was grinning broadly. “It’s a charity venture and we’ve just had a rather
substantial influx of cash which will help us expand, and a job opportunities
programme with some key companies in the city”. She flashed her eyebrows and
smiled at Jason as I followed her gaze, looking up at him in awe as he squeezed
my hand tightly, kissing my cheek. “Thank you” I swallowed hard, trying not to
cry again. The rest of the table joined in the conversation, laughing out loud
at the starter of pre boiled eggs in hard hats sat on an exotic salad, as I
remembered the night he had created that pitch for me and the day that had followed
and my heart was bursting. Next was a succulent steak, so wonderfully prepared
it could almost have been cut with Jason’s special butter knife, and the most
delicious array of desserts and decadent cakes I had ever seen. I looked up at
him, stunned by the adoration in his eyes, mirrored only by my own. He had
really thought of everything.

“I’m
going to give you so much pleasure tonight, you’ll think you’ve died and gone
to heaven” I whispered quietly in his ear, embracing him tightly as we sipped our
champagne. “And I promise you a lifetime of it baby” he smirked wickedly as my
heart exploded. God I loved Jason King.
