“I'm ready now,” she responded, though she was so scared she would have run if Mark hadn't been holding her arm so firmly.

Mark's heart had become a pounding drum as he held her arm, her pheromones were stirring him like crazy.  As they walked to the door of the garden he saw Jonathan standing there with an equally astounded look.  Mark realized at that moment that he loved both of them.  He also was filled with pride to be their friend and to be the one to present such a beauty to his best friend and soon to be Prince.

As Jonathan took her hand he thought he would burst with pride.  Everyone was oohing and aahing.  He knew his family was watching from back home and that this was the first time they had seen her.  She couldn't possibly have been more beautiful!  He felt in awe of her.  His heart was beating a tune of its own making as they walked to the Priest.

Melody, you're a wreck!  Look at his eyes, look at his eyes!
She forced her eyes away from the smiling faces and looked at Jonathan's face.  He placed an arm around her back and led her up the steps to their Priest.

Once they were still she watched Jonathan as he turned to look at her.  His eyes were bright and shining.  Those were the eyes of the man she loved with all her heart.  She wasn't sure what all was said, she answered yes each time Jonathan motioned toward the priest with his eyes.  Every time he said yes his eyes would deepen to another shade of blue.

Mark handed them each rings made of something that looked like mother-of-pearl, which was surrounded on both sides with diamonds.  She placed the ring on Jonathan's hand after he slid her's on her finger.  The priest picked up a small crown and placed it on Jonathan's head, then placed a smaller one on her head.

The priest said something, she couldn't understand it, then he handed her a jewel encrusted goblet and said for her to drink.  She drank the sweet juice then started to hand it back, he indicated for her to empty the glass.  She did so.  Then Jonathan was given the same goblet but refilled with the juice.  As he drank she realized that she felt he had become a part of her very soul.  His face and body became the essence of all needs for her.  With him she had all she could ever want.

These feelings became desire as well.  To share her body with him and connect their souls with the stars was her need now.

He emptied the glass and looked at her with all the love the world could hold.  His eyes were deep, deep blue but she felt no pain, just desire and love, deep, true love.

The priest touched them both on the forehead then on both shoulders.  After this he turned them around to face the crowd.     Melody suddenly actually saw the garden, it was beautiful!  Tiny lights twinkled in all the trees, lanterns were strung around the perimeter, and balloons with glittering streamers filled the iridescent canopy overhead.  Flowers were everywhere.  “Oh, Jonathan, isn't it beautiful?!  They have done all this for us.  Everything is so perfect.  The ceiling looks like jewels thrown in the sky.”

“You’re the only jewel I see.  By the way, how about a kiss for the groom?”

“Jon, are you sure?  In front of all these peop . . . .”

He was kissing her before she had finished.  A deep, long, loving kiss.  They held each other in that post-ceremony embrace for a long time.  When they parted everyone in the room cheered.

They were led to another beautifully decorated tent.  There were rows and rows of tables loaded with china, crystal and silver.  As they walked to the cake Melody saw that the theme of her pendant was repeated with the cakes.  Instead of a regular bride and groom there were replicas of Jon and her including their crowns and clothes.

After cutting the cake Jonathan whispered teasingly, “Can we go now?”

“No, my love, we have to greet our guests and open our presents.  Besides, don't you want to dance with the bride?”

Mark overheard her.  He ordered the partition open and the band inside began to play.

Jonathan held her very possessively as he waltzed her around the room.  Either the excitement or maybe it was the sweet drink the Priest had given her, but one or both was making her giddy.  When the dance was over she whispered for Jonathan to help her sit down.

She tried to eat some of the food that was constantly being served her but she lacked an appetite.  She suddenly found herself very frightened, she knew what would come next.

Jonathan did much better with his fare, be acted as if he was starving.  After they finished they were going to go into the room with the presents.  Melody stumbled slightly as she rose.  Jonathan steadied her.  Looking down at her beautiful dress she feared that as intoxicated as she was becoming she might spill something and ruin it.  Why she was getting drunk she had no idea, she had only taken a few sips of the delicious wine they poured her.  Everything began to look unreal to her.

“Jonny, should I go change?  I don't want to ruin this dress.”  She had started unbuttoning several of the top buttons when Jonathan placed his hand over hers.

“No, darling, you are a special gift given to me from God.  And I'm the only one who gets to unwrap this package.”  Turning to get Mark's attention he held her wobbly body steady.

“Jonny, I'm sorry, but I think someone slipped me a Mickey,” she was loudly whispering in his ear, unsuccessfully trying to stand on her tiptoes.

“Mark, we have to leave now, spread the word.”

