His heart rate quickened, as did his breathing at their close proximity, and he could feel the heat and the attraction pulsating between them.
It was if his whole body was suddenly alive with animal lust for this young woman, and it was all he could do not to give into his desire for her and take things to the next level.
He wondered if she felt it too. When she pressed herself against him, mashing her fleshy tits against his hard chest, he knew that she did, and his cock grew even more rigid, painfully so in fact.
He carefully played with a tendril of her hair, relishing in the softness, realizing this embrace had gone on a lot longer than was proper under the circumstances but vowing not to let go until she did.
He let his hand trail along her neck, feeling the soft skin under his touch, and her fingers moved up the back of his head, curling into his hair.
Next to them, the sound of some heavy necking rent the air, the wet sounds of sloppy kissing reverberating around the room. It was an intoxicating sound, and the effect was immediate. He let his hand trail down her back, then find the curve of her hip and lower still until he reached her upper buttock.
Her head turned, and he felt her hot breath on his cheek. Without knowing who started it, he suddenly felt her lips open and brush along his, and next thing he knew, they were kissing deeply, their tongues meshing, and the soft wetness of her turned his brain into mush, and the next moment he was pulling her in and the heat exploded between them into a moment of frenzied passion, his hand enveloping her breast through the silky material of her bathing suit and relishing the soft sensation of her delicate bud under his fingers, their tongues dancing their slow hot dance, wetness and heat driving him to the point of no return until he felt her suddenly stiffen against him, and reason finally returned to its throne and he reluctantly tore himself away.
She stood panting, staring at him with feverish eyes, her chest heaving.
“What just happened?” she breathed.
“I-I’m sorry,” he stuttered. “I should never have…” His voice trailed off. There was no excuse for what just happened, except the heat of the moment and the attraction between them that was clear as day.
“No, I’m sorry,” she murmured, “for giving you the impression that I… I wanted…” She shook her head to clear the fog that had descended on her brain. “Let’s just forget about what happened.”
He automatically nodded, though he knew he’d have a very hard time forgetting this. In fact, it might well have been one of the highlights of his life. If only Burke and Sophie hadn’t been in the room, they might have taken things even further.
Then he noticed that they were all alone, and from the sounds of lovemaking coming from Erin’s room, things had clearly progressed rapidly.
“I, er…” Erin began, visibly embarrassed.
The moans and sighs from the next room were speeding up, the couple apparently reaching their climax already.
He raised his eyebrows in wonder, and when his eyes met Erin’s, suddenly they both had to laugh. The situation was so ridiculous.
“I’m sorry about this,” he began. “Burke is—”
“Sophie is quite uninhibited when it comes to sex.”
“So is Burke. Very much so in fact.”
Erin chuckled. “Looks like they’re a match made in heaven, then.”
“I guess they are.” The sudden levity did much to relieve him of the sorrow he’d experienced when Erin had drawn away from him. And it wasn’t merely the lack of sexual fulfillment either. He actually found himself liking her. A lot. She was funny and smart and clearly a great person. If only he were as nice as she was, they might be compatible as well.
As it was, he decided to take his sexual desire and sit on it. Though he still wanted to make her his, it was now clear to him she was much too nice to be simply another notch on his belt.
“Perhaps we should clean up a bit?” she suggested when the silence between them became unbearable once again.
“I’ll help you.”
He’d actually intended for this ‘burglary’ to be the prelude to his suggestion she join him in his cabin on the beach, where she’d be much safer, but now decided to drop that crazy idea.
It was bad enough he’d scared the living daylights out of her, then had tried to jump her bones like some hormonally challenged teenager. Enough was enough.
“I was wondering,” she said when their eyes met over Sophie’s suitcase as he hoisted it back onto the bed. “Do you think there are more of those cabins available? I mean,” she quickly continued, “it seems to me they’d be a lot safer than this place. And much nicer too, so close to the beach and all?”
Too stupefied for words, he merely nodded.
“Perhaps you could help Sophie and me find one? I mean, if it’s not too much trouble and all?”
