The fall air rushed in, ruffling Aud’s hair as he opened the door out onto the street. It was refreshing. He hadn’t realized until then that it had been warm, almost uncomfortably so, in the police station.

Beside him, Leo gave a soft sigh that sounded like the same relief Aud felt.

Aud opened the passenger-side door for Leo. “Do you need anything else before we head back to your place?”

“I don’t think so.” Leo eased himself down into the seat. “I just want a pain pill and to go to sleep for a while.”

By the time Aud got into his seat, Leo had his seat belt fastened and his eyes closed as he leaned back. “Sorry I’m such a droopy wet blanket today. I feel like hell.”

Aud squeezed his hand. “I understand. Don’t worry about it.” He started the car and left the parking lot.

“You know,” Aud said as he drove toward Leo’s house. “I’d forgotten that we’re going to have a romantic getaway. We’ll do it as soon as you’re back on your feet.”

Leo flashed him a weak smile “Or at least comfortable on my back with my feet up?”

It brought a soft chuckle from Aud. “There’s that too. It might not be as nice a place as I had planned on for this past weekend. Ski season will be starting soon, depending on snow, so we might have to go for something a bit cheaper and fit in where they can get us.”

“It doesn’t matter where we go.” Leo squeezed Aud’s leg. “The important thing is that we’ll have some quiet time together. As long as you’re with me, that’s all that matters.”

They stopped for a red light, and Aud leaned over and quickly kissed Leo. “Good. That’s how I feel too. You’re incredible, and all I want to do is spend time with you.”

“Me too.” Leo sighed heavily. The tone was one Aud had begun to associate with Leo being in pain. “Unfortunately, right now, I just want to go lie down. Geez, I’ve already said that several times. I’m sorry I’m repeating myself.”

“Don’t worry about it.” Aud made the final turn to Leo’s apartment. “We’ll get you tucked in, and then I need to head to the gallery. Will you be okay by yourself for a few hours?”

“Sure. I hope I’ll be asleep. If I’m lucky, I’ll sleep until Felix comes home. I’m glad he felt like going to work today.”

“It’s a step for him recovering from all this,” Aud added. “Now we’ve all got to get our lives back on track.”
Even if it’s a new track, since my life didn’t use to have you in it.
He pulled up beside Leo’s place and helped Leo out of the Jeep and into the house. Less than ten minutes later, he drove toward the gallery, happily humming to himself.

SNOW SWIRLED
around them as they hurried along the sidewalk in Aspen. The late autumn storm had descended on the mountains as they arrived earlier in the day. Now that the sun had set, the sidewalks were turning slick in the increasing cold.

Leo shivered in his coat.

“You okay?” It was the most frequent thing Aud asked Leo. He wasn’t used to having anyone care enough to ask if he was okay on a regular basis. But after Randal’s attack and how easily he might not have been okay, he understood Aud’s concern about his well-being.

“I’m fine. Just a bit cool,” Leo replied. “But we’ll be back inside in a minute.”

“This is one of the reasons I wanted to do this little getaway when it was more autumn than winter.” Aud reached for the door into the hotel, but the doorman beat him to it, holding it so both of them could escape the cold wind and get into the warmth of the hotel’s lobby.

The hotel was grander than anything Leo had ever been in before. It was like a log cabin on high-dollar steroids. Heavy-beamed ceilings rose majestically above polished marble floors. Large fireplaces sat in nearly every wall of the lobby and adjacent sitting area. Leo stared at all of it hours before when he and Aud checked into their room. Now he just followed Aud with only a few quick glances at things he missed on previous trips through, like the stuffed moose that stood off to one side of the sitting area.

“Ah, Aud, was the moose there earlier?” Leo whispered, not wanting to seem like a complete idiot for not seeing the moose before.

“Yeah. It’s been there for years.” Aud stopped and hit the button for the elevator. “I bet you were just taking everything else in and missed the moose.”

The elevator arrived, and after a young couple in his-and-hers snowsuits walked past them, they entered.

Once they got into their room, which felt to Leo more like a smaller version of the sitting area of the lobby with a bed instead of a moose, Aud caught Leo up in his arms and kissed him. Leo relaxed and let the wonderful joy he always felt when in Aud’s arms flow through him.

As their lips parted, Aud sighed lustfully. “We’ve had dinner and a pleasant short walk in the snow. Now what do you want to do?”

