His hands trailed
down her body before resting on her pussy.

His finger parted her folds to explore before
he sank a finger into her core and pumped it in and out, teasing her to a
fevered state.

“More.

Give me more.

I need to come. ” She panted.

He added another finger and moved them faster.

Caleb pulled his
fingers out just as she felt like she was about to explode.

“Hold it.

I want you to come with me. ”

He lined up his
cock and slammed into her.

Bianca
screamed as her already sensitive muscles pulsed.

She held back, wanting to come with him.

Caleb tightened his hold on her, and she ran
her hands up and down his back in time with his thrusts.

Biting her
tongue to stop herself from coming, she went into
a frenzy
,
helping Caleb drive into her and squeezing his ass cheeks together.

She felt his
fingers rim her ass and then gather some of her juices before coming back and
slowly pushing against her back entrance.

That was all it took.

She couldn’t hold back anymore, and she
exploded, coming harder than she ever had. Yelling, she scratched her nails
down his back as the euphoric feeling settled over her.

He snarled his release before collapsing on top
of her and kissing her.

“Did that help
make this a better spot?”

She giggled and
savored the feeling of Caleb against her.

She knew they couldn’t
lie there any longer without getting caught by someone.

Bianca hugged Caleb tightly before she let her
arms fall.

He kissed her gently, got up
to dispose of the condom, and searched for his pants before slipping into them.

She watched as he reached inside his
pocket.

Filled with
happiness, Bianca smiled up at him.

She
felt so lucky.

Then he got down
on one knee before her, pulled out a small box, and opened it to reveal an
elegant diamond ring.

“Bianca Gardiner, will
you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”

She stared in
shock at Caleb.

He was asking her to
marry him.

It was
a
dream come
true, but as much as she wanted to say yes, she couldn’t.

Caleb hadn’t even been back twenty-four hours.

Surely he didn’t know what he wanted
after spending one night with her.

She
wasn’t that good.

“It’s my
grandmother’s ring.

If you don’t like it,
we can choose another. ”

Bianca pulled
her single t top back in place and fixed her skirt. She studied Caleb who knelt
before her.

“No.

It’s stunning.

It’s just, um…”She was freaking out.

“I’m sorry.

I have to go. ” Without bothering with her
shoes, she grabbed his keys and ran.

Bianca couldn’t
get over how fast everything was happening.

She’d heard people say that military men moved
fast, and boy, were they right.

The man
she’d had a crush on since she was little had just given her a dream proposal.

He’d even been on his knees.

She had no idea
what came over her.

Bianca ran past
Greta, who sat in her car listening to music.

She opened the door, put the key in the
ignition, and sped away.

It wasn’t until
she was almost home that it really hit her what she’d done.

She’d left the man she loved on his knees
after making love to him at the lookout.

Oh no.

What had she done?

Bianca pulled
the car over to the side of the road, feeling physically ill.

She rested her head on the steering wheel.

“I’m such and idiot.

Why the hell did I run?”

When her parents
bought her a car for her eighteenth birthday, she’d been so excited, and she
and Greta had gone out to celebrate.

She
remembered coming back after going to the beach and taking silly pictures.

One was of her in her bikini sprawled on her
car.

Bianca thought it was probably the
only photo ever taken of her in a bikini.

A couple of
weeks or a month or so later, Greta told her Caleb was getting down, and he
needed some letters.

Greta had told
Caleb Bianca would send him one.

It had
taken her days to write that first letter.

She went through a whole notepad before she
just sent what she had.

Bianca had been
shocked when she’d received a reply from Caleb thanking her for writing to him
and asking her to keep the letters coming.

She’d then written him one every week and told
him things she didn’t even tell Greta.

It was kinda like confession each week.

“Shit
. ”
He knew almost every dirty, dark secret of hers.

Bianca never thought she would really see him
again, and when he did finally decide to settle down, it wouldn’t be with her.

She would be married to someone and have a
family of her own, be in love with someone else, by the time he was ready to
settle down.

That’s what she told
herself anyway.

Caleb had just
stuffed up all her plans.

She never
thought she’d have him to even consider into any equation.

Fuck! She hoped
she hadn’t lost her chance.

Sitting up, she
looked at the road, got back on it, and did a U-turn before speeding back to
the lookout, praying Caleb hadn’t left.

The closer she got, the more scared she became.

When she came to the winding road to the
lookout, she slowed, drove up, and parked in the same spot, sighing in relief
when Greta’s car was still there.

After closing
her eyes for a moment to calm herself, she got out of the car and walked
quickly back to the spot where they’d made love.

Chapter Three

Caleb had
watched as Bianca apologized and ran.

He
didn’t know what he should do.

What was
he
supposed
to do? Did he go after
her and beg her to say yes? Or did he let her leave and give up what he knew
would be the best thing in his life?