“Sure,” he said, finally finding his tongue again. “I’ll talk to my landlord. He’s sure to have a couple available at a very reasonable price.”
“Oh, just the one will do. Sophie and I can share.” She hesitated, then added, “Would they be far from your… cabin?”
He smiled. “As it happens, I think the one right next to me is free. At least, the guy who took it left last week, and there hasn’t been anyone since.”
She inclined her head gratefully. “That would be great. You see, it’s just us two girls out here, and I didn’t really consider things might get this…” She involuntarily licked her lips and shot him a curious look. “… dangerous.”
She didn’t know what she’d expected to find. A cabin on the beach. It had sounded quite catchy when he’d first coined the term. It had sparked her imagination, and she had wondered if on those long nights alone on the beach, Raminar Bradley often spent time thinking about the woman who’d broken his heart.
For of that she was certain. At some point in the recent past, this fascinating man’s heart had been broken by a treacherous woman who’d crushed it under her heel.
He had that look, though how she knew she couldn’t say. The look of a man who’s been hurt and has turned away from the world to spend his days and his nights alone.
Perhaps it was all a bunch of romantic hooey, she now thought as she surveyed their new place.
“This is really nice,” intoned Sophie.
Nice wasn’t exactly the word that came to mind as she studied the small bedroom and the barely serviceable bathroom.
Compared to the hotel room they’d left behind, this was a huge leap back in both comfort and space. Perhaps they should have stayed at the hotel after all? At least there they had three meals a day, while here…
“What do we do for food?”
Burke, who stood hovering in the door, his dark eyes never leaving Sophie’s ass, murmured, “Plenty of places around, honey. Food’s the least of your worries.”
She wheeled around to face the big guy. “What
are
the things we should be worried about then?”
He gave her a big fat grin. “Lechers.”
Sophie giggled in delight, and quickly moved over to her lover. He immediately grabbed her buttocks and hoisted her up against him while he stuck his tongue down her throat. Judging from her soft moans, she seemed to relish the treatment.
Oh, God. Perhaps they should have followed Ram’s advice and taken two cabins instead of just the one. If Sophie was going to turn this place into a den of depravity, she didn’t want to have a front row seat. She quickly stalked out, closing the door behind her.
The cabin was located on the edge of a small dune that divided it from the beach, and she’d only walked thirty yards before she found herself taking in the breathtaking vista of the soft sandy beach rolling down to a clear blue sea.
So Ram had been right. This really was a ‘cabin on the beach’.
Her mood lifted considerably as she plunked down on the hot sand, and allowed the sound of the lapping waves to ease her mind.
She hadn’t sat there five minutes when steps sounded behind her.
“Hey there. Settling in all right?”
She didn’t have to look up to know it was Ram. A ripple of electric current shot up her spine when he sat down next to her, and suddenly she wondered what it would feel like to lie in his arms, watching the waves lick at the beach from the vantage point of his embrace.
She’d experienced firsthand how dangerous it was to allow herself to go there, though, so she primly ignored the urge.
Back at the hotel, she’d allowed herself to be swept up in the moment, kissing a total stranger just because she suddenly felt the urge to do so.
Now she wanted to assure Ram that she wasn’t that kind of girl, but didn’t know how to do that without making a complete fool of herself once again, so she said nothing.
She now realized Ram had asked a question, and she quickly said, “We’re fine. Just fine.”
He chuckled. “You don’t sound fine, Erin, if I may say so. You sound more… annoyed in fact.” He glanced over at her. “I hope it’s not me?”
“Oh, no,” she was quick to assure him. “It’s just that…” She rolled her eyes. “Sophie and Burke. They’re at it. Again. And I—”
“They kicked you out, didn’t they?”
“Well, I left. I didn’t want to… disturb them.”
He chuckled lightly. “
I
would have left if I’d been forced to watch Burke doing the horizontal mambo. Some images you simply can’t unwatch.”
