Once
again, Gybe reflected, he had drifted off-course. Yeah, he had
helped the wrongly accused – how cliché. And he had
received some financial compensation. The biotech writing assignment
for the magazine was finished. However, illegible notes, misfiring
thoughts, and unresearched questions littered his half-written novel
like the flotsam on too many once-clean shores.

Tomorrow,
he would sail away from this paradise and continue his goal of
sailing about the world.

Susan
cuddled closer. “So sailorman, want to shiver me timbers?”

Meanwhile,
there is tonight.
