(Rose)

I walked up behind Wes and pushed my finger to his back. He turned, looked at me, and then wrapped his arms around me. He carried me out of the room of death and walked me to the hallway. He then put me against a wall and started to kiss me. It was hot, it was wild.

I grabbed his face and thrust my hips at him. I never wanted someone as bad as I wanted Wes right then.

The only reason we stopped kissing was because Aton cleared his throat.

Wes put an arm around me and held me tight to his body as we faced a man who could have us killed in a heartbeat.

You both lied to me,

Aton said.

A cruel lie. Faking a marriage. Knowing it would hit me in a tender spot.

Aton,

Wes said.

No,

he said.

You

re no longer invincible, Wes. You have a reason to survive. A reason to fight. She

s next to you.

I love her,

Wes said.

I pulled at Wes. I loved hearing him say that.

Rose,

Aton said and gave a nod.

I watched as Rose reached into her pocket. She took out a ring and showed it to me.

You can

t have a proper marriage without a ring,

Aton said.

That

s an important ring to me. You two best take good care of it.

What are you doing?

Wes asked.

Is this
…”

It was the ring Aton gave his late wife. And now it was in my possession. As long as Wes wanted me to actually wear it. No matter what it actually represented.

Aton,

Wes said.

I can

t.

You can and will,

he said.

There

s a lot of noise coming my way. I have a lot of business to tend to. I expect you both to disappear for a long time. Until I call for you.

When there

s a fight?

Wes asked.

Yes.

Can

t Wes work for you?

I asked.

After everything
…”

There

s rules,

Aton said.

He smells of an Irishman. I can

t control that.

Aton flickered a grin and then dropped his cane. He opened his arms and nodded to Wes.

I can give you love, Wes. Come here, son.

Wes stepped forward and hugged Aton. This was a big deal. Aton touched Wes

s face and kissed both cheeks. He patted Wes on the cheek and then pulled him close and whispered something in his ear. Wes gave a nod and then set his sights on me.

A second later, I was pinned up against the wall again, Wes

s mouth against mine.

~ ~ ~

My nails dug at Wes

s ass. God, his fucking ass was perfect. I wanted him harder, faster, and deeper. He fucked me so hard the bed slammed against the bedroom wall with thundering booms. We were in the cabin, tucked in the woods, and I

m sure my screams were enough to scare away animals for miles. We were wild, feral, tearing at each other like this moment should have never been allowed to exist.

His right hand cupped my breast hard. His tongue slithered along my neck and when he found my lips, my body was set back on fire. The orgasm was endless; it was the only way to describe it. From the first thrust of his cock, my body quivered and ached with the most intense pleasure possible.

His other hand then touched the back of my neck. Wes came forward hard and then stopped. My body shook, waiting for more.

Wes broke the kiss and let his nose play with mine.

Fuck, sweetie.

Fuck. Yes.

You have to know how much I love you.

I can feel it,

I said and wiggled my hips.

God, his cock

his thickness filling me

I want you in nothing but that damn ring everyday,

he said.

Deal.

I smiled.

I love you, Wes.

I love you, Rose.

Our lips touched. Our tongues flirted. Then Wes started to fuck me again.

We had another good hour to go before we were done.

I turned my head and felt everything Wes had to offer. His sweaty muscles sliding against my body. His powerful chest against my breasts. His tongue and lips at my neck, leaving me tickled but way more pleasured. My left hand outstretched on the bed and gripped the sheets. I hooked my ankles around his body and pulled. I stared at the diamond ring on my finger and smiled.

It wasn

t a marriage proposal. It wasn

t any kind of proposal. It was a ring. With a little diamond in it. But Wes stole it from my hand. He slid it on my finger. He kissed me. And he whispered to me,

Sorry for trying to blow up your car
…”

That

s all I needed.

Just Wes. All the time. For the rest of my life. Whether we were hiding, running, fighting, or just fucking each other like there was no tomorrow, nothing was better than Wes.

