As much as it hurt and I hated that time, I couldn't help but laugh at his admission.

He quickly looked back at me.

At first he looked at me unsure, but that quickly turned into a smile and he started to laugh himself.

"That was pretty dumb." I laughed with tears in my eyes.

"I know." He smiled back at me wiping a single tear away from my cheek, replacing it with a single kiss, making my heart swell.

"So, will you go on a date with me?" he asked hopefully again.

I looked away, as though I was thinking about it.

"Um, I don't know it's a good idea." I teased. "I'm not sure Ricky would like it." I said biting my lip to stop myself from laughing or smiling.

Looking back at him I saw his expression fall into one of sadness.

"Oh, I guess you’re right." He replied in sadness and looking away from me, making my heart hurt.

I couldn't take it and just as he went to stand up I stopped him, grabbing his arm.

He stopped and looked at me, giving me such a sad look.

Before he had a chance to say anything I crashed my lips into him.

He kissed me back after only a couple of seconds, grabbing the back of my head and pulling me in closer.

The kiss was desperate and needy.

I tried to pull away, but couldn't, and he started to tail kisses down my cheek as I turned my head.

"Nate" I giggled and he stopped and looked up at me.

"I'm sorry." He said back still in a sad tone.

"Nate, I was only kidding."

He tipped his head to the side and looked at me.

"I mean I would love to go out with you." I told him.

He pursed his lips, but also smirked at the same time.

"That wasn't a nice thing to do Missy." He said in a deep breathy voice whist leaning into my neck.

I shivered and let out a moan as he leaned and placing kisses on my neck as he moved back up to my lips.

I crossed my eyes and tipped my head back, letting him continue.

Reaching my lips, he placed several small kisses from one side of my lips to the other making me smile.

After placing one more kiss on the center of my lips, he stopped and pulled away with a huge grin.

My cheeks must been bright red by then, because my face felt like it was on fire.

"You are so cute." He say running his fingers down my neck.

"Do you feel it?" He asked.

I gave him a puzzled look.

"When we kiss? Do you feel theum " He verified, but didn't continue because I knew what he was talking about.

I smiled as I remembered how my body felt when he kisses me and how my lips tingle.

I nod in reply. "The tingles?" I half answer, half asked.

He smiles happily realizing I felt the same. "Yes."

Sitting side by side with his arm around me, I couldn't believe how close we had gotten in such a short time.

After that we just sat in comfortable silence whilst he held me.

Until at least I remembered the others waiting inside the house.

I bit my lip before saying. "So what about Matt, Ricky and everyone?" I asked.

He let out a sigh. "We will have to explain and talk to them Well at least Ricky"

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Why only Ricky?" I ask confused.

He gave me an innocent smile.

"Remember when you heard me talking to them yesterday?" He explained to me, I opened my mouth and gave him a knowing look.

"Oh, I get it. So you really were speaking about me?" I ask my heart full of hope.

"Yes Honey, I was." he said placing another kiss on my cheek.

Dean

A few hours earlier

I waited for Heather to come down to breakfast.

To my surprise my two older brothers were already up and gone, not that I cared much.

After yesterday I was more than pleased to have them, especially with Nathan out of my way.

Heather got up after an hour of waiting. I was almost pacing by this point.

But quickly acted normal when I heard her coming.

My mother and father were out of the house god knows where, so it was only her and I.

"Morning." I said as she walked into the kitchen.

"Morning to you too." S
he replied back sounding cheerily.

She grabbed herself some breakfast and sat down opposite me.

"So what you doing today?" I asked already knowing the answer.

"I'm going to hang out with Hope at her house. I just got to call her first." She answered whilst still eating.

"What about you?" She asked me as she took another mouth full of her food.

"Nothing really."

"You wanna go to Hope's with me?" She asked like I knew she would.

I agreed.

She finishes her breakfast and goes upstairs to finish getting ready.

After another hour of waiting she is finally done.

By this point I had moved into the living area.

"I tried to call her a few times, but she's not answering. She probably just forgotten her phone in her room again." She told me as she walked into the room.

"You ready?" She asks.

I nod and we head on out the house.

Heather and I walk the short distance to Hope's house.

When we arrive at the house, I noticed Hope's car was still in the drive.

I smiled as we headed to the door.

Heather knocked a couple of times, but there was no answer.

"She's probably in the back somewhere. Come on." She said opening the door, which was unlocked and stepping inside.

Closing the door behind me, I followed closely behind, until she came to an abrupt stop outside the living room doorway.

She was standing there, starring open mouthed at something inside.

I moved slightly forward I was shocked and horrified by what I saw.

There in the middle of the room stood Nathan kissing Hope.

They were pulling away and saying something I couldn't and didn't really care to hear to each other.

Only after that did Hope turn and notice me and Heather standing and watching.

Hope took a quick step back from Nate.

Heather’s mouth was hung open, while I continued to glare at my brother.

Hope turns to Nate, who opens his mouth to speak, but I cut him off first.

"Don't even bother." I growl, feeling as though I could kill someone and then run from the house.

I continue until I arrive back at my house.

I was surprised that no one had followed me back.

I got into the house and ran up to my room.

"How the hell could he do this to me! He knew how much I liked her!" I yell to myself.

I spent the next hour in a similar fashion, pacing back and forth.

Getting tired, I threw myself on my bed and took my phone from my pocket.

I scrolled through the many pictures I had of Hope.

Mostly taken without her knowing.

I looked over one picture of her in the pool with Heather.

"How could you do this to me?" I asked her sadly.

I couldn't help but think it was out of her character and she wouldn't.

"But I saw her" I told myself.

I thought back to what happened.

Hope stood there red faced and puffy eyed.

And that's when it hit me.

She didn't do it.

I knew she wouldn't, she would never hurt me like that.

"He must have forced her!" I told myself. "That's why she was crying."

My anger took over as I thought about what he did.

"He knew she was mine!" I growled.

I spent the rest of the morning thinking about what I was going to do and how hurt Hope must have been about how I left things.

'I'm sorry my love. I will protect you from him. Just remember what I told you yesterday.'
I messaged her, referring to my text message I sent her yesterday.

With that I continued to scroll through more photos of her and thought of what to do next.

CHAPTER TEN

Siblings

Nathan

I couldn't be happier than I was right now.

I had kissed Hope and she had kissed me back.

She had agreed to go on a date with me too.

I was happily shocked to find out that she liked me too.

If it weren’t for Dean rushing out, it would have been the best day ever.

But now I think about it, I still think it is either way.

I know I should probably be taking things slowly, but I can't help it.

After so many years of waiting and thinking this would never happen.

I can't hold it back anymore, I just have the need to kiss and hold her constantly.

I told her I like her because I didn't want to scare her away by telling her I love her so soon.

We both decided that we would finally head but inside and speak to Ricky about everything.

I grabbed a hold of Hope's hand. "Come on, we should probably go in before he gets more angry."

Hope pouted and stuck out her bottom lip.

I leaned in and took it into my mouth, then gave her another kiss.

But pulled away before it could get too deep.

Hope gave me a disappointed look.

I smiled and stoked her cheek. "Sorry, but you know I'm right."

"I know." She says, standing up.

I stood up too, whilst still holding her hand.

She started to walk towards the back door and I followed her lead.
