"Yes. I crave chocolate after orgasms," she says with a smile when she rolls over to her back, making my cock hard again when I look down at her laid out in front of me.

"All right, so lots of
Reese’s
." Because she's gonna have a lot of orgasms. "Ask everyone else and text me a list if they want anything. When I get back, I want this shit off the bed and you in it naked with a roll of condoms. Got it?" I ask, pulling my boxers and jeans back on.

"Uh-huh."

I throw my shirt and shoes on then double check that I still have my keys, wallet, and phone, before I'm good to go.

Chapter Fifteen

Sadie

I take another moment to pull myself back together after Jude blew my mind. I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I want him, I want exactly what we just did, but it's not enough. Unfortunately it's all I get with Jude, so I guess I can't really complain.

I push myself up off the floor and take a shower while he's gone. After dressing in pajamas I open my bedroom door to ask for everyone's grocery requests and send Jude a text. When I go back to unpacking suitcases, Brayden comes in and squeezes herself into an empty spot on the bed.

"So, you and Jude didn't waste any time, did you?" she asks, making my face burn.

"Maybe."

"You did!"

"Yeah, and he told me to have all this off the bed and be naked in it when he gets back."

"Are you?" she asks. "Because if you ask me, you shouldn't jump every time he says so. You need to make him work for it."

"You have seen him, right?" I joke, throwing my clothes in the dresser drawer. "Saying no to him is pretty much impossible."

"And you've agreed to just fuck him whenever he wants?"

"Pretty much. That's all he wants."

"Then you shouldn't let him sleep in here," she says.

"I shouldn't?"

"Nope," she says, shaking her long, dark waves. "If you're just fucking then he shouldn't get to sleep with you. That's what people in relationships do."

"I've told him he can't kiss me."

"Good for you, Julia Roberts. Draw the lines in the sand and then sit back and watch him lose his shit until he crosses them."

"But what if he doesn't?" I ask.

"Then you keep your distance without falling even harder."

"You might be right," I concede. It's worth a try, even though I'll miss having him sleep next to me.

After Jude gets back we put away all the groceries and then order a pizza since it’s getting late. By the time we're finished eating I'm exhausted and ready to go to bed. I want nothing more than to curl up with him but...well, he doesn't.

I go to the bedroom we claimed, grab the extra pillow and sheets from the closet and then take them to Jude who's sitting in the living room watching TV with Cassie, Ross and Brayden.

"Here you go," I say, handing the stack of linens to him.

"Ah, what the fuck?" he asks.

"I'm going to sleep and wanted to make sure you have what you need for the pullout bed," I reply sweetly.

His dark eyebrows shoot up to the ceiling and his mouth falls open. He hadn't been expecting that.

"Goodnight," I say to him and everyone else before turning on my heel and heading back to my room. Before I can shut the door, Jude wedges it open.

"What are you doing?" he asks.

"Going to sleep."

"Alone?" he asks

"Yeah of course."

"But I thought-"

"What, that you'd sleep in here, too?" I ask. "We're just fucking, right?"

His jaw falls open again as he stands frozen in place.

I know that since Brayden's got her room to herself she and I could share tonight and let Jude have my bed, but I refuse to do that. Most likely Brayden will be sharing it with someone or multiple people before the week is out, and then I'd end up on the couch. Nope, not going to happen.

I stand there in my pajamas, waiting to see what Jude will do. Say he wants us to be more, or deal with sleeping on the sofa?

"Guess I better get changed then," he says. I refuse to feel disappointed. "Can I come fuck you in the morning?" he asks after jerking his shirt over his head, leaving him bare chested. He doesn't fight fair.

"Sure," my mouth responds quickly without my permission. I watch Jude remove his pants and then pull on a pair of nylon shorts over his boxer-briefs.

"Goodnight," he says, barely glancing in my direction when he strolls out of the room, clearly unaffected.

I wake up when a cool breeze fans my nakedness like sheets have been lifted. I'm still out of it after a fretful night of sleep. The haziness clears pretty much as soon as I feel Jude's lips on my stomach.

I blink my heavy eyelids open and find him hovering over me. His eyes are closed while he kisses his way up my body. I can't help but squirm when he gets to my ticklish ribs. Jude's dark eyes open and meet mine, taking my breath away from the lustful intensity burning in them. When his mouth covers my nipple his hand drifts down between my legs to make sure I'm ready for him. I'm always ready for him.

Apparently Jude can't wait any longer because he settles his hips between mine, and I know he's come prepared when I feel the latex before he eases his hard length into me. After he gives me time to adjust he begins pumping faster and harder, his shallow breathing loud against my ear in the quiet, semi-dark room. I run my hands up and down along his muscular back and wrap my legs around his waist.

