He sighed and
pulled back far enough to see her face again. “Hell, yeah. I thought about it,
but I did most of my surveillance from my office on the other side of town. I was
actually hardly ever there except when I was setting up the equipment or making
adjustments. You and I were never actually there at the same time.”

“But you watched
me. You knew my schedule. Couldn’t you have made a special trip?”

He took a
fortifying sip from his glass and signalled the bartender to bring her a glass
of wine. “Listen, I never actually saw you in person, but I was fairly certain
that you’d probably call the cops on me if I approached you on the street.”

“Why would I do
that?” She smiled absently at the bartender as he set down her glass in front
of her.

“You said it
yourself: I look like I should be in lockdown, trying to avoid dropping the
soap in the shower. Talking to classy ladies isn’t exactly my strong suit. In
case you haven’t noticed, I’m not exactly the poetry and flowers type.”

“C’mon,” she
scoffed. “You must know how attractive you are.”

“And you should
know the same thing, but that doesn’t seem to be the case, now does it?” He
gave her a smug smile.

She rolled her
eyes. “Ok. Fine. Good point. But you would have saved us a lot of trouble if
you`d just asked me for coffee,” she grumbled.

He nodded and
toyed with one of the curls that had fallen out of her ponytail. “Fair enough.
But I strongly suspect you would have chopped me off at the knees if I’d
cornered you at the gym. Like that douche-bag personal trainer who was panting
after you. That fucker nearly got a barbell in the teeth.” His face became
positively ominous at the memory and the bartender, who’d been about to ask Sam
if he wanted a refill, quickly changed his mind and began cleaning glasses at
the other end of the bar.

”Oh my God. You
saw Darryl ask me out?”

“No, but I may
have accidentally listened to him tell some of his juice-head buddies about all
the weird shit he was going to do to you. Believe me, you did the right thing
avoiding that freak. He wasn’t right in the head. Especially after you started
avoiding him. He took that a little personally and I may have had a little chat
with him.”

“What? Is that
why he quit? Because of you?” Her voice went up a few octaves in surprise.

“I had footage
of him selling cocaine in the locker room. He left to avoid prosecution.”

“Wouldn’t that
get you in trouble? Blackmailing him, I mean.”

He chuckled. “Probably.
Totally worth it to watch him squirm in his inappropriately tight shorts.”

 She threw her
hands up. “I don’t know what to say. I can’t believe all this was going on and
I had no idea. Is there anything else I need to know? Like your last name
maybe?”

“It’s Bright.
Other than that all you really need to know is that I want you. And not just to
finish what we started on the plane. I think there’s more here than just a night
of sweaty fun. How about you?” He started to lean down to kiss her, but she
held up her hand again to ward him off. Again.

“Hold on.
Bright? As in Miss Bright?”

“Yup. My
sister.”

“So, let me get
this straight. You work for law enforcement and your sister is a pimp.”

He rubbed his
forehead, clearly in distressed at the thought. “Don’t remind me. And my best
friend owns the company. That would be Nick, the groom.” He gave a
long-suffering sigh. “Now, answer my question. Are you ready to forgive me? And
do you think there’s something real here between us besides some truly
explosive chemistry?”

She gave him a
long, assessing look and then nodded. “I think it’s very sweet that you were
trying to save me all this time. Your methods were misguided and kind of
stalkerish, but I do think your heart was in the right place. You still need to
make it up to me though.”

“And how will I
do that exactly?”

“Well, you did
sabotage my fantasy.”

He gave her a
surprised look. “You mean you didn’t go through with it?”

“No. Of course
not. Did you think I came here, freshly devirginized by Clark?”

“Well, yeah. This
whole time I’d been imagining you with him. Hence the brooding by myself in the
corner like a loser.”

“There wasn’t
anything to brood about. I didn’t go through with it.”

“Why?”

“If I tell you,
do you promise your ego won’t get inflated?”

 He gave her a
wicked grin. “Trust me, it’s not my ego that’s inflated right now.”

Mona elbowed him
in the ribs and rolled her eyes. “You`re kidding.”

“No, I’m really
not.” He surreptitiously brought her hand down to the juncture of his thighs.

Mona allowed him
to wrap her fingers around his prominent erection. He felt huge beneath his
zipper. She looked around quickly but no one was even aware of them. Even the
bartender was watching the Macarena being performed badly by the guests.

She gave him a
little squeeze that made him groan “You mean, we’ve been having this serious
discussion and you’ve been like this the whole time?”

