With Malcolm supported by both Heinrich and Violet, they moved across the room. Violet spoke up as they reached the doorway. “There’s one thing I still don’t understand.”
“What’s that, my dear?” said her fellow cellist.
“Who was the third member of Venice’s trio?”
“Whoever or
whatever
, I’m certain they were not of this world. And so perhaps it is better we do not know the answer!”
