Chapter 28

When he saw the dusty black bicycle zip into the driveway, Zane’s heart rate tripled. But then he saw the smile on Samuel’s face and his heart stopped. He had never seen the boy look so goddamn happy...

And he knew Lacey was responsible.

Samuel jumped off the bike and then proceeded to skip across the side yard. Fucking skip. Zane leaned closer to the basement window, narrowed his eyes. And he was whistling. Fucking whistling.

Zane took a deep breath, released it slowly, and then, after donning what he hoped looked like a genuine smile, yanked open the basement door. “Samuel,” he called in the most cheery voice he could muster.

The boy’s head snapped up and his smile widened, which did not seem possible, as he sprinted over to Zane. “I had the best. Day. Ever!”

Zane forced a chuckle as he clapped Samuel on the back. “And you can tell me all about it over dinner,” he said, ushering the boy into the basement.

Samuel raced over to leap frog onto a bar stool and then spun around to face Zane. “She had lunch with me! Lacey had lunch with me!”

Zane strolled behind the counter, over to the glass pitcher filled with blood. “Then the sugar cookies worked,” he said, wiggling his eyebrows, which wanted to furrow as he thought,
And I gave her an entire goddamn cake.

Samuel laughed. “She scarfed them down like she was starving!” He frowned. “And then almost choked to death.” He smiled again. “But I saved her!”

Looking down, Zane clenched his teeth as he began filling the two high ball glasses. “And how did you do that?”

“Oh, I slapped her on the back.”

Zane’s head snapped up. “Is that right.”

Sucking air between his clenched teeth, Samuel shook his head, brows furrowing slightly. “She didn’t like that too much.”

“Because you probably hit her too hard. You have to be careful since we—”

“Can’t feel anything,” Samuel finished. “I know, I know. And I was. I think she just hates being touched.” He snorted laughter. “I offered to do CPR and she threatened to turn me into a—Hey! You’re gonna spill it!”

Zane set the pitcher down. “Threatened to turn you into a...?”

“Woman.” Samuel snatched one of the filled to the rim glasses, emptied it in one gulp and then exhaled sharply as he pushed it back to Zane. “More, please.”

“How are your senses?”

“Amazing,” he answered, his eyes widening. “I don’t need my glasses anymore and I can hear everything!”

“What about smell?” Zane asked, handing him another drink.

Samuel’s face scrunched up. “Too good.” He drained his glass, pushed it back over to Zane. “The school’s like one big banquet hall.” He snorted. “Good thing happy blood is in short supply there.”

“That is the scent you prefer?” asked Zane as he refilled Samuel’s glass.

Samuel nodded. He lifted the drink to his lips and then paused, his eyes glazing over. “Lacey’s is...” He moved his mouth from side to side a few times and then sighed. “I guess  it’d be easier to say what hers isn’t—happy.”

“What emotions did you sense in her blood?” Zane asked as his brother polished off his third drink.

Samuel shrugged. “They changed so fast it was hard to keep up. When we first started talking she was sort of scared, but not like real fear, you know? And then she got angry—”

“At you?”

“Nah, I don’t think so.” He smiled. “I made her laugh.”

“And that did not make her happy?”

“For a second, and then she got angry again.” Samuel’s face brightened. “Hey—maybe she doesn’t like laughing, either.” He frowned. “But that doesn’t make sense...I mean who doesn’t like to laugh?”

“Those who enjoy being miserable,” Zane murmured.

“I was just gonna ask if you were gonna have any,” Samuel said as Zane drained his glass. His forehead wrinkled, worry darkening his bright eyes. “How many is left?”

“Fully stocked,” Zane replied, refilling both their glasses. “I picked up more supplies on the way back from Barbie’s last night.”

Samuel exhaled in relief and then stopped breathing, his brows furrowing. His damp, bright gaze darted to his hands, which he wrung before jamming into his armpits. “I just...” He gave Zane an apologetic, fearful look. “I just don’t think I’m ready to...you know.”

“No rush, Samuel. When you are, simply let either Alexis or myself know and one of us will take you into the city.” Zane leaned over the counter. “Because...?”

“Because we can’t hunt close to home.”

“Correct,” Zane replied, rapping his knuckles on the counter. “The people around us are off limits. No exceptions.”

Samuel nodded and then held up his drink. “Here’s to the best big brother ever.”

Returning his brother’s smile, Zane clinked his glass against Samuel’s. “I will drink to that.”