Despite how good he feels moving in and out of me, my mind is a tangled mess that won't allow me to get close to a release even when Jude's fingers try and set me off by reaching down between us.

"Shit, sorry, Sadie," he says against my neck after he finishes and I don't, the first words either of us have spoken.

"It's no big deal," I say with a shrug.

"I can go down on you."

"No, that's okay."

Jude pushes himself up so he can look at me. "What's wrong?" he asks.

Seriously? He's asking me what’s wrong? Well, let's see, he makes me feel like he can't live without me, then he breaks up with me. He gets upset when any other guy talks to me. He fucks me after knocking out the guy I was with, and he wants to know what's wrong? It's too much to keep up with. I want him however I can get him, but that doesn't mean it's easy to feel like he's just using me to get off. I'm head over heels in love with him, and he could care less!

"It's early. What time is it?" I blink back the tears and ask, instead of telling him all that.

"Six-fifteen."

"Jesus, Jude! You do know what vacation means, right?" No wonder it's so dark in here.

"I get up at six every morning," he says.

"That doesn't mean that I want to," I reply.

"Sorry, I just..."

"Just couldn't wait until the sun came up to fuck me?"

"No," he admits, lowering his head and brushing his lips over my neck.

"Well I'm not the freaking 7-Eleven. My legs aren't open all night."

Jude chuckles causing his body to rumble deliciously against mine. "It's a good thing you didn't let me stay in here or you wouldn't have gotten any sleep."

I shiver with arousal at his words and refuse to admit that I didn't sleep much for wishing he was here doing exactly what he's referring to.

"You could just tell me no," he says.

Right, like I could ever say no to him. "I know that."

"So whatcha got planned today?" he asks.

"Nothing. I'm on vacation."

"Then come running with me."

"Running!" I exclaim.

"I'll go slow, so you can keep up," he says, raising up to smile down at me.

"Hey! I'm not that slow. I came in third in the state cross-country meet, thank you very much."

"Third? Damn, woman! You might have to slow down for me."

"You do remember that thing I said about being on vacation, right? Most people sit on the beach or lounge by the pool, not wake up at six to go running."

"We're not most people. Come on. You run a few miles with me before it gets hot, then we'll do whatever you want the rest of the day."

Thinking it over I finally agree. "Deal."

"I promise I won't fuck you again unless you initiate it," he says.

"And if you cave first?" I ask with a grin.

"Then I'll wake you up with breakfast in bed the rest of the week instead of fucking you."

"You can fuck me first if you want," I tell him.

"Deal," he says with a wide dimpled simple. "Now get your ass up."

Chapter Sixteen

Jude

After Sadie and I ran up the coast several miles and then all the way back we hit the shower together and I lost our bet. Although, fucking her against the shower wall didn't really feel like losing. No, it was more like winning the Mega Millions lottery.

Once we dried off Sadie wanted us to hang out around the pool with the rest of the group until we all went to dinner together. While we were eating at one of the pop themed restaurants I came up with a plan to stay in Sadie's bed all night.

As soon as we get back to the condo I'm going to fuck her and afterwards I'll just accidentally fall asleep there and she'll let me stay.

Wrong!

"Jude," Sadie says, waking me up with a shake to my shoulder. "You fell asleep, but I pulled out the sofa bed and got it ready for you."

Blinking my eyes open, I realize she's completely serious. She's not going to let me sleep with her. She still won't let me kiss her either, damn it!

I grunt and curse as I drag my tired ass out of her warm comfy bed, pull on my shorts and shuffle my feet to the dark living room before falling onto the thin, springy couch mattress. Trying to settle in turns out to be impossible, especially with the surround sound of sex noises coming from the other rooms. And great, now my dick is hard and I'm out here all alone. I should be curled up to Sadie right now. Or even better, between her legs, making our own moans and cries. I know exactly what to do to make that happen, too.

Sadie wants more. She wants the dating, hand holding, mushy shit just like I do, but I can't tell her why we can't. That I'm lying to her, and her dad's lying to her. Besides, it'd only be temporary since she's leaving for college in a few weeks. There's no reason for us to get more attached. I'm caught between wanting it all and knowing we're better off with nothing. Maybe this week should be it for us. Fuck and get it out of our systems, and then when we get back home we'll go our separate ways.

Just the thought makes me feel sick.

The next morning I wake up and fix Sadie pancakes before I fuck her. I wait until seven so she's not as cranky as the morning before when I take her from behind.

