“Yes,” he groaned. “Yes, that feels … no, you have to do something else.”
She reached up and grabbed his shoulders. “What?”
He stopped, still hard and throbbing deep within her. “Marry me.”
Her heart skidded to a stop, as well. “You wish to marry me?”
“I love you, Constance. Be my wife?”
She gazed up at him, into those warm brown eyes she’d dreamed about for so long, and felt her heart take flight along with her body. “Oh, I love you too!”
He moaned, a sound of need that echoed the riot of desire within her.
“Your answer, love?” he asked.
“Yes, William. I’ll marry you.”
He let out a shout and poured himself into her. She found release again, holding tight to him as he whispered sweet promises in her ear. Promises that she knew he’d keep.
He was just perfect, too.