Chapter 29

Alexis sat cross-legged on the floor in the back of her seat-less van, face buried in her hands, shoulders jerking hard as she forced deep sobs from her parched throat.

Every few seconds she’d pause her performance to sniff the air, only to be disappointed when all the heavenly scents drifting across the night sky on long, thick clouds of diesel fuel continued to remain just beyond her reach.

Oh how she missed the all-you-can-eat buffet of Los Angeles. So many lost and alone souls to dine upon...

Her mouth filled with saliva and stomach growled.

The city of angels was where she belonged. A place where she could feed to her heart’s content without fear of discovery and money flowed freely from the pockets of drug dealers, pimps, hookers and gang bangers. Four days and she was five grand richer.

Then return, my child.

“I can’t leave Za—my brothers.”

Your brothers are lost to you now.

Alexis’ spine stiffened, her heart began to race. “What?”

Their loyalty and affection is tied to a human female.

“Who?” Alexis growled. “Tell me and she will be no more.”

I am forbidden to reveal the girl’s identity. Tis your responsibility to acquire the knowledge you seek.

Alexis clenched her fists. “And I will—”

Someone is coming, my child.

Pushing aside her fear, anger and confusion as best she could, Alexis slipped into damsel-in-distress mode. Slapping her hands over her eyes, she strained to hear over the whooshing of air breaks and dinosaur-like engine roars, and the loud, irregular beats of her heart. Zoning in on the approaching footsteps, she continued her dry-weeping.

Thirty seconds later she heard a feminine male voice. “‘scuse me, Darlin’?”

Alexis slowly lifted her head and did a double-take when her gaze landed on the pasty white, stretch mark covered stomach hanging out from underneath a faded black T-shirt, which had on it a skull with snakes protruding from its eye sockets.

“You alright?” the man said around the splintered toothpick he gnawed on with tobacco-stained teeth.

Alexis met the goateed man’s mud-brown gaze. “Yes,” she whispered, “I’m fine.”

The doughy flesh of his underarms jiggled as he ran a stubby hand through shoulder-length brown hair that had more oil in it than a restaurant deep fryer. His gaze dropped from her face to between her parted thighs as he said, “Don’t come across many fine people bawling in a truck stop parkin’ lot at night.”

Conjuring a weak smile, Alexis swept one trembling hand across her cheek. No tears were on it, but the man was too distracted by the sight of her exposed pussy to notice. “Please go about your business,” she said, “I’m sure you must be on a
tight
schedule.”

The man laughed, the sound like two hyenas fighting over a carcass. “My handle’s Super Trucker for a reason, Darlin’.”

He plopped an ass cheek the size of a baby rhinoceros upon the edge of the van floor, making the vehicle tilt. “Now go on and tell ol’ Willie here what’s got a pretty thing like you all worked up.”

“I can’t,” she protested. “I don’t even know you.”

He placed one sweaty paw on her bare thigh, gave it a firm squeeze. “We could  change that, Darlin’.”

I bet that bitch’s ass is as tight as it looks, Willie Clogg thought as he followed the woman down the basement stairs, his hard dick throbbing in time to the sway of her slender hips.
This lot lizard doesn’t know what she’s in for.

So much for another lonely night in the truck cab choking his gizzard as he drooled over the latest issue of Hustler magazine.

Trailing a finger over the green felt of the pool table as he walked by it, Willie paused to flick the eight ball into the corner pocket as the woman stepped behind the fully loaded mahogany bar.

“What’s your poison?” she asked, one corner of her blood red mouth curling up. Willie couldn’t wait to shove his dick into it.

“Whiskey, no ice,” he grunted as he hauled his fat ass up on to the red leather stool directly across from her. “Whatever you got, Darlin’.”

“Alexis,” she insisted, retrieving a low ball glass from one of six shelves attached to the mirrored back wall. “Call me Alexis.”

“Nice digs you got here—that’s one helluva flat screen over there.”

“Seventy-three inches,” she said, placing his drink in front of him. “My motto is the bigger the better.”

Willie guffawed. “I’s afraid Little Willie is below average, Darlin’.” He downed the whiskey in one large gulp and then licked his lips, deliberately overextending his extremely long tongue as he did so. “But where I lack in one area I make up for in another.”

The woman raised her already arched eyebrow even higher as she refilled his glass. “Is that a fact?”

“You betcha.”

Willie gulped down his second shot of whiskey. The woman was pouring him another before the empty glass hit the counter. He was dying to find out if she could service him as well in other areas. “You tryin’ to get me drunk so you can have your way with me, Darlin’?”

