Ophelia Donovan wants to move past the loves of her life, two badass bikers in her brother’s MC. When she gave Cash “Ghost” McCall and Louis “Stretch” King, an ultimatum of bringing their relationship out in the open or she’d walk, they chose separation. It crushed Ophelia’s dreams of having a happily-ever-after and family with Ghost and Stretch.
Stretch lives with guilt and pain from the death of his former lover and the injuries he received the same night. For a while, Cash and Stretch worked fine. They’d agreed to choose a woman together to bring into their relationship. Instead, Cash brought Outlaw’s sister in, intending to use her as a shield for Cash’s growing feelings for both Stretch and Fee. The dissolution of their relationship because of Fee’s goading leaves Stretch angry with both of his lovers.
Ghost doesn’t do relationships. He doesn’t have the confidence in himself that he’s equipped for something meaningful. He only knows he loves both Stretch and Ophelia. She wants kids, a house with him and Stretch, and, most of all, an open relationship with them, so open she expects Ghost to go to her brother—his club’s president—and confess all. Even if he did do commitment, he wouldn’t be alive to see it through. Outlaw would kill Ghost, especially after already warning him away. Thanks to Cash’s outrageous plan to throw Outlaw off, he raises the man’s suspicions instead.
Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell knows Ghost is about fun and fucking. He’s in charge of the Bobs, those women trotted out for pleasure at special club occasions. Outlaw’s little sister wants a family and he refuses to allow her to waste her years on a man who’ll walk away in the end. Outlaw’s life has been quiet recently, with every known club threat removed, giving him plenty of time to focus on family.
A biker from a rival club uses Ophelia to get on Outlaw’s good side, leaving her gravely injured, Outlaw in jail, Stretch admitting how important both she and Cash are to him, and Cash determined to never deny his love again.
Warning: Not suitable for anyone under 18. Contains excessive swearing, graphic sex between MMF, taboo subjects, and…Kendall at her finest.
Joanne Holah, it’s been a long time coming, but I didn’t forget. Thank you for encouraging me to write the story of Cash and Stretch.
Mavis Ifegwu and Woody Williams, those pink panties were delicious and inspirational. Of course they had to get into the book.
Kristin Inselman, I hope I’ve done your city proud.
Dear Reader,
This is the end of the road for Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell and his brothers, the final story where club life centers around them. The journey he’s taken me on since the moment he sauntered into my dream until today, has been an amazing one. He’s either loved or hated, as is his nemesis, Kendall. We inhabit Christopher’s world and he only lends page time—and my head space—to everyone else. The end result is the conclusion of Outlaw’s saga, featuring his sister’s love affair with two of his club brothers. Kendall features prominently in the story, doing what she does best—creating havoc. For Kendall’s fans, her behavior may seem like a slap in the face for your loyalty. For her detractors, it’ll be triumph. For me, Kendall will always be one of my most misunderstood characters. At the closing of A Very Christopher Christmas, she wanted to return to her position at the law firm she’d been associated with since she was introduced. Now, in Misfit, Ophelia will realize just how determined Kendall is to accomplish her goals.
Kendall has always been, and will always be, an anti-heroine. I didn’t write her in that capacity. She was simply a woman who had a tough life and ended up with a severe mental illness. I have received a lot of messages and debate regarding just how responsible her depression is for her actions and general behavior. Her role in Ophelia’s decisions won’t help win Kendall any brownie points. But Kendall will be true to herself to the end. I didn’t want to just throw any of the characters in for the sake of having them in the final book. I wanted each character to have relevance to the storyline, while having whatever loose ends still dangling, tied up.
Initially, my intentions were to include the family trees, characters sketches, and my favorite scenes in Misfit. However, I saw some of the finer unresolved plot points in A Very Christopher Christmas that I knew I needed to address for my own peace of mind. Suddenly, in my head, Misfit couldn’t be a novella, so I added the information to the holiday novella. As short as A Very Christopher Christmas was, Misfit is just as long. I kid you fucking not. Hopefully, you enjoy the journey as each character makes life and death decision that will lead to mayhem, mischief, and love that can withstand the test of bullets, blood, guts, gore, and time.