He held her with both arms as he turned her to face him.  “I only drank the drink the Priest gave me, and I only took three . . . count 'em . . . . three sl-ips, uh, of wine.  You have the sexiest eyes and body I have ever seen.  Jonny, my heart, I love you, yes, I really, really do.”

       “I know Baby, I know.”

She started giggling as he literally picked her up and carried her out of the tent.  “I've been a bad girl Jonny, I wanted to kiss you all over last night.  I wanted to make mad, passionate love to you.”  She looked around dizzily and asked, “Where are we going?”

Jonathan was walking along a flower bordered path that led to a side door of the house.  As he started up the staircase Melody picked one of the roses that was decorating the banister.  His bedroom door had been wreathed with more flowers.

When they entered his room he shut the door with his foot.

Hearing the door slam shut Melody asked, “Jonny . . . where are we?”  He slowly lowered her feet to the floor.

CHAPTER FOUR: THE FIRST NIGHT

“This is my . . . this is our bedroom,” Jonathan explained to Melody once they were inside the room.

“Ohhh . . . .” She was looking around at the baskets of flowers that abounded, then she saw the flowers twined around the posts of the four poster bed, “I . . . see.”  He helped steady her as she turned around in a circle looking at everything with her eyes getting bigger every second.  He felt her start to shake again.

“I'm thirsty!” she suddenly said.  He held her with one arm as he leaned over to a table and poured her a glass of ice water.  He tried to hand her the glass but she just looked at it.

“I'll spill that drink on my dress and ruin it.”  Looking down at her dress she started unbuttoning it again.

“Here, that's my job,” Jonathan said as he began doing it himself.  He knelt to get to the lower buttons.  As he was almost finished he looked up and saw tears in her eyes.

“Melody, Sweetheart . . . what's wrong?” he asked standing to his feet again.  Stepping back to look at her face he began to search her mixed up emotions.

Just as he reached the one he knew was her real problem she threw herself into his arms and cried, “Jonny, I'm so scared!”

“I know you are, my Dove, I know you are.  But don't be.”  He tried to send her reassurance but effects of the drink she had during the ceremony was hindering him.  It was supposed to have aided their mental bonding, but her fear was so strong that it was blocking most of the sensations he tried to give her.

“Will it be painful?  Will I bleed and bleed and be disgusting to you?”

“You, my lovely, could never be disgusting to me, and I swear to you that I won't hurt you.”
Please God,
he thought,
let me keep that promise.
He caressed her gently then kissed her while trying to release all his love for her so she might feel it and be comforted.

Suddenly she asked, “Jonny, have we completed the Bonding yet?”

Smiling, knowing she was extremely confused, he answered, “Yes darling, we've completed the Bonding.”

“Thank God!  Was it great?  Uh, was it okay?”

He chuckled lightly a moment, then he answered, “Yes Precious, it was fantastic, beyond anything I had imagined.”  He felt her relax immediately.  He sensed the chemicals inside her take a swift turn and they began to react on her as was intended.  Her fear had been blocking them causing intoxication instead of relaxation and arousal.

“Jonathan . . . .”  She began kissing his neck and suddenly nuzzled his ear.

       “What sweetheart?”

She pulled her arms away and stepped out of her wedding dress.  She began to lift the undergarment up from the hem.  He saw she was willingly trying to undress for him.

“Here, let . . . me,” he said thickly, picking her up.  Tenderly he laid her on the big bed.  Instead of taking the garment off over her head, he started kissing her face and neck. Then slowly, ever so slowly, pulled the cloth downward, kissing and touching every inch as he went.  When it was off, he looked down at her and felt as though he had won the greatest prize known to man.  He took her shoes off, then her garter belt and stockings, nibbling and kissing every toe.         Her breathing had become rapid and uneven again, but this time it wasn't fear, it was excitement.  Jonathan felt well pleased with himself.  He quickly took his own clothes off, ripping his shirt in the process.

Starting at her toes he slowly ran his hands up her body, moving the spread away that she was using to cover up with as he kneaded, stroked and kissed as he journeyed.

When he was face to face with her again he asked, “What do you see in my eyes?”

Grabbing his hair and kissing the tip of his nose she gigglingly replied, “Lust, I see lots and lots of lust.”

Grinning back at her he said, “I know you see . . . as well as feel my lust, but, what else do you see?”

She seriously looked into his eyes, his violet eyes and saw, as well as felt, love, the deepest love in the universe.

With all fear gone and only passion in its place they began sharing each other with mutual enjoyment.

“Jon, Baby . . . you don't have to be . . . so gentle now,” she whispered when her desire for all of him started driving her insane.

“I promised you I wouldn't hurt you, and I'm not going to,” was his only response.

“But, I need more of you . . . now,” she begged, whispering breathlessly.

