The now numerous news helicopters are
grounded except for going to and from the area following the road
to prevent possible collisions.

While Fred and Major O’Neill from the guard
work with others on coordinating and planning the upcoming assault
Jack and Anna decide to see if they can devise a spell to
‘visualize’ the area where they were held and possibly be able to
view other areas.

The Major had brought along his Command APC;
Chatty Cat; which will enable better control of the assault. Chatty
Cat has a Manx cat singing into a microphone skillfully painted on
both front sides. On seeing all the different paintings Carol
quickly decided to do something similar to Lucy, her red pickup,
only using a permanent and possibly moving illusion of ….what? Aw,
decisions, decisions! Oooo…. maybe a dragon resting it’s head on a
skull?

A quick look in the first tunnel entrance had
revealed there is only room for two abreast in full combat gear in
the five by eight foot tunnel and that it was crudely booby trapped
with a barrel of aviation fuel. For protection a large wheeled
flame resistant Kevlar shield is devised to precede the assault
group down the tunnel. The shield is made 4.5 feet high and in two
three foot wide sections to overlap to allow room for the Guard to
pass through if needed. This allowed for space to one side for the
accompanying IMS Mage to cast a spell if needed and shooters to
fire over the top should that be necessary. Small thick windows
allow for viewing.

The IMS Mage will be directly behind and
slightly to the side those handling the shields. She will be ready
to place a magic shield in front of the wheeled shield if needed
and hopefully to Streak any mage that might appear. However it is
doubtful one will venture into the tunnel.

The mines out fifty feet to either side of
the front roadway will be taken out the day prior to the assault by
using Carol’s Streak spell in case they can be remotely detonated.
She had been trying to modify the spell to seek the mines but is
unsuccessful; so far; as she confidently stated. No mines are seen
at the other gate.

Jack quietly takes the IMS Agents aside and
tells them that, should they encounter one of the enemy Warlocks,
take no chances and use extreme measures to ensure a safe
conclusion as lethal force is authorized.

The decision is made to only assault down the
first tunnel and at the same time from the surface. A dismounted
APC will be left near the entrance for the just in case factor. Two
SWAT will lead the way through the tunnel with the IMS Mage right
behind and then 10 Guard troops. FBI, Jack and Anna, 5 deputies and
125 Guard troops will begin the assault of the domes through both
gates in four APCs plus several Hummers behind them to carry the
troops. Two bridging Wolverines are along to bypass the bridges
which are expected to be blown or at least mined.

This will leave the other known tunnel exit
as a possible escape route for the compound. That exit will be
heavily guarded with two APCs, one with mounted 50cal guns the
other with a 30cal, and twenty five troops. Plus lights to
illuminate any attempting to leave at night. Listening devices were
previously placed at both tunnels to hopefully give warning should
someone approach the exits.

The Twins have now returned to join the
assault and look forward to some payback. They decide to each take
one of the probies left and provide them a bit of OJT at the still
hidden tunnel exit. They plan on having the probie’s Streak anyone
glowing that come out. CnC will hold their strongest shield in
front of them should the need arise.

A triage area is set up using the Guard
medical tents and equipment. Several doctors and combat nurses from
the Guard will man the area as will Nora and two other Healers. Two
medevac helicopters are also brought in and there will be thirty
five armed Guardsmen at the triage area and four by the
reporters.

As there may well be other undiscovered exits
from the compound a five foot high berm is built with sandbags
completely around the medical and command tent area. The four
soldiers assigned to the reporter area will also built a small berm
for themselves but smaller and in a 360 degree circle with one
narrow low area for egress. After all, there is plenty of sand and
bags are cheap!

Four of the reporters that previously
reported from Iraq and Afghanistan got bags to build themselves a
berm about 15 feet from the soldiers. They also mounted some video
cameras where they could easily be pointed in several directions,
two of which could be controlled remotely. All four had brought
hunting rifles, shotguns and a fair amount of ammunition with
them.

After watching the soldiers and four
reporters actions two other reporters that previously scoffed at
the four decided, just in case, to ask for guns from the military
but were laughed at and also firmly told no. They then decided to
drive to town for a late breakfast and but planned on returning
after lunch about noon, ‘when things have calmed down’.

Jack and Anna were only partly successful
with the vision spell. The view is like seeing thru dense fog,
fading in and out and the view cannot be shifted about to other
areas. They are shocked at what looks like many tied up or dead
bodies piled over and around the altar. They decide not to share
this information as it would simply inflame the men and women;
possibly making them careless. So they simply urge caution as kids
may be used as shields in which case they are to let the assigned
IMS Mage handle the situation if at all possible.

When the mines were blown only four on one
side and five on the other side of the road were real at the main
gate and no real mines were discovered at the area of the other
gate.

The assault will begin at 8am the next
day.

About 10 am Washington time a slim black
haired African American woman enters the FBI building and requests
to see a supervisory agent as she has important information about
the compound in Utah. She continues to refuse to give her name.
After an hour or so involving several phone calls she is finally
escorted to the office of a supervisor. She says, “I have vital
information and will divulge it only if I am granted complete
immunity for any and all past ….well, call them indiscretions. It
will also help with the so called husk killings.”

The Director is called in and then the
Federal DA who finally agrees as they hear that the assault had
begun some time ago. Another hour and the immunity papers are
completed and signed. Wilma then shows them a six page document
saying, “Yesterday I managed to photograph the bosses’ journal
which was in Chinese of all things. I used an online translator
site and was surprised by what it revealed. Those people attacking
the compound have no real idea what they are facing. I could only
make sense of portions as it looked like the ramblings of a mad
scientist. The translation program on the net may have hashed it up
too.”

As she hands them the pages and a USB drive
she says, “As agreed here are the translated documents plus the
original Chinese photos I scanned in to translate. Now I will leave
because my life… and worse is forfeit if the Boss finds me.” She
stops in the doorway, looks back and says, “Something else I
overheard as I was leaving I offer as a bonus. Part of a comment,
something about rocket bombs tho I have no idea what it means.”

I tried to convince circle , forcing other
mages to help prevent energy loss. I poisoned when they completely
