“Team Bitch, Please!” Hayley says, laughing.
I took my original sketch of Chicken and modified it so it looks like he’s hanging from a chandelier by one paw. “The song Chandelier and Chicken just seem to go together,” I explain.
“I’m so going to need one of those too,” Ryan says.
Duncan strips off his t-shirt and puts on the new one. “This is the best thing ever, Iz. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” I step toward him and let him pull me into his arms.
“Slam Dunc, if you’re up for it,” Hector says, “I was thinking of selling the shirts at the box and donating half the proceeds to Wounded Warrior. I know it’s meant to be special to you, but—”
“That’s a fantastic idea,” Duncan says.
“Cool.” Hayley chooses a shirt in her size. “Because I want to sell them at my box too.”
“We could also sell them at the shelter,” Ryan adds.
Duncan laughs, pressing his forehead to mine. “I think everything’s about to change again.”
I take a deep breath and plant my feet firmly on the ground. “I’m ready.”