After we eat she’s in a great mood when we head out for a walk on the beach. We go barefoot so we can cool our toes off in the high tide and pick up seashells. I already have a cargo pocket full when Sadie starts freaking out.

“Do you know what that is?” she asks, pointing to the wavy pattern in the sand.

“Um, tire tracks?” I ask, but realize how stupid that guess is since the tracks are too close together, heading to and from the water.

“They’re turtle tracks!” she exclaims, following the trail up to the dunes.

“A turtle?” I ask.

“Yeah, a female loggerhead sea turtle must have come up last night and laid eggs.”

“Really?” I ask, wondering how she knows all that from some marks in the sand.

“Yeah. May starts the nesting season, and in about sixty days the hatchlings will dig their way out and follow the light from the moon to find the ocean. I’m surprised a mother would leave them here because of all the lights from the beach houses.”

“So she’s a bad mother?” I joke.

“Well, I guess so, but at least here the local rescue group will come out and protect the nest with mesh screens to keep other animals from eating them. Can I use your phone to call them?” she asks.

“Um, sure,” I say, handing it over.

After doing an Internet search she finds the local aquarium’s number and calls to talk to the sea turtle conservation department and tells them about the marks.

“Okay, the aquarium’s nest watch team is coming out to confirm the spot of the eggs and mark up the site if she did lay them here.”

“How do you know so much about sea turtles?” I ask.

“Oh, well, um, it’s no secret that I’m a dork,” she says, pushing her hair behind her ear and looking out over the ocean. Her cheeks redden, and she sounds somewhat embarrassed about admitting that.

“There’s nothing wrong with being smart, Sadie. Or having a thing for turtles,” I tell her, reaching for her hand to intertwine her fingers with mine. “It’s pretty damn adorable to see you all excited about something that’s important to you.”

“Thanks,” she says with a small smile. “I’ve always felt bad for the little guys. Sea turtles are endangered because of our pollution, which is just sad. The mothers lay nests of a hundred or so eggs and then just leave them to fend for themselves. It seems so…unnatural for them to abandon their babies and never look back, which is probably why only a few manage to survive.”

“That behavior isn’t limited to just sea turtles,” I mutter.

“No, it’s not. Maybe that’s why I sympathize with the hatchlings.”

“I hate my mother.” I blurt out the words without considering them, but don’t take them back since they’re true. “She’s a selfish bitch that gave up her family for a piece of ass she had no business being with.”

“I know the feeling,” Sadie says with a sigh. “I’ve never been important or a priority to my mom and that pisses me off. My friends all have mothers who would do anything for them, to the point that they drive them crazy. But mine...” She shakes her head. “I’m never going to be more than a runner-up to something or someone else, so I give up.”

“I’m sorry. You should come first with her, but I know for a fact that you do as far as your dad’s concerned.”

Now I realize why it was so important to him that I take Sadie to the prom. She means the world to him and he just wants her to be happy. And instead of making her happy I’ve only managed to hurt her. I basically told her that the title fight is more important to me than her. But if I’m honest with myself I know that’s not true, despite the incredible opportunity it presents and how I’ve worked for years to get this chance. In the end it’s just a few minutes of sweating and bleeding, and then it’s over. I win or I lose, but neither outcome will really change who I am. With Sadie I’ve found something that feels life altering and even permanent.

“I guess we’re lucky to have amazing dads,” she says, pulling me out of my deep reflection.

“We are,” I agree. And now I can’t tell Sadie the truth because it'll crush her to find out her dad bargained a fight for me to go out with her. I can’t be the one responsible for coming between the two of them. But trying to end things with her isn’t going to happen either. I’m falling in love with her, and if I hadn’t been such an asshole then she might feel the same way about me.

I'm trying to find the words to tell her how I want her, all of her, when the aquarium people show up. Sadie’s enthusiasm for sea turtles is contagious. The two young college interns are really nice, more than happy to share their stories about working with the aquarium for the past two years, and it’s obvious that Sadie’s envious of the girls.

“You should do that,” I tell Sadie when we’re walking back to the condo.

“Do what?” she asks with the same bright smile she’s had for the past hour, her hand still in mine.

“The internship thing with a conservation group.”

“That would be awesome,” she agrees. “But not exactly helpful for my major.”

“It could be an elective.”

“Maybe,” she says with a shrug.

As soon as we get back to our room I fuck Sadie in the shower again after we wash the sand off of each other, and despite my attempts she still won’t fucking kiss me.

As we dry off and put on swimsuits to head to the pool I decide that I’m ready to say and do whatever it takes to convince her I want more. That I want it all with her. But then something happens causing Sadie to shut completely down.

