He quickly washed his hair with her shampoo and, as he rinsed, he felt her hands sliding over his body. He could tell she was using some of her bodywash as her hands slid over his body. As her slippery hands found his engorged cock, he moaned out his pleasure at finally having her hands where he wanted them. She fisted his cock a few times and then she pushed him back under the spray to rinse him off. His cock was slapping against his belly and ready to go to work.

Once he was thoroughly rinsed, she knelt down on her knees and took his heavily engorged shaft into her hands, bending down to kiss and lick the head of his cock, licking away a drop of pre-cum that had gathered there. Then she licked the bottom of his shaft from base to tip then reversed direction, moaning lightly. Ryan was in heaven as her lips rained kisses up and down his rock-hard cock.

Finally, she opened her lips wide and slowly started sucking his wide cock into her delectable mouth. She took more and more of his length into her mouth, slowly working her tongue over him. As the tip of his cock reached the back of her throat, she swallowed, allowing him in just a little bit more.

Ryan gripped the back of her head and led her into the rhythm he sought. Back and forth, in and out. Over and over. The pleasure mounted as his gut tightened and his balls pulled tightly to his groin, readying for his climax. A few more thrusts and his cock jerked repeatedly. She continued to suck until the last of his seed shot out of the opening. She let his cock go with a slight pop as she licked the remaining cum from his now-satisfied shaft.

Still down on her knees in the shower, she looked up at him with a grin and said, “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” With an answering grin, he pulled her up so that she was standing next to him.

“You can thank me like that anytime, darlin’. I can see a lot of gifts in your future if that’s what I can look forward to.”

The water was turning cool, so they rinsed off quickly then exited the shower. Drying off separately, they stopped several times to kiss softly. Ryan used the blow dryer to dry Samantha’s long, thick hair. She yawned several times while he was drying her hair. When he was done, he told her he’d lock up the apartment and meet her in bed.

When he got back to the bedroom, Samantha was asleep. He knew that she hadn’t been getting much sleep lately. They were together nearly every night, and he didn’t usually get to her apartment until 10:00 p.m. or so. He kept her up for hours making love and talking before she went to sleep. While he slept in, she had to get up early to go into work. Although Ryan wanted to make love to her right then, he decided to let her sleep. He’d wake her up early in the morning and make sweet love to her.

Chapter 9

One night, about a week before Christmas, Ryan decided to push the issue of her moratorium on attending any family get-togethers. His mother had asked him if Samantha would be joining them to celebrate Christmas. The Christmas celebration at the Chisholm home was special and, as the woman he loved, Ryan wanted Samantha with him for that special family celebration. He had spent Thanksgiving with her at the apartment and missed his family’s celebration, so he decided to broach the topic again with her. They’d been dating nearly two months now. They were exclusive. They were a unit, damn it, and he would make her see reason.

It was 9:00 p.m. when Ryan got to her apartment. The television was on as Samantha was watching one of her favorite programs, a cooking show. As he took a seat right next to her, he put one arm around her and grabbed her hands with his free hand, tracing little circles on her palms with his thumb as he just enjoyed being with her.

Looking at Ryan with trepidation, Samantha thought this must be it. He’s finally going to tell her their affair was over. She knew there had been something on his mind for the past few days. She dreaded just what that might be. He was going to break up with her. She just knew it. Over the past two months, she had gradually let down her guard with him and allowed him into her life. He spent nearly every night here at her apartment and had become an integral part of her.

She knew their affair had lasted far longer than any he’d had for quite some time. She had allowed that knowledge to wear down her resistance and had begun to think of a future with him. She had even thought that he might be growing to love her as much as she loved him. Obviously, she’d been wrong. Oh, how that hurt. She wasn’t going to let him see how much this hurt her. She loved him enough to set him free, if that’s what he wanted. She owed it to him to let him think this was what she wanted as well. She’d let him think he’d let her down easy instead of blowing her whole world apart. She owed him that for the past two months of joy he had brought to her life.

“Ryan?”

“Samantha?” They laughed self-consciously as they began talking at the same time. “Ladies first.”

Taking a deep breath for courage, Samantha sat up straight on the love seat. “Ryan, I know that you’ve had something on your mind this past week and I think I can guess what it is.” Drawing her hands away from his, she stood up and moved away from him. “I want you to know I’m okay with this. Don’t worry about me. I understand if you’re ready to move on. After all, this was just for kicks and giggles, right? I’ve had a good time while it lasted. No hard feelings?”

Ryan stood up and caught her hands in a tight grasp, pulling her into his body, his arms going around her body. “Whoa, darlin’.” He looked at her anxiously. “What the hell are you talking about? I’m not going anywhere. Where did you get the idea that I wanted to stop seeing you? That’s the furthest thing from my mind.”

“Well, you’ve been acting strange for several days. I thought that you were trying to figure out a way to let me down easy. I just want you to know that I’m okay with it. It’s time for both of us to move on.”

“Yes, I suppose I have been acting a bit distracted for the past week, but it doesn’t have anything to do with wanting to break up with you.” Samantha was confused by the smile on his face and the look in his eyes.

“As a matter of fact, I’ve been trying to figure out how to ask you over to my parents’ for Christmas. Given your reluctance to join my family for Sunday lunch, I didn’t know what kind of response I’d get if I asked you to celebrate Christmas with me and my family. That’s what I’ve been worried about, darlin’. It has nothing to do with letting you go. I have no intention of letting you go anywhere that doesn’t include me.”

“Oh.” Samantha was at a total loss. This had come out of nowhere. She found it hard to go from being sure he wanted to break up with her to thinking about attending his family’s Christmas celebration. “I’m not really sure that’s such a good idea.”