“Something like that,” she said with a seductive grin that made his dick twitch.  “You don’t mind, do you?”

Willie snorted. “Does an outhouse smell like pussy?”

The woman’s nose wrinkled. “I wouldn’t know.”

Reckon not, he thought, glancing around the chick’s digs. Apparently hookin’ paid pretty darn good. “You live here alone?”

The woman’s made for dick sucking lips pursed. “Ssshh.” She tapped the bottom of Willie’s raised glass. “Drink up, sugar. There will be plenty of time for talking later.”

He downed a third shot, a fourth, then a fifth. Funny, he thought as the woman refilled his glass a sixth time—normally he didn’t start feeling giddy until after he’d downed an entire bottle of whiskey. Must be some fancy imported shit.

Willie slammed the empty glass down with a shake of his head and a sharp exhale of breath. The woman refilled his glass and then leaned across the counter, drawing his gaze to the mounds of flesh spilling out of her bra. He was horny enough to fuck a hole in the wall.

“Would you like to see my tits, Willie?”

“And squeeze ‘em and suck ‘em and—”

The woman’s soft laugh interrupted his train of thought.  “All in good time.”

“Don’t know how much longer Little Willie can hold out,” Willie growled as he tugged on the crotch of his dark-blue jeans. “You got me crazy, Darlin’.”

“You haven’t seen crazy,” the woman said in a breathy voice.  “Yet.”

I’m going to blow a load in my pants, Willie thought as she stripped off her sheer blouse and bra to reveal the most perfect pair of tits he’d ever seen in his life.

“Finish your drink and I’ll let you touch them.”

Willie drained his glass, slammed it onto the counter with a grunt. “Come to daddy.”

When she leaned forward he grabbed onto her tits like a drowning man latching onto floatation devices. He licked his lips as he squeezed them.

“You look thirsty,” she said, prying his hands off and then leaning back to refill his glass.

“For your pussy,” he replied, sucking air through his teeth as he dropped his gaze from her tits to her flat, bare stomach, which had two belly bu—

What in tarnation?

Willie shook his head and almost fell off the damn stool. He blinked a couple times. Nope, still two belly buttons. He rubbed his eyes, looked again. The two belly buttons became one. He laughed. “I think my tart is popped.”

“And I think that big daddy can’t hang with this little girl,” the woman said with a smirk.

He hiccuped. “If ya can bring it I can take it but so far you ain’t brung shit, Darlin’.”

“If you can finish three more shots before I get naked I will,” she said, wrapping his hand around the glass. “But I must warn you...I like it rough.”

“Reckon we’ll find out in a minute.”

Willie was gulping back his last shot before the woman had made a motion to move. He slammed the empty glass down, slid off the bar stool.

The floor disappeared.

His ass found it.

He hauled himself up with the aide of the counter, then used it to steady himself as the room did a loop-de-loop. He belched up a wad of stinging, sour bile, swallowed hard as he looked across the room to where the woman now stood naked in front of a steel door.

“Are you ready to play?” she asked, then slipped one finger between the folds of her nearly hairless cunt. “Or are you too scared?”

I’m gonna tear this bitch’s ass up, Willie thought as he shuffled toward her on feet that felt like cement blocks.

Hours seemed to pass before he finally reached her.

“First things first,” she said, greeting him with a slender hand that she pressed hard against his chest. “Take off your clothes.”

Swaying back and forth like a tree battered by the forceful winds of a hurricane, Willie chuckled. “Think I might be needin’ some help—”

With a sharp expulsion of hot breath the woman grabbed two handfuls of his sweat soaked T-shirt at the neckline and then yanked, ripping it all the way down the front. She peeled it off his arms, tossed it onto the floor, and then knelt before him. “Now pick up that gut.”

Willie’s cheeks burned as he lifted the roll of fat blocking access to his zipper. By the time the woman pulled down his jeans and underwear his entire head felt like it was on fire. Embarrassment turned to anger when the woman snickered before turning her attention to his black biker boots. “Fuckin’ cunt,” he growled, grabbing her by the hair. “Let’s see how good you can laugh with my dick in your pie-hole.”

Willie jerked the woman’s head forward, his eyes rolling into the back of his head when her wet lips made contact with the hard, shapeless tip of his four inch dick. “Suck it good, bit—”

Willie gasped when his balls turned into exploding grenades. Hands flying down to cup his crotch, he dropped to his knees with a choked grunt. The woman standing over him became a slow moving blur as he fell onto his side with tears in his eyes...

And then everything went black.