He sat thinking
everything over, replaying the scene in his head trying to figure out if he’d
done anything wrong.

He heard footsteps
and sticks cracking as his sister Gwen came over to stare down at him.

“What happened?
Why did Bianca just run out of here like the hounds of hell were nipping at her
feet?

He shrugged and
sat back on his bum.

“I asked her to
marry me.

She apologized and ran. ”

Gwen’s eyes
narrowed on him.

“What exactly did you
say?”

“‘Bianca, will
you do the honor of marring me?’ I was even on my knees. ”

His sister
looked at the blanket before she sat down.

“Did you tell her you love her?”

He groaned and
shook his head.

“God, I can’t
believe I’m about to have this conversation with you over my best friend.

I’m happy to help you two get together, but
any other info about you two…” She gave a dramatic shiver.

“Anyway, I wasn’t happy when you told me the
last time you came home that you’d fallen in love with her, thanks to her
letters. She’s my best friend. It grossed me out at first, and annoyed me, because,
if you got together there’s a lot I couldn’t talk to her about, like sexual
things, moves, or when she buys some nice sexy underwear, I won’t be able to
tease her as I’ll know who she bought it for, and that’s just stuff I don’t
even want think of. ”

He grinned as a
picture of Bianca in a lacy bra and panty set came to mind.

Greta groaned and
pointed to his face. “Yuck! See. ” She shivered again.

“Now I’ll know when you pull faces like that
one you have on now who you’re thinking about, and I really don’t want to
imagine stuff like that
. ”
She grimaced and shook her
head.

“I should have picked up on it
sooner now I think about it, like when she dated the fuckwit, and you wanted to
know everything about him, begged me to tell you his name.

It’s probably why I never did tell you much.

I even knew you were stalking her.

But you never did anything about it. ” She
scrubbed her hands over her face.

“Look,
I love Bianca, but she has some huge self-esteem issues thanks to her mother, sister,
and that fuckwit Daniel she dated for two and half years
. ”

“That his name?
Bianca never told me his name and neither would you.

She didn’t even talk about him much.

She does keep mentioning she’s thinks she too
fat for me to carry her, and when we had sex, she wouldn’t let me near her
stomach. ”

“No, she
wouldn’t.

She has no idea how beautiful
she is, and not just on the outside.

Bianca thinks she’s as big as a house, not a
gorgeous, voluptuous size fourteen. She doesn’t see the men stare at her. ”
Greta shook her head.

“She drives me
nuts
. ”

The love for her
friend that shone through his sister’s eyes was clear.

“I know you think you know her, but I bet
there are a million things she didn’t tell you
, ”
Greta said.

“I’m sure there
are.

I can’t wait to learn more about
her.

I loved all your letters telling me
what you two got up to. ”

Greta grinned.

“Did she tell you that every week she goes to
the children’s ward at Mercy Dawn Hospital and brings them special packs, all
made with natural ingredients and all allergy free
. ”

He shook his
head and wondered why she’d never told him about that.

Gwen laughed.

“Of course she didn’t. That’s not the only
thing she volunteers to do.

Sometimes
it’s darn annoying to be compared to her.

Mum loves her. ”

Caleb knew his
eyes had widened, and he looked at his sister in shock.

“She volunteers for Mum’s Delta Club stuff?”

“Yep.

Every boring bit of it.

“Even those
stupid fund-raiser balls she has every year
. ”
He
raised his eyebrow at Greta in disbelief.

Gwen nodded and
he moaned.

“Shit, that’s coming up soon
. ”

“Huh, and Mum’s
already put you in it
. ”

“She what?”

“Yeah, and guess
what it is this year
. ”

He glared at his sister as she paused and then
broke into giggles.

“Date night
. ”

“What do you
mean ‘date night’?”

“Well, this year
she’s auctioning off dates with eligible bachelors and bachelorettes, and as
soon as she knew you were coming home, you were on the list.

Don’t worry.

She added Gavin too.

He’s about as happy as you.

On the positive side, the event’s already sold
out. ”

“What about you?
Are you on helping?”

She looked
anywhere but at him.

“Um, how about we
pack up? I think I’ve eased your worries enough. ”

He had to admit
he did feel better and wasn’t worried about how Bianca had run off on him.

But she still hadn’t answered his question.
“Very good distraction.

I still want to know. ”

Greta yanked at
the blanket, and as he got up, she mumbled, “I convinced Bianca to take my
place
. ”

“Why didn’t you
tell me?”

“I knew you
wouldn’t want her to do it, and I’m trying to prove a point to her.

So you can’t bid on her. ”

He glared at her.

“Why the hell not?”

She started
walking away from him down the path with the blanket and wine in hand.

He grabbed the remaining stuff and stomped
after her.