He brushed his
fingers along the slope of her breast in a gesture that was so fleeting she
thought she’d imagined it, until he repeated it. Twice. Her nipples instantly
hardened and strained against the fabric of her gown.

Sam stared down
at her breasts, admiring his handy-work. “This is your fault. If you weren’t so
fucking sexy I’d be able to have a rationale conversation without thinking
about how you tasted on the plane. Now, tell me why you didn’t fulfill your
fantasy.”

She took a deep
breath and then reached up and cupped his cheek with the hand that wasn’t
buried in his lap. “The truth is that I couldn’t go through with it because the
whole time, I was thinking of you.” She shrugged. “Poor Clark didn’t stand a
chance.”

“Good answer.”
He gave her an intense look. “Cause this weekend, all your fantasies belong to
me. Okay?”

 She nodded. “That’s
exactly what I had in mind. You definitely owe me one. Maybe more than one.”

Then she was in
his arms and every fantasy she`d ever had paled in comparison to the reality of
being with this man, the right man, again.

*****

From across the room Miss Bright
watched this scene unfold with a huge smile on her face. She loved it when a
client’s fantasy worked out, even if it hadn’t gone exactly as planned. Carlos
would probably disagree but she would consider this particular scenario yet
another success for Delta of Venus Inc.

Epilogue

Just the huge pale moon illuminated
their passage through the inky darkness behind the tent. Sam’s big hand was
wrapped securely around Mona’s as they made their way towards the infinity pool
she had admired on her way to the wedding reception earlier that evening.

When they
reached the dimly-lit pool deck he paused and turned her towards him. She knew
exactly what to expect as his mouth came crashing down on hers. He couldn’t
seem to stop kissing her. Since they’d reunited at the wedding just a few hours
ago, either his hands or his lips had been on her at all times. And she loved
it. Every touch expressed how much he wanted her and it was unbelievably
exciting to be desired by a man like Sam. There was just something about him
that pushed all her buttons and made her senses come sizzling to life. She
couldn’t wait to share her fantasy with him, even if it was probably pretty
tame by his standards.

“God. You’re so
fucking gorgeous,” he whispered against her lips. “What is it about this dress
that makes me want to rip it off you? With my teeth if necessary.” He palmed
her bottom through the sheer material and pulled her up tight against his chest.

Mona was suddenly
very glad she’d stopped at that overpriced boutique in her former resort’s
lobby. She’d splurged on the cobalt blue, one-shouldered gown with the dangerously
high slit up the thigh because it made her feel like a goddess. It went
perfectly with the bejeweled silver sandals with the five inch heels she’d
picked up on sale.

“Do you think
anyone will come looking for us?” She asked, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Chuckling, he
tugged her even closer and bit down softly on her one bare shoulder. “Wow. You
actually sounded hopeful there. What a depraved little exhibitionist you’re
turning into.”

In retaliation,
she gave the back of his chin-length hair a sharp tug.

“Ow. Sadistic
too. ” He rubbed the back of his head. “You are just a basket of kinkiness,
aren’t you?”

“I kinda am,
aren’t I?” Mona said proudly. “Who knew?” She slid both hands down his chest
and playfully fingered his nipple piercings through his tuxedo shirt. “But I
don’t think I can be a kinky virgin. They’re mutually exclusive terms, aren’t
they?”

“Evidently they
can co-exist, but only in one very special lady.” He looked vaguely embarrassed
at that sentiment but quickly recovered his usual teasing manner. “In your
case, they go together perfectly. Like beer and pizza.”

“Ahhhh. And you
say you’re not the hearts and flowers type.”

His hand
wandered down the outside of her thigh, found the high slit her dress and slid
under the silky material. He raked his short nails up her inner thighs, causing
gooseflesh to break out on her delicate skin. “I’m really more the screams and
moans type.”

She arched one
eyebrow at him. “Big talk. I think there’s a romantic under all the hair,
tattoos and attitude.”

He looked at her
steadily, with an arrogant tilt to his lips. “Is that a challenge?”

She stared up at
the dark sky and pretended to think about it. “I believe it is.”

“Fine. Prepare
to have laryngitis tomorrow.” His hand possessively cupped her silk-covered mound
under her dress as he leaned down to kiss her.

She held her
fingers up to his lips before he could swoop into toe-curling, back-arching,
orgasm-inducing action. “First we have a fantasy to fulfill. Then you can prove
your manly ability to make me scream myself hoarse.”

He kissed her
fingertip. “Can’t we do both?” He asked playfully, sucking her index finger
into his mouth.