“Why not, darlin’? I know you had your reasons when we first started dating, but those reasons are bogus now. I’m already a large part of your life. We’ve been exclusive for more than two months, now. I don’t see that changing. I want you as much now as I did the first night I met you. More, if you want to know the truth. The more I learn about you, the more I want.”

As he took a deep breath, Samantha saw his eyes soften and a big smile take over his face. “I love you, Samantha Michaels. I want a future with you.” She saw him grimace when she started in shock and shot him a doubtful look.

He soldiered on. “I know people have let you down in the past, darlin’. But they weren’t me. I’m not one of them.” As she began to argue with him, he quickly went on. “Have I given you any reason to doubt me, well, other than the past week when I’ve been so distracted?”

“No. It’s just hard to let people in again. I’ve gotten used to people breaking their promises and going away.” She knew there was pain in her eyes when she answered him. She could see the same emotion reflected in his. She didn’t know what else to do but be totally truthful with him.

“I’m not going anywhere. Neither are you. I want a future with you. Please come to Christmas with my family. My family doesn’t want to hurt you. They want a chance to get to know the woman I love. They’re going to love you once they get a chance to know you. Just give them a chance, darlin’. I promise we won’t let you down. Just give us a chance.” He looked like he was prepared to beg if he had to. How could she deny this man anything? She couldn’t.

“Okay.” She knew fear still shone in her eyes, but she was determined to face this thing head-on. “I’ll meet your family. But not for Christmas. I don’t want to horn in on such an important day. I’ll join you for lunch Sunday, if that’s okay?”

Ryan looked relieved. “That’s fine, darlin’. But when you see how well things go on Sunday, would you consider celebrating Christmas with me? I want to be with you on Christmas as well as with my family. If you won’t come with me to Christmas, I’ll stay here and celebrate with you.”

“We’ll see how Sunday goes. But if I don’t join you for Christmas, you’re still going to your parents. Family is important, and I won’t have you missing such an important celebration with them just for me.”

Samantha didn’t know if she was doing the right thing here or not. He said he loved her. Could she trust that? In the past, she’d always gotten burned when she trusted someone like that. Was Ryan really any different? Would he hold her mother’s mistakes and choices against her when he found out about her family like Brandon and J.T. did? She just didn’t know, and she was scared of how badly he could hurt her if she believed him and he let her down.

“That’ll have to do for now. Now, that’s enough serious talk for the time being. May I take you to bed and make love to you? I’ve been hard since I stepped through your door,” he said with a hangdog expression and she giggled.

“Lead on, handsome.” She reached out to take his hand.

Once in the bedroom, Samantha pulled the bedding back to the foot of the bed. She moved to stand in front of him and raised her hands as she started to undo the buttons of his dark-blue chambray shirt. Her fingers fumbled a little in her haste, and he chuckled at her eagerness.

As she worked, he unbuttoned and unzipped his jeans, pulling his pants down to his hips as she finished with the buttons on his shirt. While she moved to undo the buttons at his wrists, he continued to push his pants over his ass and down his muscular legs where they bunched around his ankles. He kicked out of his pants and socks while Samantha went to the bed and grabbed a pillow.

“I love your body, Ryan. How do you keep so fit?”

“I’m glad you like it, darlin’. We have a gym out at the Ranch. Ryder and I usually work out before the club opens. I think you already know how I feel about your body. I’m not able to hide it when I’m nekkid.”

“Well, handsome, I’m going to show you just how much I enjoy a certain part of your anatomy right now.”

With the pillow in her hands, she led him to the edge of the bed and pushed him gently into a sitting position. Throwing the pillow down at his feet, she left little doubt as to her intentions. He leaned back slightly on his arms as she gently nudged his legs farther apart and moved in between his knees. His cock was stiff and throbbing, pointing straight up against his abdomen.

“I’m all up for that, darlin’,” he drawled.

Gently, her fingers slid up and down over his cock and balls, paying particular attention to the hard ridge of vein on the underside of his cock. Ryan leaned back and closed his eyes at the sensation of her warm hands on his rock-hard cock. The sensations grew and intensified. His head fell back as he moaned softly. He ached to feel her hot little mouth on him. He loved that she seemed to enjoy going down on him. It made him even hotter to know she enjoyed it as well.

Samantha leaned her face in close and let her warm breath flow over his cock and balls, sending a shiver through his long frame. Through lids heavy with desire, he watched her lick her lips and lean into his groin. He jerked when he felt her tongue lapping at one of his balls right before she took it into her hot mouth. She smiled as he let out another moan. She sucked gently on one of his balls as he flexed his hips toward her. He made a sound deep in his throat that was somewhere between a moan and a groan. Seeming to enjoy his reaction, she took his other ball back into her mouth and repeated the process. He was moaning and gasping as she moved lovingly back and forth between his balls.

She let his balls slide from her mouth and he raised his hips in an effort to maintain the connection, making a sound that bordered on pain. She laughed lightly. “Do you want me to keep going, Ryan? Or have you had enough?” He loved it when she wielded her power over him. He usually felt he had to be strong all the time. The only time he could truly lose control was when his cock was deep in her body.

“Keep going, darlin’. Please don’t stop,” he said on a groan.

“I’m not anywhere near done, handsome,” she promised.

Gently wrapping the fingers of one hand around his cock, she let the other rest on his lower abdomen, right above its base. She gently ran a finger over and around the place where his cock and balls met. Ryan sat forward a little and gently put his hands on either side of her face and lifted her lips to his for a voracious kiss.

Licking her lips, she bent back down and slowly placed openmouthed kisses up and down his long, hard shaft. She took care to repeat the process on the backside of his cock as well. She licked his cock from base to slit like an ice-cream cone. A shudder went through him. His hand rested on her shoulders, fingers clenching.

“Please, darlin’,” he begged. “Take me in your sweet mouth.”