As Wes started to come, I arched my back. I felt his hot breath on my chest and he grunted with each pulse of his body.

Yeah, I could totally get used to this

(Wes)

I pointed to my car and Rose started to walk toward it. I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to my body.

Wait.

Why?

I thought about what Aton had said.

I can

t undo it right now, Wes. That

s why you have to go. Head north. It

s cold, snowy, but I have a little place. I built it for my wife. We never got a chance to share it. Take it. Nobody knows except me. I

ll be in touch sometime

My hands slipped around Rose

s body and I held her.

I slowly started to back her up.

Wes

what are you doing

?

A guy came out of the restaurant. He adjusted his bow tie and then waved to me. I pointed to him and then smiled.

Where do you want it?

he yelled.

Around back is just fine,

I said.

Thanks, friend.

I didn

t know the guy

s name. I didn

t give a shit. It wasn

t my business.

Are you really making him valet your car?

Rose asked.

We

re a hundred feet away.

I kept stepping back, over and over.

Now it

s one-ten. One-fifteen
…”

Wes, I don

t unde
…”

My car exploded.

The thundering boom was followed by a swift heat. I swore the car lifted off the ground a couple feet too.

Point being - the guy behind the wheel was dead. Gone.

Aton

s family had wanted me and Rose taken out. That was what he couldn

t stop right now. That would take a little time and Aton didn

t have it. What he did have was the name of a valet driver who had been recording conversations between himself and members of his family. That valet driver was now nothing but charred

along with my car.

Wes,

Rose said as she shivered.

No, no,

I said.

It

s all taken care of, sweetie. That was my offering to Aton. And his
…”

I turned her around to the car behind us. A black, sleek SUV. A beautiful vehicle that would take us north into the mountains to hide out for a little while. Bags in the back packed with our clothes and a bag with more money than I

d ever know how to spend.

I walked Rose to the passenger side and helped her up.

We had to move fast - people were flooding out of the restaurant to check on the fiery scene of what used to be my car.

Oh, Aton had it all worked out that I would be the assumed party in the car. That my death would spread around. The invincible fighter blown up. Then he

d work out a deal with the family, explain who was actually in the car and that I did it. Then I

d show up as a ghost to a fight and have the greatest comeback in illegal underground fighting.

That was all in time though.

I climbed into the driver

s seat and went to push the button to start the brand new SUV.

Wait,

Rose said as she grabbed my wrist.

What?

What if this is rigged?

What if it is?

I asked.

Then we go together. You and me.

You

d do that

?

If I

m with you, sweetie, I

m good. Alive, dead, in between. Whatever. I just want you. And nothing else.

She put her hand on mine. She smiled a little flirty smile. Damn, my heart couldn

t take that kind of shit.

We leaned in close and our lips touched.

Together, we reached forward and touched the starter of the SUV.

We kissed, the engine kicked over to life, and there was indeed an explosion. Of an invincible romance. The beauty. The fighter. And the rest of their lives together.

Don

GAME

She was my prize for winning a fight

but now I have to get her pregnant to stay alive.

Normally I get paid in cash for winning a fight, but when I see Shayna being held hostage, she becomes the prize. Of course I win the fight

I never lose. The second I take Shayna by the hand, claiming her, that

s the second the bullets started to fly.

I never considered a serious relationship before in my life, let alone someone telling me I need to father a child with a woman I just met. But the rules are pretty simple: either I get Shayna pregnant or we both die. And the baby we are supposed to create? He or she is going to be used to replace a life that

s been lost, meaning Shayne will have to give up the baby.  While that may force us into the bedroom, it doesn

t force the instant heat and connection between us. We both know we can get away with lying about trying, but only for so long.

We need an escape plan

and fast.

We are not supposed to fall for each other, but soon our private time becomes something more powerful than I ever could imagine. All our pretending, however, ends up with a big surprise: Shayna actually gets pregnant.

When she tells me, I know one thing for damn sure

I am not going to lose the woman I love

and I am not going to lose my unborn child either.