Damn, that was
hot. Mona nearly lost her train of thought as Sam proceeded to toy with the tip
of her finger with his tongue. The action reminded her of how he’d briefly
played with her clit on the plane that day and she felt her core surge with
moisture as she recalled the pleasure he was able to coax from her body so
effortlessly.

“Whew. You are
so distracting,” she said, gently removing her fingers from his wicked mouth
she covered his eyes with her palm instead. “Just close your eyes and let me do
this. You owe me, remember?” She slid out of his arms. “Keep ‘em closed now.”

He grimaced but
didn’t open his eyes. “Hey. Where’re you going? If this fantasy of yours
involved LESS physical contact then I’m officially not a fan.”

“Just be
patient.” Mona giggled and watched him carefully as she silently removed her sparkly
shoes. His sandy eyebrows were drawn down over his closed eyes, giving him a
thunderous expression but his lips were quirked up in an amused half-smile. His
face was so expressive and animated. She loved watching him. He was clearly
torn between wanting to get down to the business of pleasuring her, and playing
out her fantasy. But his eyelashes didn’t flicker, not even when he heard the
sound of her gown’s long zipper going down.

His half grin
turned wolfish. “Now, that sound has possibilities I like. Can I open my eyes?”

Mona shimmied
out of her dress and hung it over one of the nearby lounges. “No. But why don’t
you start counting down from twenty. When you reach zero, you can open your
eyes.”

He crossed his
arms over his wide chest and tipped his head back, exposing his strong throat.
“I swear to God, if this fantasy involves a game of naked hide-and-seek, I am
going to spank you.”

Why did that
declaration make her knees go weak with longing? Was she really that freaky?
Apparently with him, she was. But later. She was playing a different game now.
“No hiding. I promise.”

“Fine.” He
leaned against the frame of one of the nearby cabanas. “Here goes. Twenty.
Nineteen. Eighteen”

“Slower,” Mona
called as she quickly unclasped her strapless bra and flung it onto the lounge
on top of her dress.

He made an
exasperated sound but continued counting down with exaggerated slowness.
“Seventeen. Sixteen. Fifteen.”

Her midnight-blue
panties joined her bra on the lounge and then she was tip-toeing towards the
water, looking back over her shoulder to ensure he wasn’t cheating. Adrenaline
and excitement jolted through her body as she rushed to get herself in place.

“Fourteen.
Thirteen. Twelve.”

The pool was
huge and had three sets of artfully arranged steps in the nearby shallow end
alone. Under-mounted lights illuminated the surface, giving it a glowing quality.
Holding her breath, Mona stepped into the water, hoping to find that it wasn’t
too cold. The last thing she wanted to worry about tonight was shrinkage.

She sighed with
relief when she found that the water was warm and inviting.

“Eleven. Ten.
Nine.”

Trying to make
as little sound as possible, she descended the stairs. Jets of water swirled
around her feet and legs as she carefully stepped downward, trying to avoid an
embarrassing tumble. It would probably sabotage the sexy mood if he had to fish
her out and perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. But then again, even that
brought to mind another potential fantasy.

She wondered how
he’d feel about exploring the whole damsel-in-distress, role-playing scenario.
She had a feeling he’d be open to it. Pretty much anything she desired was a
possibility with Sam. After a lifetime of sexual depravation, she was ready to
unleash her inner vixen. The world was suddenly full of sensual possibilities. She
was so lucky to have found him to share this new and exciting adventure with.
This weekend and maybe longer, if she was brave enough to allow him into her real
life. For now, she would just enjoy these stolen moments with him.

“Eight. Seven.
Six.”

Oh crap. She glanced
back. Was it just her imagination or had his eyes been cracked open? She hoped
not. This wasn’t her best angle. The dim light would probably cover most of her
flaws but she still wasn’t quite ready to have her stretch-marks on display.
She quickly sunk down until she was waist-deep in the water. Oh my. She stopped
in the middle of the pool. The water seemed to be caressing her between her
legs as she waded towards the opposite ledge. It felt incredible.

“Five. Four.
Three.”

She hurried
across the remaining distance, causing water to churn and froth around her
hips. She had to bite her lips to avoid crying out at the remarkable
stimulation between her thighs. When she reached the other side of the pool she
turned and placed her back against the wall. Stretching her arms out to each
side she wrapped her fingers around the rough concrete lip of the pool and
allowed her body to sink into the water until just her face and arms were
visible. She was trying for a casual, sexy pose, so allowed her red-painted
toes to peek playfully out of the water in front of her.

“Two. One.”

Sam opened his
eyes. He quickly scanned the pool until his gaze landed on her, obviously naked
and waiting for him. “I take it that tonight’s meeting of the Hawaiian
Skinny-Dipping Club is now called to order?”