“What I always want to do when you’re around.” Leo flashed him a wicked grin. “You.” He unzipped his coat and hung it on one of the hooks next to the door.

Aud trapped him against the wall after placing his own coat next to Leo’s. “I can oblige you in that. What do you say we go over and make use of the fireplace? We haven’t made love in front of a fire yet.”

“They won’t get mad if we use some of the wood over there?” Leo eyed the short stack of firewood set in the iron holder near the fireplace. When they’d come in, he figured it was just part of the decor.

“That’s why it’s there, silly.” Aud laughed as he walked over to the fireplace that already had some wood set and ready for burning. With a quick turn of a handle and the push of a button, Aud had the fire started. It took a couple of minutes for the wood to catch, but the flames provided their own ambiance.

After sitting on the bearskin rug in front of the fire, Aud held his hands out to Leo. “Come on down here. It’s more comfortable than you’d think.”

Leo had never been naked on an animal skin. Normally he was just naked on cotton sheets. He took the few steps between them and accepted Aud’s hand. The wood in the fireplace crackled as he eased down next to Aud.

“This is kinda classically romantic, isn’t it?” Leo laid his new glasses on the cut-log coffee table.

Aud kissed him before answering. “Yes it is.” He held Leo as they kissed.

Leo needed to feel Aud against him. He undid the buttons on Aud’s blue flannel shirt and slid his hands across the firm planes of Aud’s chest, enjoying the way the blond hair there felt against his palms, and he played with it between his fingers. Leo pushed Aud’s shirt over his broad shoulders and down until Aud lifted his hands to slide them out of the sleeves.

While Leo had been undoing his shirt, Aud had been working on Leo’s. When their bare torsos touched, a wave of heat spread across Leo’s body. He loved the way Aud’s form felt against his, but he wanted more than just rubbing their chests together.

Fumbling slightly, Leo undid the button on Aud’s jeans, and working together, they managed to get themselves undressed quickly and easily.

The bearskin rug was softer against his backside than Leo had expected as Aud pushed him back and began kissing his way down Leo’s body. Everywhere Aud’s mouth traveled, it left pulses of heat. Leo caressed Aud’s shoulders, enjoying the tight hardness of them. Then he gasped as Aud wrapped his lips around Leo’s cock. In a smooth motion, Aud swallowed it all the way to the base.

Slowly, Aud slid his mouth up and down Leo’s dick. The warm wetness of Aud’s mouth brought tingles of excitement. He moved his hands from Leo’s legs and reached up to roll Leo’s nipples between his thumbs and forefingers. It wasn’t the first blow job Aud had given him since he’d recovered. Like the other ones, it didn’t last long. Leo’s balls tightened and he arched his back as jizz shot out of him. He moaned softly, afraid anything louder might cause the neighbors to complain.

Aud pulled off Leo’s cock slowly, licking his lips as he did. “Delicious, as always. Just the thing to have for an after-dessert snack.”

Leo got hold of Aud’s shoulders and pulled him closer so they could kiss. Aud sprawled across Leo, his weight just enough to make Leo feel good under it without being too much and crushing him.

Then Aud rolled off him but held on to Leo so he ended up lying across Aud. They continued to kiss. Without any prompting Leo worked his way down Aud, kissing and licking across his muscular chest, paying close attention to the large, savory nipples that were already hard from excitement. He slowly ran his hand up and down Aud’s cock as he kissed toward it. There was the barest hint of musky sweat as he kissed Aud’s dick before working his lips over its bulbous head. Aud lay back and moaned when Leo took hold of his balls and pulled Aud’s cock upright to suck on it more easily.

He didn’t work Aud’s cock long. Leo wanted to do more to it than just suck on it. He lifted off it and smiled at Aud. “We need some lube.”

Aud reached into the mouth of the bear and pulled out a small bottle. “Good thing I thought about this earlier.”

Leo grinned at him. “You even had the bear planned out. What would you have done if I hadn’t wanted to be naked on some animal skin?”

“I would’ve retrieved the lube and put it by the bed as subtly as possible.” Aud ran his hands over Leo’s chest. “I like the fact that we both got tested and came up clean. As long as we’re both faithful, we don’t have to worry about condoms.”

A slight frown dropped Leo’s mouth for a second. “As long as we’re both faithful? Who would be able to replace you in my eyes? You’re my perfect man.” He flipped open the lube and squeezed a bit onto his fingers to get himself ready for Aud’s thick cock.

