She tapped the card gently across her lips. Courtney and he were history; she was certain of that. Though wifey-poo had barely said two words to her in weeks, she knew that Courtney was in the process of leasing a new apartment in San Francisco, that she was no longer in hiding, and that she had been in an exceptionally foul mood.

Excellent.

Diana looked again at the writing on the card. Bruce Anjelo, assuming that was his real name, might very well be a criminal. He could even be a murderer; she didn't really know. But there were other things about him she did know. She knew that he was hot. She knew that he was rich. She knew that he could handle himself on the street. And, though she hadn't previously considered it an asset in a man, she knew that he wasn't an idiot.

All she needed to know, now, was whether he needed an administrative assistant.

Her lips drew into a smile. She had always believed you reaped what you sowed in life. She had gotten screwed twice now, through no fault of her own. But this time, she was picking her sugar daddy right.

She picked up the phone and dialed the number.

This time, she would get
exactly
what was coming to her.