She laughed and
kicked water in his general direction. “First you have to strip. Slowly.”

“Why do I
suddenly feel like I’m at a Chippendales audition?”

“Hmmm… Not part
of my fantasy, but I suppose we could incorporate it if you want. Should we
wait until an appropriately raunchy song comes on?” The strains of an old Frank
Sinatra tune being played by the wedding band could be heard in the distance.

“Hell no. We’ll
be here all night waiting for those old farts to play something that makes me
want to shake my ass.”

“Then proceed.
Shirt first.”

“Bossy little
thing, aren’t you?” He reached for the cuffs of his tuxedo shirt and quickly
unfastened them.

“Pretty sure I
learned that from you. When it’s time for your fantasy, you can be in charge.”

His look turned
predatory as he flicked open the top button of his shirt. “Oh Darlin’. You have
no idea how much I am looking forward to that.”

A feeling of
slight unease rippled through Mona. Was she ready for whatever it was he had in
mind? Probably not. What if he really was into BDSM? He’d said he wasn’t into
pain but that didn’t mean he didn’t enjoy other domination games. He obviously
liked his women submissive. What if he demanded more than she was willing to
experiment with; like watersports or humiliation? Or just about anything she’d
read about in all those kinky erotic romance novels she’d secretly read on her
Kindle. The perversions were endless and it was just possible that he was into
all of them. His sister worked at a fantasy fulfillment agency, for goodness
sake. His best friend owned a huge conglomerate that was responsible for a
major portion of the sex toys and pornography available in the Northern
Hemisphere. He’d probably tried everything and she’d done nothing. She was so
out of his league they were practically playing different sports.

Her apprehension
must have shown because his expression immediately changed from playful to
concerned. “Relax. Baby. I would never do anything that you didn’t want. Ever.
All you have to do is tell me you’re not into it and we’ll try something else.”

“But wouldn’t
you be disappointed if I chickened out like that?”

His eyebrows
shot up in surprise and he shook his head. “Are you kidding me? No way. Even
Missionary-style, lights-out, three-pump sex will be awesome if it’s with you.”

She felt
unexpected tears welling up but quickly blinked them away. “How do you know it
will be good between us? What if I’m terrible?”

He glanced down
at where his tuxedo pants were tented over a truly magnificent erection.
“Honey. What can I say? The dick don’t lie.” He grinned at her shamelessly for
a moment but then turned serious. “You want to know how I know it’ll be good?”
She nodded eagerly. “Look around you.” He spread his arms wide. “Do you see
where we are? There’s fifty wedding guests a stone’s throw from here. A cabana
boy or a maid or the freaking Easter Bunny could come along any second and you
chose this. Not the safe route. But this particular scenario when you could
have had anything. That tells me that you have a wild streak in you. And to me,
that’s what good sex is all about. Not expert technique or freaky positions or
complicated rules of conduct. Though I’m open to that too.” He shrugged.
“What’s important tonight is that my attention is entirely focused on giving
you as much pleasure as one soon-to-be former virgin can handle. So, really,
there’s nothing to worry about. You’re safe with me. Just enjoy the view for
now and let me take care of the rest.” He slowly resumed unbuttoning his shirt
as he gazed into her eyes.

He was so sure
of himself it was almost impossible to doubt him.

“Wow.” She
swallowed back her lifelong tendency to require more assurance and nodded
decisively. He was right. She needed to stop thinking so much. “It’s hard to
argue with that kind of logic, especially when you’re finally about to get
naked.” Mona motioned for him to continue.

He flicked open
another button with exaggerated flair.

“That’s it. Nice
and slow,” she called, taking in every scrap of skin as he revealed it. What
was it about a man in formal wear? So incredibly sexy, especially when doing a
striptease by moonlight just for her.

When he finally
pulled the shirt free from the waistband of his pants and shrugged it off, she
made a very feeble attempt at a wolf whistle.

 “Now the pants,
Hot Stuff.”

He arched an
eyebrow at her. “Hot Stuff? Really?”

“Too much?
Seemed appropriate. You really are incredibly sexy.”  Had she actually said
that? She was getting bolder by the second. She’d be talking dirty like a phone
sex operator in no time if this behaviour continued.

 He toed off one
shiny black shoe and then the other. “I’m not the sexy one here. Look at you,
dangling off the side there like a mermaid. And not the wholesome Disney type
either. We’re talking Ariel’s nymphomaniac cousin. The one who never closed her
legs once she finally got them.”