“And you’re mine. I can’t see either one of us straying.” Aud pulled on Leo’s cock, which was already getting hard again. “It just… oh, I don’t know. Forget I said anything about it.”

Leo bent over and kissed him. “Forgotten.” Then he slathered lube on Aud’s cock. He shifted his seat slightly, bringing his readied ass over Aud’s dick, then eased himself down it.

For a moment pain seared through him.
Relax,
he told himself.
You know he’s big. Relax.

Aud ran his hands up Leo’s torso. “You’re so tight.”

“You’re fucking huge.” Leo’s breaths came in short gasps as he willed himself to relax enough to get the last little bit of Aud into him.

When his butt settled on Aud’s hips, he sat there for a moment. As the pain ebbed, he slowly lifted himself up. Everything felt easier as Aud’s cock nearly slid out of him. Then Leo stopped, with Aud’s cockhead about to pop free. Leo lowered himself back down on Aud’s pole, enjoying the sensations as passion replaced the initial pain of his entry.

After a couple more passes up and down, Leo picked up his pace. His hard cock bounced against his stomach.

Aud stared up at him with a goofy contented look on his face. “You have such an awesome ass.”

Leo traced his fingers across Aud’s jaw line. “It’s like your cock was made to fit into me perfectly.” He shivered as Aud’s dick lengthened a bit more and hit his pleasure point. His own cock quickly grew painfully hard.

Thrusting his hips up, forcing his cock as deep as possible into Leo, Aud caught Leo’s hips. “Here, let me hold you up a bit and fuck you this way. Your cock looks like it needs some attention. It would be really hot for you to shoot your next load all over me while I’m fucking you.”

“I think I can do that.” Leo grinned at Aud. He grabbed his cock and started to work it while Aud fucked him.

With Aud’s dick constantly rubbing against Leo’s prostate while he squeezed his cock, Leo’s balls tingled quickly.

Aud jerked his head back and moaned as he slammed his cock up into Leo. The thick rod pulsed and throbbed as it delivered its heavy load deep inside Leo.

“Shit!” Leo’s second load shot out of him, leaving a long stream of white in the blond hair of Aud’s stomach. He eased down, with Aud’s cock still in his ass. Leo kissed Aud, not caring about the cum that cooled between them.

“I love you,” Aud whispered as their lips parted.

“I love you too.” Leo laid his head on Aud’s shoulder. The warm afterglow of hot sex engulfed him, until he realized part of the warmth on his ass was the roaring fire a short distance away.

He lifted off Aud and smiled at him. “I think we might want to either turn down the fire or back up a bit.”

Aud laughed. “Getting hot from something other than me?” He slid them over, moving just off the bearskin rug.

“A little bit.” Leo settled back on Aud. It felt so good there he didn’t want to move.

They lay on the bearskin rug with only a few soft kisses between them as the fire crackled a short distance away. Leo had never been as content and happy as he was with Aud. It was like the two of them really had been made for each other, even if they came from different worlds.

“Leo.” Aud combed his fingers through Leo’s hair, leaving tingling trails of pleasure in their wake. “I’ve got a question for you.” His voice was a little more serious than Leo expected.

Crap. What’s wrong now? Something always happens when we have really hot sex.
“Sure.”

Aud swallowed and looked nervous. “I’ve been thinking about this for a little while. You know that since Randal broke my bay window, I haven’t exactly been comfortable in the house.”

Leo nodded but didn’t say anything.

“Well,” Aud continued, “I’m thinking about selling the place and getting a new house I’ll feel more safe in. If you would move in with me, I’d get a bigger place.”

“Move in with you?” Leo blinked as the flash of fear disappeared. “Like as in make our relationship official?”

“If you want. I was thinking we could live together for a while before getting married.” Aud’s voice lightened up. “Wow, I wasn’t even going to mention getting married. It’s such a new concept for gays. We can talk about that later, but I’d love to go to sleep with you every night and wake up to you every morning. If you’re willing, I want you to live with me.”

Grinning like a fool, Leo kissed Aud hard. “Yes. I’ll move in with you. Do I get a say in the house?”

“I wouldn’t want to do it any other way.” Aud pulled him down for another long, passionate kiss that lingered enough that both their cocks stiffened again.