"What's wrong?" I ask when she sinks down on the bed, frowning at her phone.

She shakes her head and when she finally looks up at me I almost swear her eyes are watering and her face is paler. “I’m fine, let’s go,” she says quickly, rushing to the door.

While I'm swimming laps in the pool Sadie and Brayden have their heads together in two lounge chairs like they're plotting. Brayden looks pissed off, probably because she's not getting her way. That girl is a spoiled handful.

Sadie is full out moping by the afternoon, and I'm starting to seriously worry about her. It just doesn’t make sense since she was so damn happy this morning. After finding her curled up in bed I asked her if she wanted to go for a run with me. She declined saying she was tired and wanted to take a late nap. Not knowing what else to do, I reluctantly leave her be.

When I get out of the shower after my eight mile run, Sadie's nowhere to be found. I eventually see her text on my phone saying she'd gone shopping with Brayden.

What the fuck? Why would she up and go shopping at eight o'clock at night?

I head out to the living room to see if the other girls are here, and if so find out where they've gone. Cassie and Ross are in the kitchen fixing dinner.

"You guys know where Sadie and Brayden went?"

Cassie turns quickly away from me before she answers with a short, "Nope."

"You sure about that?" I ask. "Ross?"

"No idea," he says. "Sorry, man, but I think something's up."

"Ross!" Cassie exclaims.

Still holding my phone, I call Sadie. It rings a few times and then goes to voicemail.

"What's Brayden's number?" I ask.

"Wh-why?" Cassie asks.

Ross grabs the phone from his girlfriend's pocket and tosses it to me.

"Thanks."

"Sorry, Cass, bros before...lovely ladies. It's the code."

I definitely owe him one.

Finding Brayden's number I dial straight from Cassie's phone. She thankfully picks up on the second ring.

"God, Cass. This is so fucked up! Maybe we should tell Jude," Brayden answers in a panic.

"Tell Jude what?" I ask with my heart racing. "Now, Brayden!"

"Jude? Oh my God! Sadie's..."

"Sadie's, what? Let me talk to her!"

"I'm not with her!"

"What?! Where the hell is she?" I ask.

"Ryder-"

"She's with
Ryder
?" I yell through the phone.

"He's blackmailing her! He sent her a video of them fucking and she didn't know he was recording her. He told her he was going to post it on the Internet unless..."

"Unless
what
?" I will kill that fucking bastard!

"He said he'd give her the video on a flash drive and delete it everywhere else if she...but she had to..."

"
What
!?!" I scream.

"Fuck him in his hotel room while his friends watch."

"You can't be serious," I mutter, feeling like my blood has turned to ice. Just as quickly, the rage that spreads through me brings it to a boil.

"She didn't want you to know because she was afraid you'd kick his ass and get in trouble, lose your title shot over her. She was trying to act like it’s no big deal since you and she aren't really together, but-"

"Where. Is. She?" I grit out through my teeth.

"I-I don't know. The hotel is the
Coral Reef.
She had me drop her off, but I don't know what room number and now she won't answer her phone!"

"I'm on my way there. Meet me in the lobby. Ask what room the dead fucker is in if you get back there first."

"Car now!" I tell Ross and Cassie, not leaving room for argument. Ross is quicker to understand, jumping up to turn off the oven before urging Cassie toward the door. I hand the girl back her phone. "You're going to look up the address for the
Coral Reef
and tell me how to get there while I drive."

I grab the keys to the SUV and the three of us rush down the steps to the parking lot and climb in. Ross takes over the navigating from the passenger seat while I call Page on my cell.

"Hey, Jude!" she answers right away.

"Page, I need you to call the Myrtle Beach Police Department right this second. Tell them you're an attorney or whatever else you have to. Just get them to hurry their asses over to the
Coral Reef
because there's about to be a murder."

"Jude, what's going on?"

"Sadie's being blackmailed and didn't fucking tell me! She's in a room full of guys right this second, and I swear I will kill every single one of them who touch her."

"Oh God! Okay I'm gonna call them. Jude, don't-"

I hang up, not wanting to hear her tell me not to do anything stupid and to calm the fuck down. There is no calming down. I'm just trying to think through the rage to figure out how to find the bastards the quickest.

"Cassie, write down the first and last names of every fucker and their parents’ names that the room might be under," I tell her. Trying to think logically when I feel like I'm about to combust isn't easy, but we need to narrow down the options.

Pulling up at the entrance I'm out with the napkin of names, heading for the lobby a second later, looking for Brayden.
