at his captain. “I’m sorry, Izar. Looks like we almost hurt you again.”

Izar gave him a scornful look. “Have I not made myself clear?” He smiled, and then, without warning, tipped sideways, landing them all in a naked sprawl across Zoa’s bedroll.

“I don’t want to hear another apology,” he said, kissing Zoa. “From either of you,” he continued, leaning over her to kiss Jeric. The lieutenant gasped when his captain’s lips landed on his, but he caught on quickly, returning the kiss with surprised passion. The captain broke the kiss moments later, and then dragged them both against him. “I don’t care if you two want to use me for a ritual where you stab knives in my stomach, nothing is keeping me from you. In the space of two days, you’ve given me the best sex of my life. If you think anything you do could drive me away now, you’re insane.”

Zoa laughed at that, squirming in the captain’s grasp. Jeric laughed as well, wrapping his long arms around them both and hugging them tight. “I guess we’re stuck with him now, Avatar,” he said, kissing Zoa’s cheek.

Zoa smiled. “His risk,” she said, licking Izar’s lips.

The captain kissed her and then he fell into an instant, deep sleep.

Zoa blinked in surprise, glancing at Jeric. “Was that you?”

“No,” Jeric said. “I don’t know how to cast spells yet, remember?” He looked indulgently at his captain. “I think we just overloaded him.”

Zoa frowned and gently untangled herself from the sleeping captain. Together, she and Jeric moved Izar onto the bedroll and then snuggled themselves in on either side of him, pulling up the blankets to form a warm cocoon. When they were settled, Jeric blew out the lamp and the tent fell dark save for the dim light of their still glowing symbols.

“Zoa,” Jeric said quietly, reaching across his sleeping captain to stroke her arm. “What actually happened tonight?”

Zoa sighed. “I’m not sure. I lost control of my magic, but I don’t think that was all that happened. Honestly, I don’t think I could build that much lust with just three people.” She turned over, propping herself on her elbows. “I know what you did, though. Forming a barrier like that is a rare and strong magic used only by Dezira’s white moons. I’ve never seen its like in person, and I’ve seen a lot. Before I was sent to the north to find you, I served in the temple controlling and helping to fan the magic generated by groups for our large spells.”

“You oversaw the orgies, you mean?” Jeric said, grinning. “I guess all those tales about Dezira’s temples are true.”

“You don’t know the half,” Zoa said with a laugh, but then her face grew serious. “I knew you were strong when I brought you into your power, but I never expected something like that.” She looked down at Izar. “I’ve never heard of anything like this before. Whatever magic spins between the three of us, it’s very strong.” She reached down, brushing a lock of the captain’s sandy hair out of his eyes. His relaxed face was almost boyish in the moonlight from their brows, making her heart hitch. “Maybe we should stop before we hurt him.”

“No,” Jeric said.

Zoa looked up to see Jeric staring at her, his dark, handsome face utterly determined. “When I met the goddess, the desire I showed her was this. The three of us, together. It pleased her and she marked me with the white moon. Tonight, her hand touched me again. Look.” He closed his eyes and Zoa’s skin prickled as the barrier appeared around them again, strong and glowing in the air.

“I can do it at will now,” he said as the barrier vanished. “You build power, Zoa, I hold it back and Izar, Izar fans our lust until our magic is greater than the sum of its parts.” He shook his head. “It’s too perfect, like we were made to be a set.”

“I’ve never heard of such a thing,” Zoa said, pursing her lips. But the more she thought about it, the more she liked it. The idea of being a set with Jeric and Izar created a warm, happy feeling in her stomach, but more, the idea felt right. The thought of the three of them together carried the deep, instinctual certainty that she’d come to recognize as a sign from her goddess.
