WHEN IT CAME TO SEAN
, ‘stop’ wasn’t in my vocabulary. Oh god yes, please keep going, holy shit, fuck does that feel good—those were the phrases going through my mind when he touched me, not ‘stop’.

The pad of Sean’s thumb stroked the side of my face and he looked at me with such pure tenderness, my heart melted. I had three days left with him before I returned to a reality where the sun didn’t shine as brightly and colors were on a dimmer setting.

Unlike before, waking up in the morning next to a naked Sean wouldn’t cause panic or regret to flood my system; there would only be happiness that for a brief moment in time, I’d gotten to experience what it was like to be his.

My brain switched off as our lips connected. He nipped, and when I gasped in pleasure, his tongue slid against mine, tasting. Sean groaned as he backed me up against the edge of the bed, breaking the kiss only briefly as he pulled my shirt over my head. Clad in a skimpy bra, a chill brushed my naked skin, causing a shiver to dance up my spine, though I was anything but cold. Sean’s talented fingers were working up a five-alarm fire.

As his lips moved to the side of my neck, he murmured, “Are you sure?”

I shoved his hand down my leggings to show him how sure I was. “You are a dirty girl,” he murmured in approval.

I clawed at his chest, ready to scale him like a goddamn mountain. “Enough talk, more action.”

Sean laughed. “A dirty
bossy
girl.” When I tugged at his belt buckle, he settled his hands over mine. “Patience.”

I growled. “Patience isn’t my strong suit.”

“It will be tonight. I want to take my sweet time with you.”

A yelp escaped as he lifted me up onto the mattress, where I landed with a bounce. The predatory stare in his eyes induced a nervous trepidation in my stomach. I wasn’t a virgin by any stretch of the imagination, but my partners in the past hadn’t been rock stars like Sean. I was afraid my skillset wouldn’t match his.

My doubts flew out the window, as did any brain cells I had left, as he revealed his ripped torso. Holy shit, he resembled a marble statue from the Renaissance era.

“Are you kidding me right now?” I grumbled.

His brows pulled together in confusion. “What?”

“I thought eight-packs were a legend!”

Chuckling, he crawled over me and stole my breath with another toe-curling kiss. Our tongues tangled frantically as he rolled my nipple between his thumb and forefinger. My back arched off the mattress as I moaned in pleasure.

Unhooking my bra, Sean’s attention veered to my bare breasts. His eyes hungrily drank them in, and I had never felt more beautiful than I did under his gaze.

“Jesus Melody,” he said breathily. “You’re fucking perfect.”

“I think you take that title.”

“How ‘bout we call it a tie?”

“Deal.”

My laughter faded into a gasp as Sean bent down and lavished my breast with a tongue just as skillful as his hands. A searing heat bloomed between my thighs and I wiggled on the bed, impatient to feel him inside me.

“Sean,” I said, half pleading. “Pants—off.”

Securing my hands above my head, his dark blue eyes brimmed with dominance, silently asking me to give up control and submit. If it was anyone else, I would have resisted with a steel-enforced will, but Sean was different. He made me feel safe, and I trusted him to respect my boundaries, though I also had a gut instinct those boundaries would soon be pushed to the very brink. Anticipation pumped through my veins.

Sean nipped my earlobe. “Good girl.” He unbuttoned my leggings and pulled them off my legs, then disposed of my lacy white thong as well. I let his gaze memorize every last square inch of my naked body, scars and all.

His fingertip grazed a raised mark near my bellybutton. “What happened?”

“Shrapnel from a car bombing.”

“And this one.” I shivered as he placed his lips against a faded white mark above my hipbone.

“An angry father.” At his curious glance, I explained further. “He didn’t want me to film his daughter without her hijab on.”

“Asshole.”

With his lips and hands, Sean mended each scar until it was as if I was a blank canvas again. Panting with need, I bit the inside of my cheek, praying he had plans to relieve the unrelenting pressure building in my core.

Fuck it. I couldn’t wait any longer. I gripped the hard length of his dick through his jeans and Sean growled in response. “Tell me how bad you want it.” My hips bucked upward as he slid his finger knuckle deep into my wet waiting heat. “Tell me.”

“Please…” I moaned.

Stars exploded in my line of sight as he massaged my clit. “Please what?”

“Please, fuck me. Please.”

The pleasure ceased and I nearly exploded with frustration. Sean shed the last remaining barrier between us and stood at the head of the bed at full mast. I stared with giddy excitement at the the size of his cock.

Sean grinned naughtily. “Do you want this?”

“Yes,” I breathed.

He lazily stroked his penis. A dot of pre-cum coated the head and I ached to taste him. “Get on your hands and knees, and face the wall.”

Doing as he asked, my fingers gripped the sheets. I waited with baited breath for his next command but none came. As my head twisted over my shoulder, Sean gripped my hair and jerked my focus back to the wall. As he rubbed the length of his dick against my ass, my body tensed.

