“I knew I should have put it to her like
that,” muttered Jeremy, but it was he Amelia was moving towards,
and he whose neck she was circling her arms around.

“I thought I was cursed but now I find myself
thinking immortality is a gift, now I have someone to share my life
with.” She reached for James, drawing him to them, the bonds of
love and immortality strengthening as their bodies touched. “Two
men to love for eternity? Yes.”

Epilogue

Los Angeles, 2012

The pretty blonde woman slipped her purse
onto the foyer’s console table and flicked through her keys.
Finding the tiny little key, she slid it inside her apartment’s
mail box and extracted the small bundle of envelopes inside.
Clicking it shut, she started the walk upstairs to the third floor,
shuffling through the mail.

Amongst the bills and junk, a thick white
envelope caught her eye. It was addressed to her in a dramatic
calligraphy, the type that took years to learn and required real
ink. She searched through her mind wondering if she knew anyone who
was getting married and drew a blank.

It had been a long day and with her crazy
work hours, it wasn’t often that she got to socialize so a fancy
invitation was intriguing. She barely resisted tearing the envelope
open, but instead let the excitement build until she was leaning
against her apartment door, kicking off the new Louboutins that
were a huge part of her heart - and salary.

Gently she plucked at the edges of the
envelope, peeling back the flap so she could extract the stiff card
inside, trying not to scream with excitement as she read it.

Wicked Entertainment invites you to the
Summer Masquerade.

You will:

Dress to impress and wear a mask.

Secrecy is paramount. What you witness is
your secret to keep.

A limousine will collect you and return you
home at dawn.

RSVP, with contract.

She skimmed the contract, a folded square of
paper stuffed with legalize. What she gleaned was she would be sued
to infinity if she revealed anything that happened at the party.
Not that it mattered. Wicked Entertainment put on two exclusive
parties a year, the Summer Masquerade and the Winter Solstice Ball.
Tickets could not be bought, purchased, bribed or stolen. Guests
could be anyone from Hollywood actors, athletes and supermodels to
Joe Public, but no one was ever certain for sure because not a
single word was ever breathed about the most exclusive, sought
after ticket in town.

The rumor mill, however, was a whole
different affair. Wicked Entertainment had developed a fabulous
reputation for being the people to go to if you wanted to stage an
event, not that any amount of cash would help get a ticket to their
own private events.

And she had a ticket; the most covetable
ticket in the whole of LA.

It didn’t matter how it had happened, how
they had noticed her amongst a city of beauties. It didn’t matter
at all; she was going to the Masquerade.

She Wants

Anna’s got the guy of her dreams who is as
fun out of the bedroom as he is in it. She just wishes he'd pay a
bit more attention to her and spend a few less hours in the office.
When Josh comes up with a plan to ensure Anna gets what she needs,
will she accept his crazy plan?

“I need a favor,” Josh said.

“Shoot.”

“I cancelled on Anna again.”

John tore another chunk out of the apple,
chewed and swallowed. “Are you a fucking idiot? Is that the fourth
time?”

“Third. And, yes, I’m a fucking idiot, but
with a crisis to deal with.”

“What’s the favor?”

“Can you take Anna out tonight? Her favorite
band is playing their going away tour and this is the last chance
she’ll see them. I have to catch a plane in two hours and I won’t
be back until late tomorrow.”

“Who’s the band?”

“Steel Rose.”

John rocked back on his chair and tossed the
paper down. “No way. Anna got tickets to Steel Rose? Man, I saw
them in Madison Square Garden years ago and they were awesome. I
couldn’t get tickets.”

“More your thing than mine, I’ll admit. She
has a spare ticket now I can’t go and she’ll be crushed if she
doesn’t see them. Plus she hates going out on her own.”

“So you want me to take her?”

“Yes.”

“Like a date?”

“Uh...”

John was playing with him now. “Do I get to
kiss her at the end of the night?”

“No.” Josh cuffed him softly on the ear as he
passed by to pour himself a coffee from the pot, turning back with
raised eyebrows.

John tossed the apple in the trash, a wicked
smile playing on his face. His brother was easy to wind up, always
quick to a temper. “I suppose getting laid is out of the
question.”

A flash of anger crossed Josh’s face. “Damn
straight.”

It was only made worse for Josh, and more
amusing for John, because the first time Anna had met John, she’d
mistook him for Josh, ran up to him, thrown her arms around him and
kissed him passionately, one hand travelling down to cup his ass
and pull him into her, rotating her hips slightly into the erection
that suddenly sprang up between them. She’d blushed red from head
to toe when she’d realized her mistake and nearly choked when John
had announced she was ‘a keeper’. Josh had tempered his anger,
laughing off the mistake but Anna hadn’t stopped apologizing until
Josh had pulled her to one side and kissed all the ‘sorry’s!’ out
of her and just to be sure, had fucked them right out of her later
that night.

“Shame. Sure, I’ll take her. Just let me know
when to pick her up.”

“Thanks, bro’.” Josh punched him on the
shoulder, leaving John wince. He wasn’t altogether sure Josh was
being playful, or more letting him know that he’d get his face
pounded if he so much as laid a finger on Anna, which was a shame,
because she was so fucking hot he could barely look at her
sometimes without getting a raging hard-on. Now he thought about
it, he wasn’t so much looking forward to seeing Steel Rose as
spending the evening with Anna. He’d had a few sleepless nights
thinking about the way she’d kissed him, and his immediate response
to her. He and Josh had always been attracted to similar women, but
somehow they’d managed to avoid falling for the same woman. It took
all his strength to hold back each time he saw her, but he was his
brother’s biggest fan and he wasn’t going to do anything to
jeopardize Josh’s relationship, no matter how much he wanted to rip
Anna’s clothes off and bury himself far inside her.
