“It's that way with all of us. But there's one thing I can't take credit for, and that's the gift. You were born with it, I only helped cultivate it.”

“Really? I thought when you passed on the powers were given to me.”

“No.” She stood in front of me now, her hair twisted into an elegant knot. She wore a beautiful black dress in a 1950s style. “You were born with those powers.” She looked up at the ceiling. “Ah, it's time for me to go, but I'll be back to visit when I can. Just remember, you will always know the answers, it's only knowing where to look.” She smiled and blew me a kiss.

A tear fell down my cheek, and Caleb wiped it away.

“How did she look?”

I chewed on my lip. “Absolutely beautiful.” I sniffed and turned to him. “You know what we need?”

He wiggled his eyebrows.

I rolled my eyes. “Besides that, silly man.”

“What?”

“We need a Christmas tree for the loft. I want a fresh one. And presents. Ooohhh and I want to invite Justin and Rob to spend the holidays with us. They can stay out at my mom and dad's. And…”

Caleb grabbed me from behind and whirled me around. “I love you.” He stared at me hard.

I wrapped my arms around his neck. “I love you too.” I patted his butt. “Now let's go find me a Christmas tree.”