“Relax baby. I’m not going to hurt you,” Sean purred. “Much.”

I squealed as a delicious sting blossomed on my left butt cheek. “You spanked me.”

“Did you like it?”

“I did.”

The answer surprised me, but I didn’t have time to process this new kink of mine before Sean moved on to the right side. Pleasure mixed with pain caused my head to drop forward as a throaty moan left my lips. Hearing the crinkle of a condom wrapper being torn open, I thrust my hips backward, more than ready to get properly fucked.

My breath was robbed as he slammed into me without mercy. He pulled out then did it again, and with each thrust, I was brought closer to orgasm. Sean reached under to where my clit throbbed with need. With one touch, I tipped over the edge and screamed, spiraling out to a place I had never gone before. Sean soon followed.

As we caught our breaths, he laughed. “Shit. That was… There are no words for what that was.” Sean planted a kiss at the base of my spine. “I’ll be right back.”

As he went to go throw away the condom, I crawled under the sheets, boneless and spent. Sean was wrong. There was a word for what that was. Incredible—absolutely, mind-blowingly incredible. I didn’t know how I’d return to the land of normal sex again. It was like I had gotten a glimpse into Narnia.

THE CLOCK ON THE BEDSIDE
table glowed. It was a little after one in the morning. My sister had been blowing up my phone for the past seven hours—five calls and thirteen missed texts. I typed a quick message to let her know I was alive and to sleep in Sean’s empty bed.

A second later, she replied, “OMG! You’re such a dirty slut.”

While Jane was joking, the comment hit close to home. I shut down my phone and looked at Sean, who walked out of the bathroom naked as a jaybird. My blood heated.

“Turn on your side,” he ordered.

My eyes widened. “You’re already ready for round two?”

“I want to spoon you.”

A smile spread across my face. Big bad rock star Sean Dallis was a cuddler—who would have thought?

Sean tangled his leg through mine and cuddled up against my back. “Are you comfortable?”

“Very.”

“How do you feel?”

His concern was sweet, but unwarranted. “I feel amazing. Don’t worry, I’m not going to freak out and run out of the room or anything.”

“And you don’t, you know…”

“Regret anything?” His beard tickled my shoulder blade as he nodded. “No, I don’t regret a thing.”

“Good.” Sean’s muscles relaxed and he snuggled closer. “That’s really good.”

“Is it okay if Jane sleeps in your bunk tonight? I told her she could, but I should have asked you first.”

“It’s fine. I would rather wake up next to you than have to be subjected to Ash’s latest conquest.”

“He has a lot of those, huh?”

Sean sighed. “It’s his way of coping with some personal issues. I understand where he’s coming from.

“Did you turn into a man-whore after the divorce?”

“Besides the groupie on the bus and you, I haven’t been with anyone else.”

“Are you bullshitting me right now?”

His voice took on a mock defensive tone. “Hey! Just because I’m a musician doesn’t mean I have to be the textbook definition of one.”

“I’m sorry, you’re right, but what a disservice to all the women out there.”

“I’m honored you think so highly of my bedroom skills.”

I slapped his hand when he tweaked my nipple and he laughed. “Stroking your ego was a big mistake.”

Sean jumped on my unintentional sexual innuendo like a frat kid discovering there were a few last drops in a keg. “You loving stroking my ego. Don’t deny it.”

I rolled my eyes. “How old are you? Fifteen?”

“Twenty-eight in five days.”

“Your birthday is on Monday?”

“Sure is.”

“Are you doing anything for it?”

Annoyance lined his mouth as he rolled onto his back, shifting the mood in the air to a much cooler vibe. “I hate birthdays.”

“Why? Birthdays are the best. You get a day solely meant for celebrating how awesome you are. Wait…I guess that isn’t such a rare occurrence when you’re a celebrity. Never mind.”

“I found my ex-wife fucking her yoga teacher on my birthday last year. The tour with Five Guys ended early and I thought I would surprise her.” In a flat tone, he said, “It ended up she surprised me with a gift I didn’t see coming.”

Blinding anger toward his bitch of an ex-wife made me see red. “You deserve someone who doesn’t take advantage of your kind nature and respects your career enough to understand why you’re gone so often, someone who doesn’t open her legs to the first dude that looks at her because she is lonely. Get a fucking vibrator!”

My rant had Sean’s lips tilting up at the corners as he looked at me with amusement “I should put you two on a daytime talk show together, and you can put those claws to good use.”

“Shut it. I’m just saying you shouldn’t think of losing her as a bad thing. She did you a favor.”

“I agree. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have met you.”

“You’re such a cornball.”

“You bring it out in me.”

We grinned at each other like a couple of fools, and I wished the bubble we’d built inside the hotel room were indestructible and that the harsh light of morning would never come.

“We should do something to change the bad juju around your birthday,” I said.

“I have a show that night, and I won’t get out until midnight.”

“We can do something in the afternoon then.”

“Like what?”