She grinned. The thought of Sophie and Burke actually annoyed the hell out of her, though she hadn’t admitted it to herself before now. “It’s just that… we came here to have a good time, you know, but now it’s as if she’s having a good time all by herself, and I…” She shook her head, not knowing how to express the disappointment she felt.
“You feel as if she deserted you?”
“Something like that. Which is stupid, I know. I mean, she’s her own person. She can do whatever she wants. It’s not as if we had this understanding that we would spend all our time together. But still…”
Ram picked up a twig and drew circles in the sand. “I’m pretty pissed with Burke myself, actually. I invited him over for a business deal, but all he seems to be doing is—”
“Fucking around?”
He gazed up at the unusually harsh words. He could probably tell she wasn’t used to refer to the act of lovemaking in these crude terms.
“Exactly.”
“What kind of business?”
He shrugged, seemingly reluctant to broach the subject. It intrigued her. She hadn’t pegged Raminar as a businessman. “I thought you were military, actually,” she said therefore, when he remained silent.
“I was. Special forces for fifteen years. I retired last year.”
“Retired. And you’re still so young.”
“Early retirement, actually. Besides, fifteen years in the military is like dog years. Hopping around the globe fighting wars is tough business.”
She’d never met a soldier before, and to meet one now had her curiosity piqued. Especially one as easy to talk to as Ram. Even though they’d only met that morning, she felt as if she’d known him her whole life.
“I’m an architect myself. Well, at least I studied architecture. But now I don’t know if I’ll ever be one.”
When he didn’t respond, she figured her life was probably too boring for him, but then he said, “My dad was an architect. He always thought I’d follow in his footsteps. I remember as a kid being fascinated by the designs he made. I could never understand how a bridge that could carry the weight of trains and trucks and cars started its life on my dad’s desk. I thought it was like magic.”
He smiled wistfully at the thought, and she felt a sudden urge to take his hand in hers.
“He died last year.” He stared off across the ocean, his voice soft and filled with sadness. “He and Mom both.”
She didn’t know what to say so she remained silent. Her hand did steal over to his, then, and when he laced his fingers through hers, she felt the connection extend beyond the physical.
They were shoulder to shoulder, and watched as the sun started to set on the horizon, casting its brilliant light across the waves.
She leaned her head against his shoulder, and when he slung his arms around her, she relished the embrace.
“This is magic hour,” he whispered. “When the sun makes way for the moon? That’s when magic happens.”
And when his lips found hers, she knew that magic had indeed happened, and this time she didn’t resist.
Ram didn’t know what he’d expected, but it most definitely hadn’t been this. The girl who kissed him back wasn’t some innocent coed but a real woman, who gave as well as she took.
Stab for stab, she parried and riposted and when they found themselves in the sand, she was the one pinning him down and not the reverse.
She quickly stripped off her t-shirt, and the sight of her pearly white breasts, gentle nubs of pink rising in the center, took his breath away. In the quickly disappearing light she was almost luminous, and so fucking gorgeous he could have died and gone to heaven.
He reached for her, but the sly smile playing about her lips told him she had other plans.
“Not yet,” she murmured, and reached down and stripped open his shirt, her hands pushing down on his chest as she bucked her hips against the saddle of his groin.
He thrust up, and she emitted a throaty sound that had him hornier than a bull primed for breeding.
If he couldn’t have her now, he would simply shoot his load into his pants, so instead, he decided to follow her lead and put his unrestrained lust on a tight leash.
He wanted to enjoy every second, and the longer he could postpone the inevitable, the better it suited both him and her.
She moved down, then, and slowly released his burgeoning length from the confines of his khaki slacks. His cock swung free and landed in her hand, where it lay pulsating against her slender fingers.
“My, my,” she breathed, her eyes wide with astonishment, and for a moment simply held him, holding his towering rod in the palm of her hand.
Then she slowly leaned in, and placed her lips on the mushroomy tip, her eyes locked on his. The sight of those bewitching eyes over that sensuous mouth devouring his cock almost had him shooting out his first load straight between enchanted lips.
The heat from her mouth threatened to overpower him, and he slammed his head back into the sand.