That's what he had been waiting for.  So with continued gentleness he complied with her request.  He was using all his mental power trying to make it last for her.  They suddenly looked into each other's eyes as they were burst into a shared journey of joy and love that took them far beyond all the known galaxies until they reached infinity.

Their Bonding was now complete, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

As they lay in each other's arms they felt a completeness neither had ever known existed.  As they started to withdraw their bodies they were filled again with a strong mutual need for each other.  It happened to them again and again until they fell asleep, intertwined, exhausted.

Melody opened her eyes and found Jonathan's blue eyes smiling at her.  “Don't you have a pleased look on your face.  You look like the cat that swallowed the canary.”

“I do have a pleased look on my face, do you know why?”

Melody guessed, “Is it because we made love?  Or is it because you know I worship you?”

“Both and more, a lot more.”  He brushed his lips against her ear and moaned as she touched his body.

After they made love again, Jonathan decided, “We need sustenance.  I'll be as weak as a kitten if I don't get some food, and you my delicious morsel, need some sugar, probably lots and lots of sugar.”

They showered together in the large bathroom.  Each looking at and touching one another until their excitement had to be quenched once again.

“You're a dangerous woman.  Does my passion for you have no bounds?”  Jonathan was truly amazed and secretly pleased at his virility.  His stamina was much more than other men discussed having.

“No, none,” she said giggling as she wrapped the towel around herself and began to dry off.

“Here, let me help you,” his sexy leer had suddenly returned while watching her.

“No, I think I better handle this myself,” she insisted.

He noticed her walking oddly as she left the bathroom.  Looking down at himself he realized that he would be walking funny for a while too, as he boldly strolled into the bedroom with his abused excitement leading the way.

“Here, I need to be babied,” he said as he walked over to her.

“You’ve been babied to death,” she laughs, gently pushing him away after noticing what he is referring to.  “I'm getting really hungry.  Do you think they might have some of that food left from last night?” Melody asks.

“What would the heart of my heart like for breakfast?”  He looked at the clock on the table then corrected, “For lunch, that is?”

       “What can I have?”

“Anything your heart desires, the world, no the universe is your oyster.  I'll slay a thousand dragons and lay them at your feet if you want.”

“Silly, there aren't any dragons,” she answered with a teasing smile and a giggle.

“Well, if my fair Lady wants dragons then I'd search the galaxies to find her some.”

“How about slaying me some toast and coffee for starters,” she asked laughingly at his pretentious gallant face.

He walked to the wall console, pushed a button and said, “I desire toast and coffee for milady.  Uh, make that an order for two.  Then we'll be down for an omelet, ham, grits and biscuits with jam, lots of jam.”  He thought a minute then added, “Oh, bring up some orange juice with those coffees, my Baby needs strength!”

“You silly!” she said as she threw a pillow at him blushing.

“Well, you do. Because I'm not through with you yet.”  He raised his arms and growled like a tiger.  After he'd chased her around the room a couple of times she did begin to feel light headed.

Sitting down suddenly on the bed she began to pale slightly.

“Baby!  Are you all right?”  He instantly knelt on the floor in front of her.

The concern in his eyes was real, which made her feel silly.  “I'm fine, I just haven't really eaten in over two days.”

“But last night, weren't you eating the meal at our banquet?” he asked concerned.

“No, I was too nervous, then I got drunk for no real reason.”  She didn't feel too good after all she suddenly realized.

He laid her down and covered her with the soft coverlet.  She started to perspire and her hands were trebly.

Running to the console he yelled into it, “Bring orange juice . . . and sugar in here.  Right now!”

In just a few moments someone knocked on the door.  Jonathan unlocked it, then seeing it was Mark, let him in.  Mark had brought a large tray of hot and cold beverages.

“I'm afraid I made a mess of it running up the stairs.”  Mark was breathless.  Seeing Jonathan's worried face he asked, “Jon, what's wrong?”

He was ignored as Jonathan took a small glass of juice and forced Melody to drink it all.  Then he gave her another glass that he had added two spoons of sugar to the glass.

She drank a little over half then refused more.  “Jon, you're drowning me.  I feel better already, really!”

His face didn't look relieved until he saw the color return to hers.  He sat on the side of the bed and hugged her tightly as he said, “I couldn't bear to see you sick, I never, never want to lose you!”

“Jon, I'm not sick and I'm not planning on you losing me.  I just got low on sugar from not eating, it can happen to anyone, even you.  Mmm, that coffee sure smells good, doesn't it?”

“How do you like it?  Cream and sugar?”  Mark asked.

“Two sugars and lots of cream,” she responded.

“Make that three sugars and lots of cream,” Jonathan corrected her.

“Jonathan, I don't want to get fat!” Melody retorted.
